a view of a vineyard with mountains in the background

This is my favourite winery to stop at when I'm driving through the Similkameen Valley. It's a family-run VQA estate winery, restaurant, and now B&B that makes wonderful, drinkable German-style wines such as Riesling and Pinot Auxerrois. The Riesling seems to be popular - they often sell out of it long before the summer's over. I also love the blends, such as the sharp and tangy Cuvee #3. They used to do more blends, but North American wine drinkers don't really go for them, so they mostly do varietals now. Crowsnest isn't found too much in liquor stores, but if you like white wines, definitely seek this one out. I haven't been to the restaurant, but the patio has a lovely view of the vineyards, mountains, and the family's very cute old border collie

To say the schnitzel and spätzle were a spiritual experience would be an understatement. I have had amazing food in my lifetime, but I would rate this as my #1. I didn't want the meal to end. I am German and It's the best schnitzel I've ever tasted. Try the bubbly gewürztraminer or a local cider to pair. Terrific service, beautiful setting. I will be back at every available opportunity!

The Pate Platter - beautiful lunch of pickles, pate, bread, mustard, and herbed butter.

Unimpressed with the food and service. Not bad, but not special. Pricing would need to drop by ~20% to be appropriate.

Staying at the resort, this is really your only choice for restaurant. Before we even got one word out, the host looked at us and said "oh you need a reservation to eat here and we are all full." Umm...ya we have a reservation, we were just asking a question! We confirmed the reservation time with him and inquired about being able to reserve a table on the patio as we were there celebrating a special occasion. He told us "no we can't save a seat outside, and most likely the patio will be full, you will have to sit indoors." Everyone was a bit offput by his unnecessarily snarky attitude but oh well. Fast forward to the next day of our reservation, we showed up for our 8:00pm reso and were told "oh, no it says here you already checked in for your reservation today at 5pm." We were super confused and assured them that we had indeed not checked in at 5pm and the woman said again "well, that's what it says here." Lol! They finally believed us that we were not having 2 dinners and found us a seat (on the patio!) The food took about 75 minutes to arrive. I ordered a tuna sandwich without bacon. It arrived with a ton of bacon on it! I pointed it out and the waitress said "oh sorry I forgot to ask them...do you want to make a new one?" Since our food took over an hour to come out, there was no way I was going to wait to make a whole new meal, so I just peeled the bacon off and ate my sandwich. No one else's food had mistakes but we were all disappointed with the service, disorganization, and slowness.

We found just being direct was the best way, they are not the type of servers who will read your mind and follow a checklist. Ask for a jug of water and order right away if your starving. The 4 stars is more for the food and ambiance. Very nice view, beautiful twinkle lights. The food we had was great! Calamari was delicious, not over cooked. The Cobb salad had lots of ingredients and a great flavour! The ravioli (not a large portion) was delicious and rich (why there isn't a large portion) It was excellent Lastly we had the sticky toffee pudding. Tasted like Christmas. Was good, but nothing compares to the Rimrock in Whistler. All in all I left very happy. Just lower your expectations for service.

The daughter Manpreet was taking care of the wine tastings while were there and she was so personable, knowledge and helpful. This was one of the nicest wine tasting experiences that we had during our trip to the Okanagan, Osoyoos area. Manpreet told us to make outselves comfortable on the patio and she would bring the wines out to us for our tastings. As each wine was poured Manpreet would describe the wine to us, tell us what foods would be recommended with it and then leave us alone with the wine to enjoy on our own before coming out with the next wine. They were all delicious. After we had finished with our wine tasting we went inside to make our purchases. My husband especially liked the buddaful. There is a tasting fee but it is waived with purchase. It was a wonderful wine tasting and we're glad that we're able to access their wines in Oliver. Go! You'll have one of the best wine tasting experiences. Wonderful wines, knowledgeable patient hostess and reasonable prices. You can't go wrong.

We dropped in on a Friday afternoon (around 1:30pm). It wasn't busy so we had the full attention of their staff. Tasting menu is $5.00/person and gets you 5 samples. There was 11 to choose from (4 whites and 7 reds). As usual, tasting fee is waived if you buy a bottle. Bottles are in the $20.00 to $45.00 range (tax included). - 2018 white bridge - easy drinking white blend of muscat, chardonnay and riesling. - 2017 scout vineyard riesling - sweet aroma but a mineral taste that B did not particularly enjoy. - 2018 gamay- this was our favourite of the bunch so we bought a bottle ($25.00). Juicy, smooth raspberries. - 2017 scout vineyard syrah - peppery and earthy notes. - 2016 passion pit vineyard cabernet sauvignon - a classic cab sav. Very savoury. - 2016 hendsbee vineyard petit verdot- these are usually blended with other reds so it was interesting to try on its own. Much more tannin forward (aka. dry). Decent wines. 3.5 stars.

Shame on you for marketing these disappointing unfiltered wines that reminded me of my grandmas hooch. It's especially bad business to force these into your wine club shipments. We contacted the winery about this and John Weber, Owner/winemaker responded by saying basically, our taste is unrefined and we would be happier as not part of their wine club. So we cancelled our membership.

Boy, oh boy, we were not disappointed. Robin Ridge Winery is situated in the stunning Similkameen Valley. The 100% estate-grown, organic fruit is crafted into small quantities of high quality wine. I don't know how they do it (maybe with lots of love and also being certified organic!) but they produce intense and quality flavour wines. I enjoyed all the four wines from the tasting which starts with a white to rose and finishing with the intense Gamay red. Their "famous" 2020 Flamingo was not on the tasting menu as stock was getting low. I took the plunge and bought this rosé as it was not sold in the BC VQA while the other rosé, Flicker, and the Chardonnay were. The staff informed us that the rosé wines were named for birds starting with the letter F. How cute! Price points for the wines were surprisingly amazing for the high level flavours and also being a certified organic vineyard. My friend was so pleased , 2 more bottles came home with us. If you are visiting the Similkameen Valley, I strong suggest you stop by. The Chardonnay, Rosé (Flicker) and Gamay were the winners for me and others also agree as there are many winning medals displayed. I look forward to my next return and will be telling my family and friends about this spectacular winery that has it all and maybe some more surprises down the road.

That kind of family relaxing atmosphere is absolutely great, firstly, and I really like it. The proprietors of the winery are very friendly and the tasting desk is very well-versed in their wines. They usually have up to 8 different wines available for taste and aren't pretentiously charging huge fees like other parts of B.C. (I'm looking at you, Black Hills). In fact, they charge none at all! But you will almsot definitely walk out with something that you like. They have a huge array of reds and whites. In particular, I remember their Flamingo, which is a rose they made from their 15 year old son experimenting with table grapes (I'm guessing for a science experiment? Or for what 15 year olds always want to do, which is make their own wine?). The Flamingo is refreshing and sugarier than most roses, which is a perfect kind of summer wine to relax with. It also reflects that table grape kind of consistency. What keeps me coming back is one of the best medium reds in the province, their Gamay. A lovely wine that matched well with all manner of cheese that I could fling at it, this wine has a beautiful brooding dark fruit aroma but none of the insane amount of body that cabernet sauvignon or syrah carries with it. It's kind of like a merlot, but exciting. Actually, their merlot's quite good too... Definitely check out this place before heading out to Osoyoos. You won't regret it.
