Wow, wow, wow. Living in Oregon, I know good Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir. The fact that I brought home 6 bottles should tell you enough. Incredible wines...well made, balanced, perfection. And you must dine at the bistro. The view is great and they feature art in their tasting room. Simply an experience to remember.

This place is just awesome. :) I haven't been in lots of wineries in the area and, in the reality, this is the only one I decided to check it out. I am glad I did it! The view is stunning, the food was amazing, the staff was pretty nice, the bistro itself was so clean and elegant, and finally the wines were very good. At the bistro, I tried their steak dish and my husband tried the flatbread. The waitress suggested the best wine for each of those dishes and we loved it. We loved the food and wine. We also has a delicious chocolate mousse as desserts. We did a wine tasting as well and we ended up taking few bottles with us. This is definitely a MUST GO around Penticton area!

The Sommelier at Mission Hill recommended us to drop by this local gem after our stop at Blue Mountain Vineyard, and we are so happy that we did. This 7-weeks old vineyard is truly a rising star. When you walk into the lobby your eyes will open up to the view of the oily-green vineyard through the patio glass. Look around you will appreciate art works from Liquidity designer - Ian's private Art collection. This is definitely a clean, modern yet welcoming space. The tasting room is located to your left, and you can enjoy beautiful whites and reds poured by the classy staff. The Viognier 2012 and Merlot 2011 are already sold out. I love the White Blend 2012 that is very citrus and stone fruits on the nose and a natural acidic balance on the tongue. Pinot Noir 2011 is yummy because it's got a beautiful floral note and a centered tannin structure with ripen berries. You can feel that the team at Liquidity poured their heart and soul into the winery, and it only uses French barrels on site, I look forward to coming back here next year when the patio is opened. Cheerio~

Stop the presses. Go to Liquidity. Now. We came here to try the wines, but upon a glance at their gorgeous patio, I knew we had to sit down to try out their food. Apparently they are usually booked up in advance and do not take walk-ins (at least not on a busy Saturday over a long weekend), but hey, why not try. After some coaxing and an insistence that we would just try some desserts and head out shortly, the team relented and I'm so glad that they did. We ordered a few desserts off their menu and they were divine. I'm not usually a sweets kind of guy (or sweet guy for that matter), but enjoyed every taste of it. Apparently it has been on the Top 100 Restaurants of Canada list by TripAdvisor for the past two years. Can't wait to come back and stay for a full meal.

    Relaxing and amazing view.

In a nutshell: great food and service, amazing view. We came to the Liquidity winery and bistro on a Monday afternoon following a recommendation for the best patio view (it won some award last year) and boy it it deliver... First we stopped to taste the wines and then proceeded to the calm patio overlooking the vineyards and more distant hills. Sitting next to the overflowing water element (don't know how to describe it) was very relaxing. Just spectacular (see photo). Service was quick and our server was friendly and knowledgable. Very professional. The food was very appealing to the eye and palat. My wife had the mussels which was very flavorful and I enjoyed the toasted baguette sandwich with prosciutto and brie cheese, one of the best sandwiches I had in years (or maybe it was the combination of good food, amazing views and some alcohol in my bloodstream?). At any event. Warmly recommended.

I did not see any Teletubbies there. I did not see a slender plastic tag clipped to an employee's shirt with a name printed on it. And I certainly did not see a little Asian child with a blank expression on his face sitting outside on a mechanical helicopter that shakes when you put quarters in it. This was an art gallery, my friend, and Liquidity was a piece of art. My girlfriend and I were on vacation through Okanagan wine country. Over six days, we visited sixty wineries. You can follow our various locations with this disclaimer. That's sixty wineries, not an exaggeration. We ended the trip with 120 bottles acquired. This is closer to what I expect from a winery. An extended drive until the worry sets in you're about to drive into a Wes Craven cliché. Progressive art pieces begging for a photo against a picturesque landscape. An open-concept restaurant where your hands rest inches from a still-water feature. Liquidity is a destination, a place you detour to visit. It's itself as much a work of art as the pieces hanging on its walls. Yes, Liquidity also boasts an art gallery, connecting back to the paraphrased Unbreakable quote at the beginning of this review. After ogling and sampling, my girlfriend and I settled in for lunch, which obviously involved charcuterie...because that is just what everyone does on vacation apparently. It appears a standard practice--every restaurant in the Okanagan offers their variation. Perhaps there is a battle of charcuteries across the region--if so, this one may have won the trophy. It looked amazing and tasted to match. Even the server commented that he chef had outdone himself. Maybe he saw my camera... It's just a damn shame the wine is only so-so. This was one of the few locations where we did not pick up a bottle. We didn't regret the visit, and enjoyed it more than some other wineries where we did buy wine. Liquidity is a destination winery, and of all the others in this area, this one's a necessity. You may enjoy the wine, but even if you don't, you'll relish in everything else.

The food was delicious! It was topped only by the wine and the view. This bistro overlooks the rolling hills, mountains and vineyards of the Okanagan. The staff was attentive. The meat was cooked to perfection. Everything was nicely paired with the right amount of sauce and roasted vegetables. This restaurant is a must if you are passing through or staying in the region.

Beautiful wine tasting and beautiful atmosphere. Never had dinner in a more elegant place. We got to sit right by the window with the sun setting, with all the Vineyards in view. Our server Kevin was extremely helpful and knowledgeable- he recommended the lamb and the halibut which were both amazing. The halibut was the best fish dinner I've had in my life- fresh juicy halibut wrapped in vine leaves with a tomato consomé. Delicious!!!!!

My family and I stopped at the bistro for dinner, and it was lovely! The winery has gorgeous views and a really nice outdoor patio. You can also walk down into the vineyards. Also, I am vegan and the chef made a dish of quinoa with veggies and a tomato sauce for me. It was the most delicious vegan meal I've ever had! I strongly recommend this place for a vegan :) Others ordered the halibut for dinner and an ice cream sandwich for dessert, which they said were also yummy.

Beautiful building and view. Food and service was great. Our server was personable and professional. Definitely worth a visit if you are in OK Falls. Try the Chardonnay! It's a beautiful and creamy white wine.

Splendid experience all-around! Beautiful patio views and when it got colder at night we were moved to an equally comfortable spot indoors amongst the modern, artistic decor. Service staff were outstanding, especially when we wanted to sample wines to pair with our meals. Portion sizes were good and all courses delicious and beautifully presented. An excellent dining experience!

Their blackened chicken & goat cheese sandwich with the candied jalapeños, pickles (gherkins I believe) and arugula is second to none. My only regret about their sandwich is that I didn't have room for a second one because of their generous portion of both sandwich and crispy delicious fries. I can't say enough about them. It may have been even better than the first time I had it. Like I said, consistent and consistently delicious. Well worth the 80km drive to get to them. Highly, highly recommended! I know charcuterie boards are having a moment and Nighthawk's is by far the best.....nothing else comes close, anywhere. But this review is about their bed & breakfast accommodations. My wife and I stayed there recently while attending a family reunion down at the lake. After all the frenetic family activity at the lake, the solitude and quiet of the tent house were just what the doctor ordered. Enjoying the view of the vineyard and lake from the porch was very relaxing. The location is remote enough that there are no lights to block out the stars. The only sounds at night were the breeze rustling the Ponderosa pines and the owls calling to each other from one side of the valley to the other. And the breakfasts, like the regular bistro fare, were simple, but elegant and exquisite: Fresh pastries, local fruit, and probably the best coffee in the Okanagan. This was how every day should start and end. Christy and Daniel really know how to run an inn. I cannot recommend this place enough, for all the experiences. We will definitely be back.

Nighthawk Vineyards…read more Having visited over 100 wineries in the Okanagan region over the course of a year, I hope my opinion carries some weight by saying Nighthawk Vineyards has the best view in the entire Okanagan. There's a valley with a lake sitting at the base. Vineyards crawling up to the winery. A solemn log house fringing freshly cut grassy hills--look, I got photos, just check those out. It's a narrow margin, I will admit. I mean, when you consider Bench 1775 or Arrowleaf, second place is not that far behind. But at the end, I must admit that Nighthawk takes the top prize. We would have remained longer if we hadn't enjoyed a picnic at See Ya Later Ranch the hour previously or if it hadn't been hotter than the surface of Venus that day. Yes, I am exaggerating; it was like 32 degrees, but I am from Northern Canada, so there. Nighthawk is further out than See Ya Later, so a further diversion down a road you probably were unsure about being on. You certainly cannot drive past it. It's a destination. My group and I had figured since we were out this way, we might as well hit up another one. And you should to--this place is incredible. Admittedly, there is bias--we were the only ones there that time, so we had the grounds to ourselves as well as the host's undivided attention. The wine was good as well, obviously a requirement. While my friends bought wine, I scored a 2016 Late Harvest "Gew". Yes, "gew". A host referred to a Gewurztraminer as a "gew" and I've been doing that ever since. Yes, it annoys people, and I don't care, like whenever I laugh my head off each time I refer to a Crate & Barrel as "Craate and Baarrel" (long story). If you ever need help pronouncing it, just remember "girls are meaner." Nighthawk is a great place and if you are coming out here for See Ya Later Ranch, another must-see location, making it two, justifying the diversion even more.

It's like saying Return of the Jedi is disappointing compared to The Empire Strikes Back. You still got that awesome speeder-bike chase and that moment Luke flips out and attempts patricide. But yeah, when grading against the other two, it's not the best. This assumes I am not counting the prequels. It's certainly not The Godfather, Part 3--Meyer Family Vineyard is still a great place, featuring an impressive view, and boasting a broad selection of wine served by a knowledgeable and generous host. It has a welcoming tasting lounge blessed with delicious temptations for one's next picnic. The issue once again is that Meyer Family Vineyard was neither our first winery nor our last on this day. It wasn't even the fiftieth for my girlfriend and me in total. We were up to seventy by this point in the Okanagan alone. And Meyer Family Vineyard is good, worth a visit, but if your time is paramount and limited, it would not be a priority on my list. Meyer followed Nighthawk and would be followed by Synchromesh, both superior wineries. But I won't attempt negativity as the location is still good. We just didn't buy any wine. I did buy crackers. I mean...crackers. That's something. Right? Another comparison would be someone offering me a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup after I finished sucking on a Lindor chocolate with a bowl of those still tempting me. Sure, I love Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, but when there's a bowl of Lindors... ...Unfortunately, I'm also overweight, so I'd find a way to fit in both. Hmm, that's a better comparison. If you like wine and are touring the region, fit in Meyer, and then feel guilty afterwards.
