My ride got stuck in traffic. so I called a couple of taxi companies. They all told me 15 to 30 minutes to get to me. Which with travel time would take too long. I called Norwalk taxi and he told me the driver could be there in 5 minutes. I was skeptical of it but I said yes. I called my appointment and was not even done with the call (in less than 3 minutes the driver was there). I got in the driver was pleasant confirmed destination and we were on our way. Got caught up in traffic on Route 1 (not surprising). He indicated that we going to cut over and go on side roads due to traffic (not surprising for rush hour in Fairfield County). I suggested we make a different right turn. He thanked me and said I lived here so I knew better. And we were on our way. The taxi had a meter which made me feel like I wasn't being ripped off and other taxi companies gave a similar price when I called. I must say taxi prices are not cheap, but I haven't taken a taxi in about 30 years. I arrived to my destination on time, safe, and not stressed. The driver was calm, polite and professional with his driving. He didn't cut anyone off. Stopped at the yellow light instead of of flooring the gas to rush through the light. Didn't react when a school bus did not stop at a stop sign. I did and he explained that people run stop signs all the time and it doesn't impact our time ( and it didn't-we ended up right behind the school bus). Upon arrival to my destination I paid the driver, gave a 20% tip, he gave me my change and I disembarked. The driver wished me a good day, I did the same. I thought this was the end of the interaction and I wasn't going to write a review because I was a fine ride but nothing exceptional. Little did I know that would change. By the time my procedure was done my ride that was stuck in traffic had long since arrived. I got ready to leave and realized that my keys were missing. We checked the hospital (and they were no where to be found). So as a long shot I called the taxi company and yes the driver had my keys (huge key ring on a carabiner So I don't lose my keys- see how well that worked -need larger key ring). The driver was at the train station on the way home. I told the dispatcher that we would get them on our way home. He suggested I call to see where driver when near station. I called a while later as we approached the station. The dispatcher told me to go home the driver left my keys at many front door. I thanked him. Got a home a few minutes later and my huge key chain with keys remote and carabiner was attached to the knob on my front door. I don't even need to bend down. Way above and beyond. If I ever need a taxi again I wouldn't think twice about calling Norwalk Taxi. Honest and conscientious. Thank you for a job well done and for taking care of me this morning.

I gave it another 5 minutes thinking maybe traffic took them a bit longer, but then it got to 20 minutes or so from the 1st call. When I called the person on the phone couldn't give a valid excuse other than the driver took longer than expected, and I ended up getting to work almost 15 minutes late, despite calling almost an hour in advance. In a sec they told me how many cars in my area, the closest one, how many minutes away. Photo, Name, license plate, color & model of car! I used it three times. No money exchanged hands, everything is done with your account. As long as you have your phone your all set to go!!!! Uber drivers take you anywhere ( nothing is too far & return you later) including NJ, PA... No cab driver moaning about how many fares he'll lose. I am a New Yorker at heart. I know my way around the city very well. Unfortunately there is always construction going on, but I know where I'm going.

The least expensive Uber was $136.00 and the prices went up according to vehicle. That is "quadruple" what I paid two days earlier. This fee is/was, nothing but a scam and a ripoff. Totally taking advantage of weary travelers who want to get home. I would not pay the fee. I did not book an Uber. I took a taxi for $77.00 which is also expensive - but I had little choice, I paid. I will find other alternatives in the future, like hiring a neighbor.

Several incompetent drivers cut him off because THEY waited to the last moment to merge into the right traveling lane. With his excellent driving skills the rest of the passengers never even knew what was happening. His use of the GPS rerouted us a few times to avoid traffic jams that could be seen extending off to the horizon; getting us to and from the casino on time. There were even entertainment on the bus, enhancing the ride. And the bathroom was clean and smelled pleasant.
