The workers were thorough and very polite and cleaned up all the shingles and other materials that they had to throw on the ground. When his team came out, they left a huge mess after the job was done, and every time the temperature changed for the next five years, pieces of siding would fall off the house. Charlie said it was no longer his responsibility. When I threatened a bad review, he came back out with the original team. The installer took me aside and said he had no experience installing siding, but Charlie had told him he would figure it out. After 8 1/2 years of warping and loose panels, I called another siding contractor. They pointed out gaps in the corners, and said the siding was cut too short to cover normal expansion and contraction. I am now replacing my siding one wall at a time, less than a decade after having new siding installed. Charlie does not seem to care about doing a quality job. So far, we're out $2,400 and are looking at a good $12,000 more. We should have sued.

With all the rain this season I knew things would continue to worsen and I assumed it was a problem with the flashing. I contacted my insurance agent for a referral and he recommended KC Roofing & Restoration Solutions. This company was more than accommodating and promptly visited Mom's home to review the situation. The hard truth was that the company that had put the existing roof in place had used the incorrect flashing and it had pulled away. The flashing was not meant to be used on masonry. Charles was great to work with and explained what needed to be done with a quick turnaround on the estimate. He answered all my questions and now that the work is completed I am more than happy. During the process today, Charles provided me with photos of the different stages of the work - even found a good match for the existing roofing shingles and used waterproof membrane (like an honest roofer should!) before replacing the shingles and finishing with lead flashing (which is what should have been used previously). Oh, and I also had them replace the chimney "cap" as it was also contributing to the leaking issues. Highly recommend - did not want to have a mold remediation sometime down the road! Great value and peace of mind!

The carpenters that showed up did a fantastic job but if John shows up as your contractor I suggest you look somewhere else for your remodeling needs. This was for a small project as a test run for a bigger project we are planning on doing. All I can say at this point is there's no way we would work with them again.
