Whenever I crave Chinese food, this is the only restaurant I think of. Never disappoint best in town

THIS HAPPENED AT THE NEW LOCATION ON MAIN ST - 1247 MAIN ST…read moreE ....................... Ordered food and ended up with a disappointing fiasco. Contacting the restaurant was a little difficult but I eventually was able to get a hold of somebody. Despite that the ordering process went smoothly. Delivery was very delayed. I contacted the restuarant to see what the status was on my order. The person at the front desk stated that delivery person came to my place of residence and called upon arrival. I confirmed that I didn't recieve the phone call or any missed calls. Turned out the phone number was incorrect even though I confirmed my number when ordering several times. human error, I get it. No big deal. I was then asked if I still wanted the meal. I stated yes due to having guests over that evening. They confirmed that the order would be redelivered. The transaction went fine and the delivery guy was tipped, as always. Turned out the guy I was speaking to was the delivery driver. I thought nothing of it. Maybe the delivery guy was elsewhere and couldn't get it out fast enough. Moving along, I opened the containers and the food was burned. So much for being patient. I called the restaurant to see if the matter could be resolved. The " delivery guy " picked up. I recognized the voice. I told him about the mishap with the order. He then proceeded to tell me that he knew the food was subpar but it could possibly still be edible. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Who knowingly sends out defective food???? I stated that I wanted a full refund. He then started to whine about it and stated that he would give it to me tommorow. I've never heard of such a thing when it came to restaurants and refunds. Any refund I recieved from such establishment was recieved the same day. He was very close by but kept giving me excuses. Eventually he agreed to give me a FULL REFUND in CASH that same night and to meet him outside in a few minutes. Okay, done. He called me and told me that he was downstairs. I met up with him, thanked him for coming out to give me a full refund. He then proceeded to interrogate me and tell me that I was only getting money back for 1 item. I told him that he was breaking the agreement of the full refund as promised during our phone conversation. He proceeded to confront me and tell me that I wasn't getting my money back and sped off. I called the number that he originally called me from. He then proceeded to verbally assault and berate me in a horrible manner. He even called me back from a private number after I hung up him the first time. He continued to disrespect and insult me even to the point of stereotyping typing and making racist comments towards my skin colour and financial status, despite he also being a person of colour. He refused to give me the full refund despite agreeing to it and demanded that I return the food the next business day to get a full refund. I've never heard of such a thing.Honestly, as a loyal customer with all of the previous owners up until now. I can truly say that this had been the most dreadful, racist, discriminating and deceptive experience that I have ever had with a restaurant. It is highly disappointing to permanently end my business with them, it used to be such a nice restaurant. It is a shame that it has now become below unsatisfactory due to the ignorance, dishonesty and disrespect displayed by the " delivery guy ". Treat your customers better or move along. Be well.

There was NO CONCERN regarding…read morefollowing COVID 19 safety protocols-- I was actually treated incredibly rudley when asking the driver to follow them. Despite that, the delivery charge was raised astronomically (5 times what they claim). If that's how they handle a delivery, how can you trust the food handling (it's in the garbage outside our house). When I called to address this, the individual that answered was incredibly rude and told me to call lawyer. My response was that I'll let people know via the internet because it's not acceptable, so I'm letting you know: DON'T ORDER FROM HERE!
