The waitress/Bartender that we had was very rude and incompetent. We tried flagging her down multiple times but she was too focused on gossiping with her coworkers, checking her phone, and rolling her eyes any time we tried getting more drinks. I only wish I would have gotten her last name. We did speak to a manager, but we doubt that anything was done. If that's how they allow their employees to treat paying customers, I'll happily take my business elsewhere. read more

Went to the mall to Christmas shop. We stopped here at around 6pm and the restaurant was pretty empty, although there were a few people eating outside. We asked for a table for four. We were greeted with "do you have a reservation?" Of course we did not as we were transient. So, we were told that it's season and we would need a reservation. We asked about all the empty tables and were told we would need a reservation. We were turned away! Thanks for all the hospitality guys. I would never go there again even if the food was the best in the world. Sadly, for them, we are full time residents in Naples, and, if treated fairly, could have been regular guests. I generally haven't been too impressed with the restaurants around here but this place was solid and a good value for the money, especially compared to the huge numbers of mediocre, overpriced places nearby. We decide on this place for my wife's birthday dinner after a movie. To get there we walked past some pretty swanky bistros, resturants and a Ruths Chris steakhouse to get here. And it was the best return on that walk investment. No reservation, was able to sit in 5 minutes (monday at 6:30 ) I've seen better, but decent selection of beer. Wife had a pinot that was very good. Large wine selection. I saw the fish and chips go by it looked good. Wife had the chicken. Food was outstanding. Triple chocolate cake was spectacular. Service was great. We're not big birthday celebration people, but when my wife wanted just a half glass more to go with the cake, she let it out. Within a minute, two glasses of champaign were on the table, the half glass of wine followed. Several other servers leaned in and wished her a happy day. All very subtle, but appreciated. When we arrived within the early time period, we were asked, "Do you have reservations?" We replied, "No."and two hostesses stated ( in a rude and unconcerned voice) "Sorry about that."' Had lunch March 25th, ordered Red Rock wine and a sandwich. The sandwich was ok but the wine was served warm. Not room temp but actually warm. Finally flag the server who said its due to where they store the wine. AND he hears that complaint often. He went on to say "tell the owners "I know it's a cheap house wine but warm? We were not offered another class. Server said he'd get us ice. REALLY? Not the place I'd recommend to anyone. They have a great sounding deal, 2 dinners and a bottle of wine for $30, but won't chance it. read more

My girlfriend and I recently visited South Fork Grille. I had found it on Yelp while searching for a new local spot for dinner. We arrived around 730 and were seated right away. After we were seated, we saw a number of waitresses moving around the dining room but none of them came over to greet us or take our drink order. We waited for over 5-6 minutes until Jessica took it upon herself to come over to our table, greet us and ask if we were being helped even though we were not in her section. Jessica became our waitress, saved the day and our experience. She even made our drinks herself and they were fantastic! We ordered the Ahi Tuna Duo for an app and we were very impressed. For dinner, I ordered the braised short ribs and my girlfriend had the fisherman stew special. The food was AMAZING!! Absolutely perfect! We were starving and had a great experience the previous day at SFG. Unfortunately we went w/I an hour of closing tonight and had a less than subpar experience. The bartender told us to make a decision quickly because the kitchen was tired. We ordered within 5 min, the food came out 10 min later: fries - undercooked and were $5 for a measly side portion, salad: drenched in dressing and container Parmesan, pasta was ok. Bartender was less attentive of us throughout our stay as we both would've liked another glass of wine but decided not to based on his actions. We will stick to Happy Hour visits next time we're in the area if we decide to dine here again as we will definitely think twice about dining here. It's a shame as the previous day, the waiter was very attentive even though he was waiting on numerous tables, knowledgable and personable. Two stars is generous as we're definitely influenced on the day before's experience. read more

Christmas dinner here is a new-ish tradition for our family. The service is always great and this trip was no exception. My dad and I ordered the prime rib medium and it was perfect. My mom always orders the salmon - she can't get enough. My parents' Manhattans were made with too much vermouth which is weird; they chose not to send them back. I had a split of sparkling wine and enjoyed it very much. For dessert we ordered peach bread pudding a la mode and three spoons. Yum. I notice the bar is always lively and you can order dinner there; if I ever came with only one other person I'd enjoy that. read more

Food was good but overpriced, and I have no problems paying a lot of money for food as long as it's worth it. Atmosphere coastal sheik, and service was outstanding. Paid $12 for a martini that was basically a very large scoop of sherbet with what appeared to be one ounce of prosecco poured on top. Stopped by the Southfork Grille based on some yelp reviews and it didn't disappoint. My family and I were visiting Fort Myers and opted to stay in nearby Estero and boy were we pleasantly surprised. This place is nestled in Coconut Point, an impressive outdoor shopping center that looks more like upscale Spanish villas than stores! We made a reservation but we didn't need to, although the interior was full, the outdoor patio was empty. We opted for indoors when we made our reservation but found out the entertainment would be on the patio. The hostess informed us we could move to the patio but we opted to stay inside for our meals. Our waitress (Jessie) was extremely personable and boy did she hustle! There are not many tables inside but it seemed she was the only waitress on! My mom and I ordered Pinto Grigio and it was crisp and refreshing! The watermelon salad was perfection! I could eat it all day, my mom felt the balsamic dressing was too sweet but I loved it! Our entrees were delicious but a little expensive I thought. We opted to enjoy the entertainment on the patio once they set up and our waitress let us pick a table outside and she continually checked on us throughout the night which was appreciated. read more

After reading reviews and the happy hour menu we went here. Thanks for the tips. The happy hour menu is very cheap - the portions are small but there were just two of us, so the tastes were adequate. The crab cakes were great. Then for our entrees I had the sautéed scallops after reading another review and they were great! My husband had the lamb ragout and loved it too. Even the house wine was good. We were seated in the bar which was noisy, but it calmed down after happy hour was over. I'd definitely recommend it. read more

Read a number of reviews and decided this was a place for us...we wanted good food at a sit down restaurant on a Friday evening. We got it! I had Gnocchi Braised Beef, wife had Chicken Pappardelle which we shared. Both were delicious. Servings were just right size for us. We had plenty and didn't need doggy bag or waste food. Also had Happy Hour Baked Brie appetizer which was delicious. We ordered two entrées before 5:45 and got bottle of wine (two bottle choices or other selections) for $30, so we feel we got a good value as well. There are not pages and pages of selections, but very good choices of fish, chicken, beef, pasta, BBQ, etc. plus appetizers. Service was very good and helpful with choices (thanks Angela). I think ambiance would be called industrial chic in pleasant layout with outdoor seating as well. Yes, it's a bit noisy inside, but you can talk and listen easily around your table. Reading other comments about service, we found it to be very good. It was starting to get busy and the spread out layout might be less efficient than neat rows of booths, but that would take away from the charm of South Fork Grille. Besides, if you want fast food go to McDonalds. This is a great little restaurant with excellent food. The full seats and steady flow of customers speaks for itself. read more

I was in Bonita Springs for vacation so I relied on the yelp reviews for this place. Boy, were they misleading. First, the place appears to be clean and well kept. This is a facade. As soon as we ordered our food, we were SWARMED with fruit flies. I should mention that we sat inside, not outside. A woman, who I can only assume was the manager, casually mentioned to us that she doesn't know how to get rid of them. One, this shows me that you are well aware of this problem. Two, you get rid of them the way you do any infestation. Clean your bar, clean your kitchen, then call an exterminator. On the plus side, the food was mediocre. The mussels were tiny and overcooked (yet somehow some of the shells remain closed). The salad was plain and overdressed. If this is the best Bonita Springs has to offer, I'm glad I don't live here. The only shining moment was the extremely helpful bartender who doubled as our sever. No surprise that there were no actual servers present since we were the only patrons. read more

I thought the food was fair to good. The service was attentive. What creeped me out, though, was the filth. The fabric chairs are sticky and food stained. The exposed air ducts are laden with thick layers of dust and patched with tin foil insulation. The floors are gritty and hairy around the edges. The walls are fingerprinted, dinged up, and splattered. The single stall ladies room was dirty, wet, smelly, and mounded with paper hand towel litter. Lastly, the employees tended to stand around in small groups and complain. Solution: clean the place ceiling to floor, recover or paint chair fabric, clean and paint walls, wipe down and pick up bathrooms every half hour, and give the employees a pep talk. read more

We (three) stopped for dinner after the movies. Wanted to eat outside but no tables were available, even though we had a reservation, so we sat inside across from the bar and the sports screens. It was noisy and people passed by our table constantly. The only other choice of table we were offered was a high-top in a more secluded area, which I cannot do because of recent surgery. Our waiter arrived promptly and with a pleasant attitude. We were excited to order from the night's specials, however, none of the specials were available (sold out). We picked alternatives from the regular menu and the food was good, but the disappointment of not being able to get our first choices clouded our impressions. The food arrived promptly and at appropriate temperatures. The waiter paid attention throughout, poured water, brought drinks, etc. Overall our experience was good, but clouded by the twin disappointments of not being able to sit where we wished and being denied our first choice of entrees. They are trying though, and I would give them another chance to rise above the merely "good enough". read more

Our party of 4 had dinner on 8/25/17, I've had dinner here twice before and it was acceptable, this particular dinner was a disaster on all points. Service was slow for starters and the crowd was sparse. I ordered a bottle of wine Belle Glos Pinot Noir as advertised on their wine list and the server brought us a Meiomi. After pointing out the difference to the server she said they get a lot of complaints about the misprint and tried to convince us the two wines were basically interchangeable and come from the same wine maker....Wrong! I get the check and notice an "up charge" for $4.00. I inquired with the server and she acknowledged again that people often complain about the separate charge. The server proceeds to tell me that it's very common in all the restaurants around here and it applies to the martinis. So instead of charging $10.00/ martini they charge $8.00 and add an extra $2.00 through "up charge". Finally another abnormality appears on the check; two members of the group ordered Kettle One, club soda and Lemon however one was ordered with a splash of cranberry as well......you guessed it, a $.25 charge for the splash of cranberry. I requested the manager and Scott came to the table to tell us he had no control over anything and was sorry. read more

Had New Year's Eve dinner there with my wife and ten guests. We had an 8:30 reservation, but were only given 2 menus for table of 12 and two small plates of bread that would normally be for a table of four. They were out of clean glasses, so the teenagers had to wait for over 25 minutes before even getting a glass of water---they were clearly not prepared for the night, but continued taking reservations anyway. The menu only offered the $85 four course New Year's Eve dinner special, which we were aware of. The first course and second course were very good as was the dessrt. The kids were all excited for the steak and lobster special and that is what 8 of us chose. This course did not come for nearly an hour after the second course was served and my wife immediately saw her lobster was very rare so she sent it back and it came back overcooked. Our guest next to my wife also had under-cooked lobster, but ate it anyway and had raw purple steak which he sent back as well. They gave him back an entirely different piece of meat that was not a filet--which tasted terrible. We were in the wine room area and it was very noisy--because we were at the end of table we did not find out until after that virtually everyone who ordered the steak got it back near raw as well as the lobster. Hardly anyone ate their meal and it was taken away by the busboys before we were alerted, as all of the steak tasted terrible and no one wanted to say something to me because i was paying the bill. The waitress was very nice and acknowledged that there were lots of issues as all the plates were picked up with full pieces of meat, and told me she would have the manager stop by. Once again we waited and waited and now it was after 11pm and nearing midnight so i asked again to see the manager who finally came but said there was nothing they could do because they should have been given the opportunity to recook all 8 meals. My point to her was that serving 8 entrees all under-cooked that were specifically part of the special on top of hours of waiting was a bit on the ridiculous side. She finally got the owner who had the same indignant attitude and essentially put it all on us. I paid the waitress $200 cash tip because i felt bad for her having to put up with the owner and paid the bill because we had less than 1/2 hour to get to our home to celebrate New Year's which was always the plan and I wanted out of that restaurant. I was asking for an acknowledgement of some blatant issues and possibly a 10%-20% discount for the 3 hours of BS, but the owner chose to put all the blame on our table for not sending everything back. Will not be back there--mainly because of owner attitude. read more

Decided to try South Fork after reading positive Yelp reviews. Came away a bit disappointed. I enjoy a martini before dinner but found out that they only serve beer and wine. No problem but would have been nice to know ahead of time. Was most excited to try the lobster bisque. It was ok flavor wise but very thick like a porridge leading me to believe it was from a can. Caesar salad came out at room temperature. Sent it back only to have the next one served on a cold plate but the salad was still room temp. Waiter said he would talk to the chef on how to correct the problem. Duh...how about keeping the salads refrigerated before serving?? In fairness the Seared Scallops were delicious and cooked to perfection, unfortunately the risotto accompanying them was undercooked and chewy. The filet was also perfectly cooked but lacked any kind of seasoning. Probably won't go back again...too many other places to choose in the area. read more

Really embarrassing evening. It was our pick for an evening out with friends. We were seated after a short wait for our reservation. OK its season. We ordered a glass of wine and three mixed drinks from the bar. Our server returned telling us they were out of all three drinks we ordered Chivas, Canadian Club and Crown Royal are not unusual drinks pretty much bar staples. She tells us oh well its not the end of the world. No but it should have been the end of our night there. We ordered three more wines and she left. It was decided wee should have just gotten a bottle so my husband went to find our server. She was busy at the station telling other servers about what a bad table she had just because they were out of liquor. She was nasty all night. First how are you out of that much liquor maybe a trip to the store before dinner hour would have paid off. Two a little pleasant service would go a long way towards making up for bad management. You can probably get away with this during the season when it is this busy. Good luck when you need return customers like us that kept you going during the off season. Won't be back! read more

Have dined at SFG several times previously and had family in town that we thought would enjoy eating there. We arrived and were seated right away. Drinks took 15 minutes to arrive and we were told that the kitchen was backed up for 40 minutes. We ordered right away and had our drinks. Bread arrived 20 minutes in and the appetizers arrived 35 minutes later. The burrata and the yellow fin were both delicious but the wait far too long. That however was just a precursor however to the wait for dinner which did not arrive for another 50 minutes. Three of four plates arrived together. The gnocchi and the filet were great but the seafood risotto speacila was like warm at beat. The fourth entree - a/NY strip steak arrived almost 10 minutes later and was a filet not a strip steak. The waiter brought the dish and exclaimed "just so you know, that is not a strip steak we ran out of them". There was no prior notice or opportunity to order something different but worse, the steak was prepared rare when the strip has been order medium. As a result half the steak was left on the plate as the cooked areas were eaten and the rare center left. Along with the steak, half the risotto was also left. When the plates wre cleared both things wre pointed out to which the server replied "Sorry the kitchen was not up to par thia evening. The last 5 tables I had complained as well.". The bill was presented complete with orders of soup that had never arrived - which had been pointed out when the first entrees arrived. No adjustments made. While we were offered dessert and coffee it was l already 2.5/hours into the event. We took three coffees and a piece of pie to share. Overall a very disappointing evening. read more
