I heartily recommend Duncan Czamanske at South End Realty Group. I walked into Duncan's office at 5:30 p.m. on a Wed afternoon, and he graciously made time for me and gave me a snap shot of the Boston market he handles. I was with my daughter, and we had just flown in from Portland Oregon. We were looking for a summer sublet and were not familiar with Boston. Duncan gave us great advice about where to focus our search and said he might have a unit coming available that could work for us. Fast forward four days, Duncan met us on a Sunday morning to show us a unit and it was perfect! After our tour I headed to the airport to for my flight back to the west coast and filled out the application while I waited at the gate. Duncan made the whole process easy, and I felt very well taken care of. On top of that, he's a nice guy with a good sense of humor. You will enjoy working with him! read more

I had a wonderful and efficient experience with SERG. Mary Baghough was extremely knowledgeable and helped me with the process of getting my apartment every step of the way! read more

Mary Baghough was very professional, helpful, and quick to respond. She helped me find an apartment in a crowded market and worked along with me to guide me through the application process. I highly recommend working with her. read more

Tried to set up a showing for an apartment with them through zillow but they never responded to my email. Called the office and managed to set up an appointment with a realtor named Lauren who said she would meet me at the apartment at 5pm and gave me her number in case i needed to contact her. She never showed up and did not answer any of my calls. It seems like they don't care about rentals. read more

I had a fantastic experience working with Charlie Curran. He answered the million questions I had with patience, respect, and accuracy. I couldn't have asked for a better experience and ended up with an apartment I really love. When I got locked out on my first night (ugh), he came to my rescue and words don't express how much I appreciated it. He really went the extra mile and I would recommend him, and SERG any day. read more

I have had a relationship with SERG for many years. They are an excellent group, professional and quite good at all aspects of rentals. It has always been a pleasure to work with Duncan Czamanske, he has helped me on innumerable occasions on a very wide variety of issues. I couldn't give Duncan and SERG a higher recommendation. read more

Mary baghough Was amazing to work with so professional punctual and polite. Being an agent myself with Rise Realty I feel that it is extremely important to acknowledge greatness. Mary was a delight to work with and I hope I can do many more deals with her! She is amazing!! read more

We spoke with Tim about potential rental opportunities. He seemed friendly and gave us his card and asked us to email him. After a couple rounds of email inquiries and phone calls, he never responded. We ended up working with other options but all of them responded to our emails and phone calls. This type of behavior is not how to do business in South End. read more

It was a pleasure working with Duncan Czamanske. I am new to the area and he helped me find a great apartment within my budget and in the exact location I was looking for. He made the whole process so easy and seamless! read more

No regard for their clients or personal needs. They'll take your money as quickly as they can grab it.

I had a great experience with Jacob M. from South End Realty Group! He was responsive, friendly, and went the extra mile to help me secure an apartment from 1,000 miles away. I would recommend him if you're in the market for an apartment in the South End! read more

I use South End Realty Group exclusively to handle all my rental estate business both rental and buying/selling. Lisa Gilman is one of their top agents and has worked with me for over 10 years and has NEVER failed me. She did a great job marketing and selling a difficult property for me in 2016. read more

When you pay upwards of $1500 for a brokers fee you want to be paying someone who is worth your time and money, someone who is honest, knowledgeable, and competent. Brian Clark of south end realty group is NOT this someone. Can't speak for any other brokers here, but do yourself a favor and work with anyone but Brian Clark. read more

Can you give less than one star? Gotta love an agency that says a place is yours and to get the application to them in the morning, but by the time you do that it has been rented to someone else. Thanks for nothing and lying. What happened to integrity? Oh yeah...we're dealing with a rental agency that clearly is a front for slumlords. read more

I can't speak for SERG in general but Brian Clark is an incompetant realtor. He made several clerical errors on my lease and then blamed me for them and yelled at me about it. He then lied to me about information on my rental agreement and threatened me with debt collectors. After yelling at me, lying to me, and threatening me he then told me that he will not take any responsibility for the problem. Also, did I mention that I paid him almost $2000. to show me an apartment once and write a correct lease? I just don't want this ti happen to anyone else--i'm not saying don't work with SERG, just stay away from their incompetent realtors. read more

Went in their office, girl was friendly and the guy was an asshole. Was looking to rent a parking space, was informed of an available spot close to my condo, when I called a few minutes after leaving to express my interest, the girl told me it was no longer available. A few days later, I see that it was posted on craigslist by someone else and when I called the guy said it was still available! I suggest that you put a sign that states Hispanics are not allowed to rent!!!!! Racist. read more

Knowledgeable firm. Tim Anastasia over there is a good communicator and was very helpful listing my property on the market. We had a few issues with one of their agents who actually walked through an active construction site causing some damage, but Tim called me immediately, and sent me a check for the damage. I have to say I appreciated his willingness to help out, and his sense of urgency when we had some issues. read more

Brian Clark at South End Realty Group helped me to find and secure an apartment that met my budget and location requirements. He was friendly, responsive, and very helpful in guiding me through the ins and outs of Boston rentals. I would recommend him to others looking in the South End/Fenway area. read more

If you are inquiring about any listing make sure to stay away from Lisa Gilman. I dealt with her for three weeks and have never experienced the disrespect and immaturity from a working professional. Lisa made constant errors including the name of the landlords on the lease, which was a fight with her because she felt as though she was always right before ever checking with another colleague. She somehow always had an answer (an incorrect answer) to everything and did not take the time to check with the listing landlord about constant questions I had before signing the lease. I received phone calls as late as midnight sometimes and text messages complaining as well as messages to me meant for a significant other (extremely careless and unprofessional) where she claimed it showed how hardworking she was even though she was calling me to rant to me for thirty minutes. An absolute nightmare dealing with her, I cannot even begin to describe to the end of the annoyance and deep frustration we experienced. I am appalled that myself and the other tenant were both actually charged $1000 for her to make countless mistakes (daily) that could be avoided if she took the time to look over paperwork, lease terms, and information on the property. 0/10 To the comment towards my review, no one was living on the west coast... both landlords live in a 5 mile radius. Nice work, clearly It is a tendency of you agency to pull random information to make anything seem adequate. Ironic that two beneficial reviews were posted after mine. read more

I worked with Lisa Gilman to find my Brighton apartment and she was more than helpful! She was responsive, attentive and she knew what I was looking for. I recommend everyone to work with her! read more

Very nice staff and services, professional and dedicated, knows well the South End neighborhood.

I had a really great experience with South End Realty. Lauren Grant is an amazing realtor, and she made the entire process so easy! Definitely ask for her if you can. She was extremely friendly, funny, and professional - in the past, I've felt pressured and uncomfortable with Boston realtors, but this entire experience was different. She was always so polite and knowledgable! In less than two weeks, she found a beautiful apartment and helped me through all of the paperwork/lease signing. I'll be moving in July! South End Realty just seems like an all around good business - accurate property photos, upfront about all the costs, and VERY fast with communication. 100% recommended for anyone seeking a place to live in Boston - thank you!! read more

I would not recommend South End Realty Group. My husband and I wanted to look at apartments in the South End, so we reached out to the general contact email. Sarah Harris responded to us in a timely manner and was very energetic about helping us out with our search. So we book a meeting for 10am on Sunday and plan to meet at their offices to start the search and look at a few properties. On Sunday morning, my husband and I get in the car to drive into the city (we don't live close so it's actually quite an inconvenience), and I decide to give Sarah a call to touch base and let her know we will arrive in a few minutes. I look at my email to pull up her number, and I find that she emailed me at 9:10am, telling me that there are actually no properties that fit our description on the market at the moment and that we should push the meeting time back. So, she emailed us less than 1 hour before the appointment to cancel and on top of that, she clearly didn't do any research on apartments prior to the morning of our appointment. At minimum, the least she could have done was pick up the phone and stop us before coming into the city. We thought this was extremely unprofessional and honestly, a waste of our morning. We will not be using South End Realty Group in the future and made it very clear to Sarah that we were upset. Instead of an apology or anything in response, we received silence. Do yourself a favor, use anyone else but South End Realty Group to find a place to live. read more

When my now-husband was looking for an apartment several years ago, Lisa Gilman helped he and his roommates find their apartment. He had such a great experience that he went personally to Lisa to find our newlywed apartment. Lisa listened to our wants/needs, understood our budget, and immediately found us a place to call home. Thank you for making the process smooth and painless during an otherwise stressful time in our lives! read more

I worked with Lisa G. to find a new apartment. She was super responsive, friendly, and helped me find a great spot right away! The whole process didn't take more than a couple weeks. She killed it. Next time I move, I'll be giving her a call again : ) Thanks, Lisa!!! read more

I will never use this group again!! The realtor got back to me when it was convenient for her, if she got back to me at all. After I signed the application and she had my money she was never around! She never followed through with anything until I called her over and over again! Never mind the fact that the apart I am in is horrible! I agree with the other review and if I could give less than one star I would! read more

Thank you Cian from South End Realty! South End Realty saved what was otherwise a TOTALLY HORRIBLE interaction with BLACKSTONE WILLIAMS realty. I was using Blackstone Williams to look at a unit that was actually being leased by South End Realty. Blackstone was terrible to interact with and claimed I couldn't get any of my deposits back, but South End very kindly listened and returned my money, no issue. I even requested they return the money without involving Blackstone and they respected that. While I did not lease with them this time, I will absolutely be reaching out to Cian to help with my next move. Trustworthy! read more

I used them to sell my house as well as buy my new house. Tim was great throughout the entire proccess. The house we sold had some issues so he brought in a contractor to address them. He also took care of the staging when it came time to show it. We have 2 kids so our place was a bit of a disaster. Finding our new home took a lot longer than selling ours but we found our dream home and never plan on moving again. Tim was great and he was very concious of our wants and needs for our new house and got us everything we wanted and more read more
