While Lighthouse is our property management company, they also have specialty teams that can undertake projects without the hassle of vendor bidding, supervision, and their schedule has been pretty flexible. Their masonry team recently undertook a back patio project where the bricks were crumbling due to tunneling below, and the team redid the patio with an emphasis on rodent-proofing with chicken wire to prevent future issues. This is a sham of a management company. Complaints seem to be endlessly shuffled around with plenty of lip service and no follow-through. Nothing actually gets resolved. You'll receive emails promising action, but that's where it ends. Hands down the worst kind of service read more

My condo association was previously managed by Lighthouse and now that the relationship is over I finally feel I can post this without retaliation. My experience with this company is consistent with the worst reviews I've seen here and on Google. In my opinion, they were completely disorganized and unprofessional. People hire management companies for peace of mind, where Lighthouse only caused me more stress. I received the bare minimum, if that, of what I would expect from a management company. Stay far away from this company, there is a reason the reviews are this bad. read more

stay away... we recently switched to a different property management company and should have a long time ago. our experience was very similar to the other one star reviews, i'll just add some specifics to the overall general complaints of the other reviews. these are not our only gripes. communication was slow and erratic. projects / tasks would take years to complete after emailing over and over again to find out what the holdup is. they addressed extensive trim rot which ended up doubling in price in the end, and missed / ignored several large and obviously rotten pieces that we now need to address. several areas that were repaired and repainted by them, started peeling within a year and they wouldn't repaint them. during the work, they accidentally cut into / broke a water pipe which flooded my hallway and warped the flooring. we had a surprise $15k of unpaid elevator bills from last 3 quarters that we weren't aware of or disclosed in the financials. they let our elevator contract auto renew for 5 years without informing us. we would not have renewed if given the opportunity. clearly they are aware of their overwhelmingly bad yelp reviews, and don't seem to be changing the way they operate to avoid continuing to get them. read more

Harrison is rude and arrogant. He does not return calls . When I question him re an issue in our apartment that was looked at that day he shot back arrogantly " do you think I have that information yet" . I replied yes . He said he would call me when he has it. That was six days ago. My suggestion is not to use this company, so unprofessional . read more

If you notice the only positive reviews are from trustees. Harrison claims to provide "excellent" service, but this is self proclaimed without evidence. He is rude to tenants, gaslights them, and speaks over them while being condescending. If you want a management company that does their job, dont call them. It's run by a bunch of inexperienced frat guys in their early 30s. I would prefer a company with more experience and respect towards tenants. read more

Stay away from this property management company. They manage my condo complex - two old mill buildings -and our main heating system was updated in late October. It caused air in the pipes, which caused me to not have heat in my unit. Not all unit were affected. No one was notified of any problems, although they knew there were issues. It took 2 months for it be resolved. Despite frequent emails, once I paid to see if my own heating unit was not working, for a knowledgeable plumber to be called in who resolved the problem in minutes. I was told to be patient! That was from late Oct to late Dec 2022. I sent an email to the owners once it was resolved and have heard nothing. Stay far far away. read more

I would like to give an updated review on my previous review. Harrison, the principal, asked my landlord to tell me to take down my review from yelp because he felt it was "unfair". I believe that it is in my first amendment right to voice my concern that this management company is incompetent (also, come on, are we in grade school?). Lighthouse management have entered my apt without notice on at least two occasions now despite voicing I want to be made aware of when this happens so adjustments can be made in my schedule. Not only is this against MA law that appropriate notice must be given prior to entry, but I find it an invasion of my privacy as well as a detriment to my health with Covid19 cases actively rising in the Boston area. The manager of the building, Nick, has constantly lied about services and is completely unaware of what is going on... as well as being completely nonresponsive. If you try to report Nick to a higher up, which would be Harrison, you basically get told you're wrong. There is no room for improvement when the incompetence begins at the top. read more

Lighthouse has been easy to work with, responsive, and has a great network of professionals that we can rely upon. When I first moved into my condo, I had a number of things that needed to be fixed and Lighthouse sent the right professionals at reasonable prices to get the job done right the first time. Their condo owner web interface is user-friendly and allows me to create and track work requests, review condo documents, submit condo payments, and contact Lighthouse. It has everything that's needed for a condo association. Behind the scenes, they do a lot of work with the board to help run the condo association. My experience so far has revealed that they are reliable, ethical, and take their responsibilities seriously. read more

This management company cuts corners on everything they do, sacrificing customer satisfaction for their own profit. They are either non-responsive or very slow to react when issues arise allowing for minor issues to become major issues. They are relatively a new start up company with minimal experience. This inexperience causes problems that turn into major inconvenience to home owners or renters which often lead to additional expenses that are passed onto us. In many situations they are a lawsuit just waiting to happen. If you can avoid renting of buying into a complex that they service, you will be better off. read more

We were happy with our interactions with Lighthouse property manager, Len Karan. Len has been helpful and very conscientious in every challenge. We've also had some frustrations. One was that LH didn't seem to be managing the janitorial service as we had hoped. We would leave repeated messages about litter in our parking area and cleaning not being done. It seemed like they never addressed, for example, who was responsible for the parking area. We were not very happy with their financial reports (lack of availability, lack of a standard budget variance report). I know they were working on this, and putting a new system in place. I think we were working with Lighthouse at a time when they were trying to grow too fast. As a result, it felt like they forgot at times that it is their current customers who are keeping them in business. If they can stay focused on making customer satisfaction #1--and grow more slowly based on referrals from satisfied customers--I think they can do a good for all their clients. read more

They have now resorted to reporting reviews to Yelp to have them removed. Please note the only good reviews are from board members whose interests Lighthouse serves. For residents who actually need their services, Lighthouse simply ignores requests and bullies them when any complaint is made. Never seen them on our property, aggressive response when the emergency number is called, and shady financial handling. Like another reviewer said, these are a bunch of 30 somethings with no experience or customer service skills. The worst is Harrison Levistky who is a downright entitled bully. Avoid at all costs and get a more ethical company who will actually do the work a management company is supposed to do. read more

Simply put: useless. Condescending, unprofessional, fast-talking, BS types who do next to nothing when it comes to basics like implementing/enforcing basic condo rules and being communicative and fair to all. They will leave your building in more of a mess than it ever was to begin with. There are far better management groups out there. read more

I recommended Lighthouse to my condo association when we needed a new property manager in the South End, having had a good experience with them at a previous building.  Unfortunately their principal, Harrison, has done a terrible job responding to our needs and has time and again prioritized getting his vendors paid over actually making sure they solved the problems at hand.  I very rarely write reviews but Harrison has really gone above and beyond, doing his very best to make things difficult, so here we are.  He manages to be condescending and arrogant even when he is trying to be nice.  He just can't help himself.  There are a lot of much better companies out there, I suggest you use anyone else. read more

Can't recommend Lighthouse enough. Not usually one to leave a review but for anyone seeking property management services Lighthouse is outstanding. We have used them to manage our condo association for years and have found them to be so honest, reliable, and responsive. Their maintenance and construction guys have kept our building looking great and even further, are always just a call away when any questions come up. Terrible company the word "management" is something these people should not be allowed to use. They cannot manage anything! Terrible follow up no care or concern for tenants or the buildings under their care. You would be better off knocking your property down; because after these folks get through with your place, there will be nothing left to worry about having anyone "manage". My experience with Lighthouse have been great so far. I am a trustee at a building that made the switch about 9 months ago. To date, they have cleaned up a 3-year-old mismanaged mess from our prior company and actually moved our association forward in our maintenance goals. Communication is prompt and professional and their maintenance techs are knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. I couldn't recommend this company more. read more

ok I am landlord and own property at oceanview condos. I am glad they took over now. at least we don't h ave to deal with gena or mila. these two trustees cannot be trusted at all. I am greatful that we can contact them whenever someone knock on gena's door or mila they said they would call the police. maybe we will have good managment now since my tenent has an emotional support dog and the trustees have been trying to get me to break the federal law. Now to lighthouse management make sure in the winter the lot is plowed since my tenent is a nurse ok Make sure you stay on top of things and tell gena and mila stop be robocops ok this is america ok read more
