SERVPRO of Huntington Beach - Room after mitigation ready for repairs

SERVPRO of Huntington Beach

Amazing! I would rehire SERVPRO of Huntington Beach again in a minute. Don't hesitate, they are…read moretop-notch professionals and care about doing a good job as much as you do. We had a hoarder renter in our high-end unit. The smells were hard to tolerate; the carpets and walls were a mess (see before pics), and there was mold in the garage due to a leaky pipe. The door handles were missing, as were the closet doors. Holes in the walls, greasy cabinets, walls, and ceilings. The smoke detectors were missing, and nearly everything else was either broken or missing altogether. Once all the junk was removed, we didn't know where to turn. We called SERVPRO of HB (note that not all SERVPROs are equal, so be sure to have the correct office). We met with Eddy, and he immediately calmed us down with his soft-spoken manner and his amazing command of the situation. He knew exactly what to do to move us from panic to calm. Eddy not only knew what to do on the repairs, but he also had a keen sense of style. It was as if he could see the finished product through all the ugly distractions. He provided us with a detailed estimate within a couple of days to bring everything back to a fresh and new-looking state. I must say, we first thought he might be exaggerating. I mean, the place was terrible-looking and smelled, all 2,300 sq. ft. of it. As it turns out, he did everything he promised. In fact, we had never seen the place look so good. The provided pictures do not do justice to the transformation. Everything smelled fresh and looked like a brand new home. Their attention to detail was top-notch, as was their constant updates. They met their three-week goal. By the time they were done, the place was move-in ready. Thank you, SERVPRO, and especially Eddy, who stayed with us the whole way. What an amazing company.

JGB Restoration - JGB Restoration professional water damage service

JGB Restoration

JGB Restoration has been a preferred vendor for the HOAs that I manage. They're responsive, fast,…read moreand thorough - all traits that are super important to my Boards. Cost is fair/comparable, customer service has been highly regarded by the owners (non Board Members, too) within my communities, and they're always there when I've needed them! I've seen discourse about things not being completed to pre-damage conditions and wanted to take a second to advise anyone that lives in an HOA that JGB Restoration does not have any say in what is or isn't the responsibility of the owners. Most Associations have what is called a "Bare Walls Coverage" and owners are encouraged to obtain an HO-6 insurance policy. These are specifically for condo Associations because of the BWC standard requiring condo Associations to only have to repair the drywall to be paint ready, they do not replace or reinstall baseboards/flooring/cabinetry/personal items/etc. Anything after the drywall-to-paint-ready repair is owner responsibility. I strongly recommend directing your comments/questions/concerns to your property management company for any clarifications on what your Association's coverage is for damages and know what the process is to submit a request for the Board to review if you believe you shouldn't be responsible (I.e. reimbursement requests). Management does not make any decisions for the community, the decisions can only come from the Board. Management only enforces the Board's directives and all requests would have to be on the agenda for a duly called meeting. Hope this helps to clarify any confusion! JGB is great to work with and they'll take care of you! They also work with owners and their insurance agents for the owner-responsible repairs, too! It makes the whole process much easier!

I love that they are a family owned operation & it shows. They are sincere & empathetic when your whole world just gets turned upside down from an unexpected disaster. Definitely would recommend this company & would be happy to use them in the future.
