Parking is ok, the spots are assigned and there is visitor parking. Every once in a while someone else would park in my spot, but it only happened a few times. There was some noise from other apartments but it wasn't terrible, about what you'd expect from any apartment. The management was really nice and polite and responded very quickly to our only complaint (broken garbage disposal). Kitchen cabinets and counter tops are a bit outdated. I would definitely recommend this place.

Oak Point offers fantastic amenities. There are three swimming pools, two hot tubs, tennis courts, a basketball gym, fitness center and billiard tables. The social director is top notch. There are plenty of activities, including concerts, dances, comedy shows, karaoke, line dancing and bingo. There are also many clubs, including a classic car club, writing club, garden club, women's club, singles club....and many, many more. Many Oak Point residents volunteer in the community and raise money for local charities and causes. For example, the Oak Point Homeowners Scholarship Association hosts an enormous yard sale every year to raise money for college scholarships for Middleboro HS graduating seniors. The landlord, Hometown America, has been stepping up its game recently. For example, the snow removal and landscaping have improved. There are still some issues, so be sure to hire a home inspector and insist he checks under the home, where some homes have had water and other issues. The monthly fee includes property taxes, trash pickup, landscaping, snow removal, sewage treatment and use of the enormous clubhouse. Oak Point is an excellent value and a wonderful, albeit imperfect, community.

The buildings and the landscaping are both well maintained, and the sidewalks throughout the community resemble peaceful walking paths with plenty of light to make you feel safe at night. Our apartment was spacious, the staff are warm and friendly, and maintenance issues are addressed in a timely manner. We were also lucky enough to have good neighbors with whom we have kept in touch. Of course we were happy to purchase our own home, but it was bittersweet to leave there. I very rarely sit down to write reviews, but this establishment is worthy of my time. His apartments and properties are uninhabitable. Infested with roaches, mice, bedbugs. I didn't have heat for over a YEAR. His secretary doesn't answer the phone. When she did answer the phone she said she was done dealing with me and gave me Ron's number to go through him because things weren't getting done. My celiling almost caved in. Took weeks to get someone to come fix it. My sink was broken and I had to get it fixed myself because no one showed up to fix it. I've been dealing with infestation of mice and roaches since I moved in and Ron hasn't done what he said he would do to make it right. I've had to contact the exterminator myself multiple times and the last time I tried reaching out to Ron about it, he blew me off and told me to figure it out myself. I have never experienced such an awful situation or landlord in all the years I've rented from anyone. Do not rent from this place. The secretary doesn't answer the phone. And when she does, she's as rude as they come. Her name is Linda. Ron and Linda should be sued and should be taken out of business. I'm currently in the middle of getting the health department involved now because Ron refuses to fix things.

I felt I wanted to write my own review, after reading reviews that were written some time ago. The…read more fact that I am starting my 3rd year residing at The Lofts at Wamsutta, I have a perspective that others may not.   A former management (Spring of 2015-Spring of 2016) was less than ideal, but now that that management team has left...most  of the problems that were referenced in previous reviews have been resolved!   The new "team" is on top of all issues, willing to bend over backwards to help the tenants.  All the people who work at the lofts (office, maintenance & security) take pride in their work and the building.  The building is well maintained. They are a great crew! The units are bright, spacious lofts, with high ceilings. There is also ample closet space!  The kitchen & bathroom(s) are well appointed.  They participate in a recycling program.  There are flat beds and carts for the residents to use if they need to transport personal items. There is a good mail and package delivery system.  The Standard times subscribers can have their paper. delivered right to your door! The east side of the building has beautiful sunrises and the west side has beautiful sunsets. The residents (my neighbors) are friendly yet not intrusive.  They are respectful of each other's property/belongings, in essence....good neighbors!   I feel safe & secure. Although the building is not located in the prettiest of areas (it is in an industrial area,) it does have a certain charm....I can sense the history.  I have never had an uncomfortable feeling walking in the neighborhood.  If I want to go for a long walk, I take a short drive to Buttonwood Park.   www.buttonwoodpark.org As for "the negatives"....sound does travel up and down (not side to side)....but most residents are well aware of this, and are respectful...for it's a win/win for all that way. Seeing that this is a pet friendly building, if you don't like dogs, it may not be the best place for you.  The pet owners are very respectful and sensitive that not everyone is going to love their dog.....& keep them well restrained.  Acorn Management has two other former factory conversions in New Bedford that have no pet policy.  They are Riverbank Lofts and Victoria Riverside.  That may be a better option for you. As you can see, the positives greatly outweigh the negatives!   If you are curious, I recommend you come see them for yourself!
