Property management was easy to deal with but then again was never late on rent and only had to have maintenance come to the apartment once. The walls are thin so be ready to hear everything all your neighbors are doing on. Doesn't matter if they are across the hall, right next to you, or live above you; you'll hear them like they are screaming in your living room. Also, be prepared for your neighbors to just buzz anyone in without checking to see who it is, even though property management had a no soliciting policy and sign always got door to door sales people peddling a scam. Plus while I was there, there was a home invasion, the perps got in because they rung each apartment in the building until someone buzzed them in without checking. Not the managements fault they put the security measure in place and people are just too lazy to use it properly. Get a PO box if you have mail larger than an envelope coming to you. Postman will leave anything that doesn't fit in the tiny mailboxes out in the lobby, had a few packages stolen from the lobby and from my front door, until I got my PO set up. Again, not managements problem not like they can tell a thief from a credit check. Though if asked office staff will hold packages at the office for you until you pick them up which they don't have to do but is helpful. Plenty of washers and dryers to use except when someone decides to hog them all for the day, usually someone with their whole family and extended family crammed into a 3 bedroom apartment. When I was there management would put a stop to it, if something was said but there was a laundry mat down the street and was cheaper to use. Really just your typical apartment living rants but enough to mention. When I moved out got all my security deposit back, which was great. All in all the staff was helpful and nice, probably would have stayed if the rent hadn't kept going up.

Instead of fixing leaks and water damage correctly, they simply paint over problems and call it "repaired," which is disturbing and unsafe. The landlord and management are extremely rude, condescending, and retaliatory when tenants raise concerns. There were multiple attempts at intimidation rather than resolving legitimate maintenance and health issues. The rent prices are outrageous considering how outdated and poorly maintained these apartments are. Be very cautious before renting from King Philip Realty Trust. If you are currently renting here and experiencing similar issues, contact the Board of Health and file a complaint. Tenants deserve safe and habitable living conditions.

He comes back again to say he needs a part, assuming he knew this the first time and would need to order a part but took the lazy way out. This has been three months. My utensil drawer is broken. I'm told I have too many utensils. This is the second visit for that after he fixed it to find it moved side to side. The counters are falling apart, hot water was on and off for a bit with no notice what happened, water is so corrosive the bathroom is constantly leaking. The faucets are corroding. The one building had the hot water heater blow. Neighbors woke up to ankle deep water. Rumor has it the floors being put down are not being done correctly. Some buildings are simply falling apart. No communication is provided. Coin laundry in some buildings that I've also heard sometimes doesn't work so you spend more hoping the washer drains or spend more on drying. But they make sure to cash your check! Two weeks late at times. Some units might be nice but some are awful. Great location, rent hasn't changed but it's clear why, and close to everything you need.

Want the screen replaced on your slider because there wasn't one when you moved in? Say you're missing a tool despite the fact the complex is literally across the street from a Home Depot. Promised a closet door because your unit is just missing one? That'll never get resolved don't try to mention it ever again it'll be ignored. I can't be sure what I'm even paying rent for.

But that went out the window when they decided to make cuts and get rid of the one person who could things in order. It has been one headache after another. This is now way to live in an apartment. Damn neighbor next door to me won't let maintenance come in and fix her smoke detector, which has been beeping of and on for two weeks and now probably gonna go on for three weeks, especially since maintenance and management don't know how to stand their ground and just get in there & fix it. Also the setup for the smoke detectors in this place is way off. The smoke detectors shouldn't be so high up. They should be at a level so people can easily change the batteries instead of waiting for maintenance to come in with a ladder to be able to change the batteries. A guide to living in Chestnut Farm Apartments: Don't bring any nice shoes because you will be dodging dog droppings on the daily. After you enjoy viewing the tainted-green pool liner while basking on the 20-year-old chaise lounges, you can treck through the hazardous terrain to feast your eyes on Mt. Dumpster. If you decide to visit Mt. Dumpster after it rains, BRING YOUR WADERS to get through the mud. Bring your ice skates after a freeze and consider a snowmobile after the snow. There is no paved path to the mountain so conditions are hazardous. The complex includes a Time Machine to 1999 they call the fitness center. Here you get to experience crusty vintage gym equipment over a brown carpet while you marinate in the must. Don't forget to bring your own hand sanitizer, a hook to hang your coat, and dumbbells (there is only one set of mis-matched dumbbells available). No matter the amount of complaints or suggestions, management will do nothing. What they will always be sure to do is to leave your lease renewal letter with a generous increase of only $100/mo for a declining quality of a "home." You wont have much time to capture photos of all of these experiences because you will be leaving faster than you entered. If you enjoy living in slime, Chestnut Farm Apartments is the place for you (and likely any other Winn Residential). The only good thing you'll have to watch out for here is the maintenance crew. They are so helpful and do a great job keeping up given the circumstances of their careless managers.

When I reached Lola, the woman…read morelisted as responsible for the posting and as the contact person I was met with a snotty attitude and verbal aggression, and even more of it when I answered her question about the type of dog I have (terrier mix.. bull and pit). When I called the direct office number to ask to speak to a supervisor (Carol), due to the treatment I had just received, I was then again met by an aggressive attitude from Lola, who yelled at me and told me she did not give me an attitude (ironic.) When I finally heard from Carol, she denied that her employee would ever be rude to someone stating "That doesn't sound like her" and was resistant to discussing any issue with me aside from to tell me that I'm wrong regarding the fact that BSL is outlawed in the state of MA (which it's not.) This company is clearly run by ignorant and rude individuals who have no concept of how to treat a customer. I will never do business with them and I recommend that you do not either, as they clearly have no respect for others.
