I've been a patient of this office since December 27, 2011, and I can't imagine going anywhere else. I've had dental anxiety in the past and have seen other dentists over the years, but this has been by far the best dental experience of my life. Dr. Heidari is patient, gentle, funny, and always makes me feel comfortable. He has a way of putting people at ease that is truly special. What makes this office extra special is that every single staff member reflects the same level of kindness and care. From the front office to the back office, everyone is welcoming, professional, compassionate, and genuinely invested in their patients. After nearly 15 years, they have watched my life change in so many ways. They've seen me come in with young children who are now grown adults. They've been there through different chapters of my life. Over time, they have become more than just a dental office. They feel like people who truly know and care about their patients. If you're looking for a dentist who is skilled, gentle, trustworthy, and surrounded by an amazing team, I cannot recommend this office highly enough. I am incredibly grateful to have found them and hope I never have to see another dentist! read more

Dr. Heidari is great, honest, thorough, and affordable! He is the ONLY person I will EVER go to for an implant, and I've had three done by him over the past decade. (Look it up. He's an expert on implants). He even saved one of my front teeth that another dentist insisted needed to be pulled. I pay less to see Dr. Heidari without insurance (I have crappy dental coverage) than I paid at 2 different dentist using my insurance. How is this possible? Because he doesn't try to upsell ridiculous stuff like $300 for antibiotics. A special shout out to his fantastic staff: Sonia and the dental assistants are kind and caring and patient. read more

The care I received from the moment I walked in was amazing! The updated equipment, and expertise of the technicians was so great. From the front desk to the X-ray technicians and Dentists superb! I was treated like I was the most important patient and my comfort was their main concern. I needed to have my upper teeth removed for medical purposes , and I promise you they kept checking on my comfort thru the whole process. All follow ups are the same amazing treatment. I had my surgery and once I rehab will be back to have my uppers adjusted. They came out beautiful Highly recommend. read more

Friendly staff I came very late and they still helped me! Very comforting staff because I was very nervous!

After seeing others reviews I can see, Dr. Babak does not like to take accountability when him and his staff do something wrong. My poor friend got in infection on her gums. read more

It's funny they replied that I am going to be getting in contact with MY lawyer as my teeth were shaved to far down in the front. I have had another orthodontist look at my teeth we will see soon. thank you for pushing it over the edges and trying to put out my information as how many appointments were missed I'm sure they weren't that many and how can I control it I was only 16/17 at the time with no car until I turned 18 towards the end of the treatment. So thank you for trying to point things out I could not control and the fact you guys tried to call me to confront me I really don't care I will am going to be getting in contact with the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU read more

I have to write a review. I had my teeth done few years back and recently had an issue with my cosmetic work due to normal wear and tear. I recently had to come in for route cleaning but mentioned my concern with my teeth. Mr. Hedari fixed my smile back to perfection. He really took his time. Trust me I can tell. Im that type of patient. I am happy with his work and patiences with me. He fix my problem and they did a wonderful job with my cleaning. I continue to get compliments on my teeth and asked for my dentist and with delight I give my recommendation. Its hard to find a place you like and aren't treated like just another patient. This place is great. I now decide to get braces with them based on the merit of their good work. I can't wait to see the results. Teeth are very important to me and if you are looking for a good dental office this is the place to go. read more

I went there for a dental exam 2 days ago. Sonia is amazing, she is friendly and helpful. Staff were polite and professional, One of the dental assistants did my X-ray and polished my teeth, I was really happy with the job she did. I feel like Dr. Heidari was a bit rushed and didn't do a thorough exam on me, maybe I was just unlucky to have been there as the last patient on a day he was leaving sooner because of a family event. However, it was a positive experience overall; he seemed to be honest and professional. read more

Finally! A friendly, efficient dental office that is conveniently located on Tustin Ave in Orange. Not only is Dr. Heidari super friendly, so is his entire staff. My multiple visits to get my new front teeth were all painless, not only while I was in the chair but parking in their own lot, getting taken care of as soon as I arrived and the obvious attitude towards a sterile environment. Oops, almost forgot, LOVE LOVE LOVE my new smile! read more

I have been coming here for years and everyone here is so welcoming and kind. All the staff is just so great highly recommend coming here.

I had cracked a tooth and needed to get it taken care of so I went to see Dr. Heidari. NoAmi, The dental assistant was very helpful, knowledgeable and highly skilled. I was really surprised at how professional everyone is in this dental office. All the dental procedures were Literally pain-free. I can recommend Dr. Heidari to everyone. The prices are extremely reasonable and the quality of work was the best experience I've ever had in a dental office. Thank you Dr. Heidari. Sonya and Noami. I'm no longer afraid of going to the dentist. Look forward to my next visit! read more

The best dental experience I've had so far! Dr. Heidari has great chairside manners and is very attentive. I recently went in to start my Spark aligner treatment and so far the progress has been great! Highly recommend this office! Staff is great as well read more

Literally everytime I come here for braces the dental assistants won't stop talking to themselves while I'm over here with my mouth so open that flies could go in and out like a hotel. They took so long that I was sinking into the chair, making a dent of my sculpted body (professional gym goer) . And don't even bother asking for a specific color for braces because 9 times out of 10 they'll get you the most hideous color either way. Anyway, I give it 2 stars because I'm one and another for the nice lady that took care of me the other day. read more

My teeth have been a nightmare my entire life. (5 decades!) I take very good care of them but it just hasn't been enough. Genetics are against me. As such, I've always dreaded going to the dentist because it always means some kind of work. I am so grateful to Dr. Heidari and his staff as they are so patient, kind and caring. My stress is much lower when it comes to getting dental work done now. He has taken care of several root canals and crowns and cavities for me. My mouth is small which makes it very difficult for him to reach those molars where I've needed those root canals. One time he was having trouble finding/getting to one of the roots. I was really close to needing a specialist but he kept trying and trying (and trying) because he knew what a financial difficulty that would mean to me. He's also not the type of Dr. who throws in the towel easily. If he refers you to a specialist it's because you REALLY need one. His staff is always checking to see if I'm comfortable, need water, need a break.... And Sonia, his front office manager, is fantastic. I highly recommend this office. read more

If you're paying out of pocket please PLEASE get a SECOND OPINION !!! I had been coming here for years and always paid out of pocket. I got my braces here as a kid. But 15 years later I had a problem with my last two wisdom teeth hurting as they were coming out and of course I come here because I had trusted this dental office. I only came in for wisdom teeth extraction but then on the chair they told me I also have cavities that I urgently needed filling. Because they knew I pay out of pocket I told them I just want the wisdom teeth extracted and when I get my insurance (through work) I will come get my cavities filled. They straight out refused and said they will not touch my wisdom teeth unless I get at least one side of cavities filled. They told me I had a total of 8 cavities that needed to be filled. Because I was in pain for days already I almost signed over feeling the pressure from the receptionist and dentist. But it didn't feel right to me. Even though I was in pain I told them that I would think about it. That my concern was my wisdom teeth and they said absolutely not. If I won't get my cavities filled that day as well they can't take out my wisdom teeth. They said because it's the best course of action since I will be under anesthesia. Because I had been a patient here for a while they already knew I pay out of pocket always so they figured if they give me this plan I would pay the $1700. Even though I was in pain I went to another dentist and got a second opinion and he told me he could definitely take my wisdom teeth and he did. He also said I don't have any cavities. Only two that may need to refilled later on. A month after I got my wisdom teeth taken out I decided to get a third opinion and he also said I didn't have any cavities. I was in such disbelief that they would do this to me. Knowing I was scared and pain they really did make me feel pressured to sign off. The third dentist I visited even told me to request my records and ask them exactly about my plan of action for me because even he thought it was so absurd. Please PLEASE GET A SECOND OPINION IF YOURE PAYING OUT OF POCKET. THEY WILL TRY TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU! read more

Thank you! South Coast Dental, I've been very afraid of heading back to the dentist for a while. I was recommended to come in here by a patient of many years. Your assistant was very genuine and helpful, apart from that he was knowledgeable and comforting given the fact that I was very nervous. Thank you Dr. Babak most importantly for giving me a reality check and how important it is to take care of our overall oral health. You didn't disguise my mistakes but you did tell me I took the right step and I believe I did with you. See you guys soon! read more

I can't say enough great things about the office! Sonia is amazing and very personable. They took great care of my eldest with his braces and will be starting my second oldest this summer! I also went in with a tooth ache 30 weeks pregnant this week and Dr. Heidari was able to find the problem that I dentist I'd been to a week prior couldn't. He took great care of me and was very careful. Today I woke up with no pain after 4 weeks, multiple doctor visits and other dentist. If you're looking for someone who won't make you wait all day like other offices do and provide great care this is the location for you! read more

Great! Very detailed when giving dental analysis.

The best dentist I have ever been too! My family and I have been going to Dr. HEIDARI FOR OVER 10 years. We drive over an hour just to see him because he is simply the BEST. I trust him with all of our dental needs! He takes great care of our teeth. He listens to our concerns and is always professional and friendly. My newphew Is so excited to get braces there! Update: this dentist has changed his review response yet again. I decided to check back since others have reached out to me about him and say their negative reviews get taken down. 1st, He is a liar. My daughter was very cooperative. She NEVER warranted a specialist. Dr. Hedari never properly checked my child. 2nd, his 5 star reviews are written by yelpers with no friends mainly. And yes, he did outsource his child patients to another dentist who came in once a week. His claimed ability to procreate does not excuse his poor Behavior or make him a good dentist. Unbelievable. I'm not sure what the PTA or his offspring has to do with his poor bedside manners. It makes his behavior all the more appalling. He scares no-one by throwing out words such as" libelous." It's laughable. His response speaks volumes. His father practices at a different location. Simply a disgrace to the profession! Beware of awful dentistry! read more

Hello all, Went in yesterday and had number 12 tooth extracted. had 3 implants placed, #12, 13, and 15. As I said before, Dr Heidari is the BEST doctor on Earth. I went on with the usual anxiety, but in th e back of my mind I knew it was all going to be great. So I sat down, he numbed me, gave me several shots to make sure I dont feel a thing. I love how he gives shots and massages your mouth, and his angel of an assistant slightly pinches my hand as IO get the shots " saying, it'll just be a pinch". All in all I was there about an hour or so, had a tooth pulled, felt NOTHING but very little pressure, as you would expect right! Then I had the 3 implants placed, he is so good when he was fished I had to ask him "are you really done?" If you need a great dentist office and dentist, this is the place! See you all soon read more

I just got braces on, but so far the service has been great. I would recommend this place to friends and family.

Called to see if they would take new patients. The answer from the receptionist was, "Yes we are!" Then, after a second, she asked me to hold. A minute later another person came on and asked "What insurance do you carry?" I told them I have a dental HMO plan (which, by the way, my plan shows this office to be in my plan network). Once I mentioned the HMO, this person said "Oh, sorry, we are not accepting new patients right now". On a whim, I called back the next day and asked the same questions - but told them I have a PPO plan. The response was "Why yes, we are accepting new patients now". Interesting. Never been there, but right off the bat I have a very strong notion about the integrity of this office. read more

This dental office and their staff is amazing! Everyone is so friendly and welcoming from the moment you walk in. Really enjoyed my experience here! All the staff is very nice and kind. Highly recommend this dentist.

I've been visiting South Coast Dental Group, and Dr. Heidari for about eight months now. They have a terrific modern office that is clean and neat. The staff of nurses are very knowledgeable and caring in their work. The front desk staff are likewise, very professional and considerate. Dr. Heidari takes time to explain his process with you, something I really appreciate as it lets me know what to expect. I have had several fillings placed, as well as an implant with a crown. The results have been fantastic. I really love the way my smile looks, and I have confidence in the work Dr. Heidari accomplished to get it there. No one really looks forward to going to the dentist, but I am really glad to know that if and when it comes up again, South Coast Dental Group will be my choice for dental work. Thanks! read more

Dr. Babak Heidari and his staff were very welcoming on my first time there. They helped me as best as they can to see if I was insured to cover the expenses.
