Giant nest under shed
Craig H.

Pierson did a great job. Showed up on time cleared out a ton of bees. Very helpful and informative. Bees under shed - he had to cut out the floor -remove a 4x2 foot nest. Put the floor back perfectly- had a device that shows the hives under the floor. He let my son (had his own bee suit) even help him- great learning experience and he took lots of pictures.

The bee colony

At 3:30 this afternoon my garden filled with bees that swarmed around and around and eventually colonized the rambling rose on top of my patio cover. At 4 o'clock I called South Bay Bee removal and Pearson, who was too far away to come and see to them, gave me the number of his business partner John. John arrived at five and by six the bees were gone to a new home in one of John's hives. Excellent and charming and efficient service, highly recommended.

Confused swarm of bees clinging to each other.

This review is way overdue...but we very highly recommend Pearson as our go to bee removal expert. A swarm of bees decided to make our avocado tree their home. Although there was no hive, they were clinging to each other on a branch of the tree in the shape of a hive (and very upset) Pearson advised us that this was unusual behavior for bees and they were very likely displaced by construction or someone's roof that got too hot. He came out with a box, encouraged all of the bees to make it their new home, and came back that evening to collect the box. Efficient and amazing.

Cleaned up no more bees!

What a life saver! We recently moved into our house and out of no where this swarm of bees start to gather outside my office window. I called South Bay Bee Removal and they were here the next day. They were so attentive and so easy to communicate with. They took care of the bees and made us feel safe and comfortable in our home again. They were super fair and pricing .10/10 would recommend any time.

Taking care of our nasty bee problem!

Pearson is the owner and thank god I found South Bay Bee removal. We had a problematic bee hive in a difficult location of our home. It was a very high roof and I reached out to multiple different companies to get this addressed immediately. I didn't hear back from these other places, but was fortunate enough to stumble upon South Bay Bee Removal because Pearson was SUPER responsive and checked out the issue right away. He tried to fix it the first time and said that if it wasn't taken care of in a week, he would come back. Needless to say, they never came back and we appreciated his efforts that went above and beyond our expectations - on top of his assurance that he would fix it, if issues still arose. We now know who to go to if we ever have bee issues in the future and would highly recommend him to any family or friends. Use him!

Fantastic service from South Bay Bee Removal! They were prompt and professional and carefully removed the hive from our front yard. Even better, they keep the bees and harvest the honey - I can't wait to buy honey from our bees. Highly recommend!

Bees were hanging out in the closed eave, three stories up!

I'd like to update my review since my first stellar review was for the initial estimate process…read moreonly and I said I would update (but forgot). It's been 5 years and we've had plenty of people up in our attic since Rodent Masters completed our job and any time someone goes up there, I beg them to check and double check to ensure there are no rodent droppings. During this time, we have not heard a peep in the attic which is a complete 180 from what we were hearing before - it always sounded like the rats were having a party up there in the middle of the night. The process took about a month from start to finnish because the first thing they do is cover and patch all holes or entrances up so that nothing can get in (or out) and not just outside of the house but inside the attic and inside every single area from within the house. It's a LOT of work but they did it very well. Then, they came back and, in our case, because things were so bad, they sucked out all of the insulation and then reinsulated the entire attic with much higher quality material than what had been removed. Then they came back on final time to ensure there was no activity. So, I have no reason not to continue recommending Rodent Masters and I have for the last 5 years. I do think I will contact them soon though just to have someone do a walk around to ensure there are no new holes that have developed since they were last here. Highly recommend and I'm glad to see that the reviews continue to be outstanding since the one I gave 5 years ago!

ONE STAR FOR SHOWING UP ON TIME. ZERO STARS FOR EVERYTHING THAT MATTERED…read more I hired Rodent Masters because I have documented ongoing rat activity around my private patio at my apartment for approximately a year. I have five security cameras recording the activity, including rats repeatedly on the ground in my private patio where my small dog walks and sniffs. I explained the situation to Max in detail, including how distressed I was, and told him I was prepared to pay for an exterminator's help myself. At their request, I obtained my landlord's permission for them to perform the work. The day before the appointment, I went even further: I sent Max a five-page presentation with photographs and a diagram of my property, identifying suspected burrows, storage areas with rat activity/droppings, openings I wanted sealed, the water-heater closet, planters/root systems and other possible nesting and entry locations. I also explained that I have a small dog and wanted safe, enclosed trapping options. I specifically asked whether they could perform the work the same day if possible. The technician arrived on time, but the inspection I expected simply did not happen. He focused on whether rats might be inside my apartment even though I had reported an outdoor problem. When I asked whether he had seen my presentation, he told me it was "at the office." He did not open and inspect the storage cupboards where I had reported rat activity and droppings. He did not investigate the suspected burrows. He did not seal any openings. He looked directly at an opening into one of my storage areas and did nothing about it. Most incredibly, while standing on my patio he explained that rats like protected areas around water heaters, yet he never even opened the doors to inspect the two water heaters I had specifically identified in my presentation. After all of this, the primary recommendation I received was to buy mountain lion or fox urine and spray it myself. After I complained, Max initially told me in writing that he was "very confused" because he had forwarded my list to the technician and explained the situation to him. He later said they were trying to "save me money" and the technician did not want to take my money "by just setting traps." That explanation makes no sense. This was supposed to be a free estimate. I never told anyone I was on a budget. I had specifically asked whether they could do the work that same day and was prepared to pay. Nobody even gave me an estimate or presented treatment options and allowed me to decide what I wanted to spend. Max also brought up my doggie door afterward. I did not tell Max about a doggie door the day before. I mentioned it casually to the technician while we were already standing on my patio. I never reported rats inside my apartment. He insisted on coming in and looking under my sink and told me I had no evidence of rat existence. My complaint is simple: I hired a rodent professional to investigate documented rat activity, identify nesting/entry areas, recommend appropriate trapping and exclusion, and give me an estimate. Instead, the specific areas I identified were not meaningfully investigated, no holes were sealed, I received no estimate, and I was essentially told to buy predator urine. Had Max simply told me after receiving my five-page presentation that this wasn't the type of work they were going to perform, I would have thanked him and continued looking for another company. Instead, I stopped searching because I believed help was coming the next morning. That lost time matters when you are already dealing with an ongoing problem. I also let Max know how traumatized I was by these rats and how I wasn't sleeping at night. He seemed so empathetic and told me not to worry. Why pretend you want to help and then lie about our initial conversation. P.S. I saw another reviewer say someone from this company arrived in an unmarked white van, which the company disputed in its response. The technician who came to my home also arrived in an unmarked white van, and I have the security-camera footage showing it.

We probably…read morehad about 8 different companies come out to assess and give us quotes, but Pacific Termite was the most thorough and reasonable. We just had our home and detached garage tented and fumigated on September 22nd-24th. They were very thorough and organized leading up to and during the actual fumigation. Too often do companies have great customer service up to the actual job and then "disappear" afterwards. This was not the case with Pacific Termite. There were a couple of not too big issues (not with Pacific Termite, but with the fumigators who did the job) and Scott immediately reached out to look into it and rectify it. We noticed our thermostat wasn't working immediately after the fumigation and Scott mentioned it likely had nothing to do with the tenting, etc. but still offered to take care of it if we found out that it was somehow related when the HVAC technician came out. I would give Scott and his team more than 5 stars if possible. The response, integrity and follow-through by Pacific Termite is unmatched. It is rare to find people that take true pride in and stand behind their work. Thank you! Robert and Sharon

I'm very skeptical when it comes to pest controls due to the bad experience I've had over and over. So, when I had a big problem with ants at my house this time, I had to do tremendous amount of research before I found John. I liked the reviews on yelp, so I decided to give him a call. At first, I was so annoyed by his explanation about the stuff I had to remove from all of the kitchen and bathroom cabinets. Yes, ALL!!! I have twins and I really didn't have time to do that. But every time I've called him, he kept telling me over and over again to make sure when he comes - the stuff is outside. Otherwise, it's not going to be effective. I'm so glad I did what he asked for (photos attached). And this time the formula worked!!! John is a true professional and I'm really thankful I found him! He is very friendly, reasonably priced (yelp deal) and communicative. Highly recommended!

He blamed me for various things like questioning why he wanted our crawl space 100% open during his trapping. He lied and said he removed and reset traps when he did not. I was home on the days he said he was there, my dog barks, and I checked the trap several times a day. This guy simply was lying about resetting the trap. He abandoned our house completely for 13 days. After a skunk sprayed under our house a second time while Daddys Pest Control was supposedly helping me with the problem, the smell was so bad we couldn't be in half our house for 3 days. I fired him. I hired a much better trapper who in less than 24 hours trapped and removed the skunk for half the price. Basically I paid this man $500 to do nothing, and a different guy $250 to trap and remove a skunk. 2 stars for his responsiveness to the first call and coming out to get the first $500 check and set a trap two or three times with cat food that caught a possum that was not the problem. Zero stars on actually doing what we needed him to do. A competent trapper getting the job done quickly with 24 hours of firing Daddy's Pest Control is all you need to know. He might be great for ants or bugs, but look elsewhere for bigger pests like skunks or rats. I am not trying to kill anyone's livelihood here, but this man is definitely not your guy for skunks or rats.
