Matthew/South Austin Irrigation were great. Scheduling was hassle free. I had a few broken sprinkler heads, an entire dead zone, and more heads that needed adjustment. Matthew took care of all of it. He also came back out to inspect the dead zone once it started to work when the underlying issue (low water pressure) was resolved to make sure the heads there are properly adjusted. I've had South Austin Irrigation out on three separate occasions- first for a consult to redesign some of the areas of the yard that weren't being watered properly; a second time to troubleshoot a leak that we could not locate; and a third time for a minor repair. Each time, they have given us a reasonable timeframe for their visit, they have shown up on time and they have completed the work to our satisfaction. When I contracted with SAI I had a perfectly green lawn, 100% green. I had a several small leaks and some heads that needed replacing, I also wanted a controller I could use from my phone. They fixed the leaks and replaced several heads and installed a $375 controller. After 2 call backs and two different controllers they gave up and installed a $250 controller not controllable by phone. And instead of 100% green grass I had seven brown spots where sprinkler was not hitting. After they did some adjustments, I still have 4 brown spots. So, after $2000+ how would you feel? read more

My review is pretty much in line with what everyone else has said. Excellent customer service, quick response, nice guys, etc. I was not really sure what I needed or what was wrong. Matt & Cameron took the time to explain things, show me how they worked, and were able to, not only fix what was broken, but optimize what was working. Based on the work they did and the time they spent here I was expected a much higher bill. I actually told him before he left that I would be saving his information in my phone in case I ever needed his services again (or to refer to someone else who does). Really exceptional. First of all, these are the guys for sprinkler repair in Austin! Matt showed up to the job site early and was prepared with every tool in the box. With sprinkler systems, especially of the aging variety, troubleshooting can be the most challenging and the actual repair rather simple and straightforward. Matt with South Austin Irrigation has been my go-to irrigation company for many changes we've made to our yard over the last 4 years. We've done extensive rock work throughout the front and back yards (which required major irrigation changes); converted an entire zone of our irrigation system to a low-pressure drip irrigation system for my 1000 sq ft "in-ground" garden, plus a recent drainage project to top it off. My experiences with South Austin Irrigation have always been good - Matt is professional and punctual, and has always known what to do to solve the issues I've thrown at him. I was using other companies before I found him, so I can say that his rates are very competitive as well. Matt is a good communicator and doesn't mind taking time to explain the reasons for doing something one way or another, and then letting you make an informed decision about how you want to handle it. I just had to have my sprinkler system repaired and wanted to recommend South Austin Irrigation and owner Matt Sorenson (512) 534-7449. They are headquartered in Dripping Springs. I turned on the sprinkler system for the first time this season to test it and found I had one dead zone. I called Matt because he has worked on my sprinkler system before. It is his busy season right now but he worked me into his schedule. He had really specialized electrical break detection equipment and found the line break. Turns out the line was almost certainly cut when my cable company installed a new line to the house. (I will deal with them later). The picture I think tells the story. Not only did they cut the wiring to the disabled zone they also punctured the water supply line to a different zone. Matt quickly fixed both. Matt came and worked on a BIG problem where I work. He and his assistant, Sean, couldn't have been more professional, polite and hardworking. They kept with the problem all afternoon and into the evening, only leaving when the problem was taken care of, and it was a BIG problem. A four-inch water main reducing to a two inch with a bad solenoid buried deep, and next to a bunch of other pipes. I had a leak in my in-ground sprinkler system, so I found South Austin Irrigation and saw some positive reviews. I was impressed! Matt called me back immediately after I left him a message and asked about the problems I was having with my system. He first took me step-by-step through what I needed to do immediately until he could get to my house, which was on the complete opposite side of town from where he was. He showed up when he said he would show up, assessed my system and told me exactly the parts he would need and told me what he needed to do to not only repair the problem, but also what was needed to bring my system up to code. Unfortunately, there were some other problems that he discovered while working on it, but he called and checked with me for approval before proceeding. He was very friendly and even though he had to dig up some ground, he put it back almost to the point where you couldn't tell it had been excavated. He gave me a fair price and asked that if I run into any further problems to call him and he would make the trek all the way back to my house to make adjustments.
