We are foster parents and while being licensed we had to get a fire extinguisher for each floor. The first year was up this month and I realized I had to have them checked and tagged to be in compliance for our license. I wasn't sure where to turn or if I should just go back to Home Depot and buy 2 new ones. I found 1st Safety and sent an email requesting service and cost. To my delight, Steve responded immediately explaining that I should set them out on my porch in the morning and he would take care of it. He also said he does not charge foster/adopt families for this service. He came, tagged both of my little extinguishers and left me a new larger one all at no charge! What a blessing he is! What a breath of fresh air! I never thought I would have such strong opinions about a fire safety company but in the process of getting certified to be a foster parent, I googled "Fire inspection in cedar park" and came across the 1st Fire Safety website. I called and told Steven that I needed two tagged fire extinguishers for certification and he offered them for free since I was doing foster/adopt and he would "rather I spend that money on diapers." He also offered to leave a free First Aid Kit which I also needed for certification. I am sure he must lose money giving away products and services he can easily sell but I hope that he is rewarded by karma--what a generous and kind-hearted person. I am happy to review this company. William Colson, the technician from this company came to our two houses on 9/16/2019 to inspect and certify two fire extinguishers. After inspection I curiously asked about operating the FEs in case of emergency although there is instruction printed on FE. Bill did not leave me just by explaining how to pull the pin and operate, he literally made to operate as through there is a fire. I did and it gave me confidence. We had two old FEs, one has completely leaked out. They are 2011 models. I requested Bill whether I can dispose it off and if so where? He said, he can buy it and give credit in the invoice. He did credit and took the old FEs away. Very cooperative and courteous. read more

my name is George live in Austin. requested an annual inspection of my home back flow prevention valve. since the valve was old and wouldn't meet requirements of city of Austin water department they walked me through and educated me so well that I changed the valve with a standard one myself and saved over a $1000. then they performed the inspection and charged me only $100. These guys are great. Our previous backflow inspectors were always late and the prices kept going up. These guys show up within a week of notice (not at the end of the grace period) and promptly file all of the paperwork.
