EDiT - Although late they came and gave good advise and saved me some $. Upgraded to 4. = First visit they fixed my sprinkler head that got run-over and snapped off near driveway. Today they were to come back and install rain + solar sensor for synching my 9,000 sq.ft. area, needed them to "cap off " the sidewalk soakers to the utility transformers, add some taller sprinkler heads... We had a lightning strike over the weekend in the yard that blew out my sprinkler controller and destroyed one sprinkler valve adjacent to where the strike hit the ground as evidenced by the top of the valve box blown off because the valve solenoid ruptured which resulted in the copper winding unravelling inside the box. I can do basic wiring so I was able to replace the burned up controller with a new one as well as the damaged valve. After replacing the damaged valve I thought i was back in business. I tested the zone with the new valve but it would not activate. I then tested all of the zones to see if they worked or not. I have 11 zones and what I discovered was that in addition to the new valve I had just installed there were 3 other sprinkler valves that didn't work but were intact. Even though I was able to replace the controller I know nothing about sprinkler valve to valve wiring. Realizing that whatever the issue was was beyond my capabilities I called RaintreeUSA late that Monday afternoon based on the reviews on Yelp. I left a message and received a prompt callback early the next morning from Darrell. Being that is the middle of the summer and the busy time of the year for sprinkler companies Darrell said the soonest he could schedule me would be Tuesday of the following week which was a week later. I told him to put me on the schedule since the other sprinkler company I called and left a message with never called me back. Darrell said he would try to get to me sooner if possible. In the interim I spent some more time performing more troubleshooting a couple of days later on the affected valves and eventually was able to determine that apparently the wiring to the affected valves was good but that the valves themselves were bad. Ironically enough Darrell called just as I had finished my troubleshooting to say he could make it out later in the afternoon which was Friday, 3 days after my initial call to him and 4 days sooner than scheduled. I told Darrell of the findings from my additional troubleshooting. He was able to affirm that based on what I was reporting that I was probably on the right track as far as what was wrong with the valves not operating. He even spent some time explaining some things to help me understand how sprinkler wiring was supposed to work. I told him to hold up on coming later that afternoon and that I was going to replace the other 3 valves to see if that would take care of my problem. The replacement valves resolved the issue and my entire system is back in service. So even though Darrell never made it out service my system I have to give him 5 stars for promptly getting in touch with me, following through on trying to get to me sooner than scheduled and being willing to help me out over the phone with troubleshooting as well providing insight in helping me understand how the valve wring is supposed to work. If I should ever need the services of an irrigation repair company Darrell and RaintreeUSA will be the first phone call I will make. read more

I emailed Darrell after finding his contact information on his website. He called us in a day or so and said he could come Saturday morning of the same week. We're in Liberty Hill. He confirmed that time later and showed up exactly when he said he would be here. He had already told me on the phone that he would take a look at what problems our sprinkler had and if it wasn't a complicated fix, he could probably start it that day. He walked me through everything he found and fixed everything, suggested a couple other ideas for how to best get the entire lawn watered, and was on his way within a couple of hours. The kicker, for us, was that he did the work for about 1/3 the blanket cost quote we had received from another company. This is why we ALWAYS get a 2nd estimate / opinion.
