There was a pretty big variety of dishes: many Caribbean classics but also some rarer ones. Service was not great - they took a while before asking what I wanted to drink. The food was largely delicious, though nothing was labelled so I wasn't sure what many dishes were. The dishes nearer the entrance were better; e.g. fried chicken & spicy chicken. Split pea soup & peanut porridge/soup (if it was porridge it was too thin) were pretty good. At the back, the goat was pretty bony & not so tasty, the rasta pasta & fried vermicelli were ok & the curry vegetables were so so. The buffet was $21.99 plus tax, a 50% price hike from what is presumably 2020's price on the website. It was also rung up as 2 ackee and saltfish because they hadn't updated their system yet, which was rather odd.

The chicken is served on a bed of rice and peas with coleslaw (yumm!) and chicken. I found the jerk chicken was delicious and super flavourful. The stew chicken was drier than the jerk chicken but it was still good. I also believe they put butter in their rice - the rice tastes almost... cheesy? And for my lactose sensitive friends, you might also feel it in your gut! But still an enjoyable dish!

My go to is always the Ravis Stew and the Curried Lamb Wrap. Best combo ever and I can't finish it so I always get to take some home. It tastes just as amazing the next day! The Corn Chowder and Wild Mushroom Bisque is also fantastic. I can't help but order Ravis Stew each time, but I'll usually pick one more to go. I went for the ackee & saltfish dinner with dumplings, Rice&Peas with Callaloo, and a large serving of chicken soup (soup of the day). Overall the food was enjoyable, a tad oily on the rice&peas and the ackee&saltfish portion, but the food was tasty and quite enjoyable (though I lowkey wished it was spicier). I really like the dumplings, it reminds me of the donut sticks you'd get when eating congee, except these dumplings are dense and delicious. It's a solid place, it definitely merits repeat visits!

I went for my usual go-to Jamaican food which is jerk chicken, rice and coleslaw. The serving was pretty good for a lunch portion and the price was around $7-8. The Food: Meh. Not good, not bad. The chicken was flavourful but the rice (usually my favourite part) was wayyyy too dry. Even with the oxtail gravy the rice was not enjoyable. My favourite was the coleslaw. I've never had coleslaw with raisins in it but it was delicious! Would I return? Probably not. Well, maybe for the coleslaw. Besides that, my quest for the perfect jerk chicken and rice and peas continues.

Out of the seafoods, mussels were my personal favourite. They were plump and tender, holding onto the sauce in their shells, creating tasty mouthfuls. Portions were more generous than initially met the eye -- as we ate, we did quickly become full. A downside is that warm/hot things are served in plastic bags. Mmmm yummy micro plastics... And the tables and washroom were not the cleanliest. I loved the decor of the place. Interesting art to look at, and splashes of colour here and there. Lots of tables.
