Simple, friendly, fast and local place to get good found at a reasonable price. The good size staff worked well together and were amazing. read more

I have been here twice once last year on my birthday week and yesterday. Both times I was greeted when I sat at the little counter area they have and promptly given a menu. I love the old school ice cream soda fountain vibes here. You also really get your moneys worth. Yesterday I got a chocolate peanut butter malt. It was heavenly. The nice lady who took my order and made the malt even double checked with me that the malt had the perfect balance of peanut butter in it for me. Which was honestly over the top kind. This place was really busy which I totally get when it was so hot out ice cream is always a hit. I would love to stop in again and you should too. read more

This may sound a little nutty but I drove from Milwaukee just for a sundae from Soup to Nuts! Just kidding!!! But their sundaes are worth a drive!!! I had the pleasure of chatting with Jerry as he made my sundae. He's a jack of all trades. I've have 10+ burgers of his over the years and too many sundaes or shakes to count! He and his wife own the place and are a staple in Crivitz food culture. Sundaes are better than the burgers but I'm a little partial due to a sweet tooth! The burgers are excellent and the buns are made in-house daily!!! Mmmmm! I make sure to stop in whenever I'm in town. You should too. read more

What a cute little stop! We decided to stop for lunch on our way to Phelps. Don't be confused by the little gift shop, this is in fact a little lunch counter. The owners greater U.S. And we're friendly and conversational- not intrusive. Gave us some local color and trivia. The food was great! I had the turkey and apple sandwich with "sauce" which I got on the side because I was skeptical. It was so great!! An unassuming little spot with fresh food and great service! read more

We stopped in for lunch the other day at Soup To Nuts based on the strength of their Yelp reviews and we had a wonderful experience. Especially noteworthy was their handling of my wife who is a vegetarian. She didn't feel like the black bean burger on their menu, so their chef whipped up something special for her. This place really went the extra mile for us and we heartily recommend it! read more

Owner is clueless as to the fact that not everyone thinks the way he does politically. And, that it's not a good idea to come over to a patron's table and start spouting a bunch of, what I consider, a bunch of political bullshit. A most unpleasant experience to say the least. Will never go there ever again. read more

Worth a stop; award winning home-made ice cream, plus full menu. Had ham/cheese omelette, wife had the bistro special-both really good. Great home town atmosphere, friendly folks. Will be back here. read more

Great owners. Very personable. And even more delicious food! Chili, turkey sandwich, coleslaw and ice cream were all top notch! Glad we ran across this place! read more

Nice find! My wife had the cheese burger with fires and I had the Turkey & Bacon with chips. Both came on a homemade bun and were delicious. The owner Jerry came over to talk and was very friendly. We recommend this place and will stop there again. read more

Wonderful ice cream selection and friendly service. Really glad we stopped here on our trip. I think maybe the Turtle Sundae truly is the best one in North America -- no kidding! Solid sandwiches and cheeseburgers too. read more

I don't have a problem with their ice cream, but I have a problem with the owner. He should get up off his wallet and hire some staff that isn't nine years old. It took my wife and I over a half hour to get two chocolate malts. It wasn't crowded, there was only one guy in line waiting before we got there, he waited about 15 minutes before they delivered a single ice cream cone to him. It was almost 20 minutes after we paid that the one malt was delivered, then another 10 minutes later for the second. We really didn't intend to devote so much of our lives to this. The owner needs to hire some staff and stop taking advantage of little kids to run his business. He was there, I saw him chatting up a table of old women trying to sell the junk he has there, but the nine year old was running the store. And one more tip to the owner, spend a little money on a awning for your walk up window. If it's raining the roof drains right on your head, this day I stood in the blazing sun for a ridiculous amount of time. We won't be stopping again... unless he hires some real staff. read more

Great little town place with a huge menu! Jerry, the owner, is outgoing and loves to share stories with customers. The food is good. Loved the nostalgia all over the eating area and store. This business is for sale! Near popular vacation spots. read more

I keep going back for their old fashioned ice cream sodas. Takes me back to Lovelace's Dairy Bar of my youth.

Try the Jerry burger and ice cream from the Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream Inc. dairy! If you have an appetite, try the lumberjack challenge for a free turtle sunday! read more

This place was super cool! My hubby and I both got burgers and they were so good. The bun was toasted and everything had a ton of flavor. The fries were crispy without being heavy with grease. The fries weren't greasy at all in fact. Which is a plus for me! My whole family got milkshakes that were also awesome. They were thick and rich and we even got the extra which is rare now a days. One of my boys got the French dip, and I liked that as much as the burger. Happy faces all around our table. This is a must stop place. You won't go wrong. read more

Amazing and quick service! Don't pass up this small town until you've had their ice cream. The food is good and the price is reasonable. Very family friendly. I would recommend this place for all ages. read more

Definitely a place worth stopping at if you're passing by! For the past few years, they're kept true to their delicious ice-creams, great burgers, and friendly staff. The only complaint I had about my last visit there is that the girl working had very little idea of what she was doing, and seemed to lack general customer service knowledge, but I figured she was new, so it didn't bother me. read more

Food is good, but the ice cream is what you go here for. Take your time and look around at the gift shop. You will most definitely enjoy it! read more

Visited on the 2nd of July as we always wanted to check it out. Nice counter and uninspired staff. Ordered a sandwich and could have done a better job cooking it on my trucks exhaust manifold, no love went into that food. Small town place with big city prices. No need to go back. read more

Very good ice cream but also pricey. Did not care for the owners. Food was okay but will not go back!

Visited here today because it's been a rainy weekend and wanted to cheer up my 12 yr old daughter. I was here years ago and remember it was better. I had a Sam's club frozen angus burger that cost me $7.25. Shame on you. My hand formed Costco Organic Grassfed beef burger ( that I froze) are tastier than these. Sorry I wasted my money and tastebuds . Blah. My daughter's shake was good, but any amateur can make a chocolate shake. No wonder I end up cooking during My vacation. read more
