Live music on this Saturday afternoon which was a pleasant surprise. Busy place so this was a good sign. Sat at the bar and a lot of interesting options on the menu. I went with one of their signature dishes, the ham and pear crisp sandwich. Comes with fries and they were excellent. And their homemade ranch dressing is Yelplicious! The sandwich was good and the pear is a surprisingly good addition. Tasty all around. As I sat there I kept seeing these monster bloody mary's walking around. As I left I walked out a different way and saw the source of these drinks and what a cool concept. Largest toppings bar that i've ever seen. Incredible and it can't be missed!

It was pretty busy with how many people were in town, but we were able to immediately get seated at the bar. The bartender was extremely friendly and helped me pick out a cider I'd never had before which I thought was delicious! He knew I was trying to decide and poured me a sample of his favorite without me even needing to ask, and it was a great call. There's a certain cozy energy in this place with the dim-but-not-dark lighting that makes it a nice place to relax and enjoy some food and drink. I had the prime rib french dip and it was incredibly tender and flavorful. The next time I go back I'm going to have a hard time choosing between one of the many excellent sounding dishes on the menu and just getting this sandwich again!

They weren't able to do that with the burrata pasta due to the burrata ball on top which was completely fine! Both pasta dishes were tasty but the lemon pesto burrata blew me away. Every bite was absolutely incredible and it's such a unique dish that's hard to find somewhere else or replicate at home. I completely recommend giving it a try. The focaccia bread appetizer was also amazing! We added & paid for a few extra pieces to accommodate the size of our group and everyone absolutely loved it. The drinks were also really well done & strong without being overly stiff. They were really well mixed and tasty. Our server was so sweet and helped make the experience so special for us. I cannot wait to come back!

I'm not a big pasta person, but I could always go for pizza so we ended up trying a variety of items. We tried the cheese puffs and chicken wings from the happy hour menu. It went until 6pm and you can only order these items from that HH menu. Additionally we tried the wedge salad, and the hearth and honey pizza. It really intrigued me with the rosemary flavor. The waitress was training a new member and both of them were very nice and accommodating. They confirmed my curiosity on our pizza selection and they were not wrong. I'm a huge wing fan, but I'd say the wings themselves were over spiced - we both thought too much seasoning was used. The cheese puffs were really good, but I was hoping for more of a garlic cheese flavor. The pizza was 10/10 and that is the item that would get me to come back. Wedge salad not pictured as I dove right in. It was interesting - it was loaded with a lot of unknown flavors.

If you weren't hungry before, you will be now. The restaurant is clean, the background music is at a good volume and we were able to get a booth right away. The booths are a bit on the smaller side for four people. Our drink orders included mango lassi, glasses of white wine (heavy pours ), and sparking water. Every glass was emptied. Pairing with our drinks we ordered chicken 65, spice level 3, and Dahi Puri. The chicken 65 was delicious but at a spice level 3 it was the tippy top of my spice level. The Dahi Puri needs to be eaten in one bite. The shell is fragile and is filled with liquid - very good but not what we expected. We each ordered our own entree, but they are big enough to be shared. Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Shahi Korma, Chicken Tikka, and Chicken Makhani. All were ordered at spice level 3, except the Chicken Tikka. These were milder and easier for my Minnesota spice palette to handle. We also ordered multiple orders of regular naan and garlic naan. I appreciate that they served the naan and rice together instead of individual servings. With limited table space the fewer plates the better. We had plenty of leftovers for us all to take home. Overall this was a delicious dinner and I'd highly recommend!

Located by Loring Park and paid street parking only which is the inconvenient part of it. We had a party of 10 on a Sunday night and we got seated around 45 mins wait. The have 2 floors for dinner a private room(s) for parties. The first floor is very normal, no decoration or ambient. Looks like a regular bar restaurant dining area. But the second floor is decorated with plans and has been ambient so recommend to be on top if you can. They do have outside seatings on the second floor. They do blast the AC and it was quite cold. I think also because the vent was directly on top of where I was sitting. It was fully packed as well. This is a recommended family style restaurant so be prepare to share. The portions are actually small so if you wanted to, can do single portion. Some are prob not even 1 person portion like the curry. We ordered a variety of dishes from the menu. Appetizers: Laab seen and basil wings. I love basil wings and this tastes the same as the other 2 restaurants above. Laab seen was ok. Not sure if I'm a big fan. But will always recommended the wings. Papaya salad- when it came out, I thought it was a noodle dish. Have not seen papaya sliced into a thick piece like that? It's not crunchy because it is thin. It's an interesting spin to papaya salad but I prefer the original. I like the crunchy. Fried rice: egg and basil fried rice and pork fried rice. Nothing special between these 2. Red curry and yellow curry: comes in a small bowl. And DOES NOT come with rice (which is weird). It's curry so it should come with a side of rice included. Portion is small. Red curry has bamboo which made it had a weird taste to me here. I prefer yellow curry. Pad see ew - a decent-size portion. I think it had meat which is nice. Pad Thai- first impression is that's a lot of beansprout like it does not look presentable. Did not come with a protein. Did not come with a lime. It just looks bad. Taste is mediocre. But like, why so much beansprout? Thai tea: tastes like one you get pretty much at any restaurant so not bad if you want one? Overall, some good dishes and some not-worth-it dishes. Recommend adding rice to the curry at least even a small single serving? Or at least offer it free of charge for people who want it. I don't think it would break the banks

Wood + Paddle is located inside of the Royal, it's their hotel restaurant. On my first night in Minneapolis, I'd arrived to the hotel for check-in around dinner time. Not sure where to go and tired from the flight, I headed down to the lobby and walked over. When I asked if I could get a table for 1, she asked me if I would be comfortable with eating at the bar. It was a Sunday night, so I think she wanted to reserve tables for parties of two or more. I was fine with it, but I noticed there were quite a few empty tables. A few days later, I had lunch with a colleague here. We got seated at a table, and the service was really good. Our waiter was attentive and made sure we kept our lunch within our time requirements so we could get back to the conference without issue. The food was really good. They have a full sit-down restaurant, but there's also a separate grab-and-go coffee bar, which is what I've tried. I stopped in on a Wednesday afternoon and ordered one of their seasonal specials, the s'mores cold brew, but had it modified as an iced latte. It came topped with crushed graham crackers and mini marshmallows, which made for a cute presentation. I personally didn't taste much chocolate, though, so it wasn't my favorite drink I've had there. For working, there are high-top seats with easy access to outlets, plus free Wi-Fi, making it a convenient place to bring your laptop for a bit. If you use the Toast app, they also offer a $5 birthday reward! One thing to keep in mind is that Saturdays can get BUSY, especially during the summer when the Mill City Farmers Market is happening right next door. I've found that service can take a little while on Saturdays, so I wouldn't stop in expecting a super quick coffee if the market is in full swing. Overall, the coffee bar is a convenient addition to the neighborhood, and I love that you can either grab something to go or settle in with your laptop. The s'mores latte wasn't necessarily a winner for me, but I'd definitely come back and try another seasonal drink!

That drink was PERFECTION! We opted to split the burger as neither of us were starving, but were certainly in need of dinner. The burger was fantastic! We both absolutely loved the mix of the flavors. It came with a side of chips, tortilla chips that is, which was a little odd. They were certainly fresh and good, but also a very modest amount and tortilla chips were a bit of a strange mix. We were able to eat and get over to the show with time to spare. They certainly know how to navigate the preshow crowd. We would definitely be back in the future.
