After taking Ruben's advice from Sounds Good, I ordered a Grom system which he mentioned he stands by and installed many. I brought all parts to him I was told needed by Grom to do the install, hours later he calls me and the first thing he says as if to arouse anger is 'we don't have all the parts, I don't care if you're angry we're charging you full price' for 2.5 hours. Of course, that we take my trust and confidence away from dealing with them.
I called Grom and the technician there told me it shouldn't have taken that long to realize there was something missing (video board) on top of that, Ruben advised me a cable I brought was for a Toyota and not my car, when in fact it was to connect to the missing video board.
Upon arriving to the shop my car was sitting wide open with my key on the table and no one tending to the shop. I took up my key and looked in the car only to see Ruben had left various metal equipment and sharp tools on my leather seat without a cover, leaving marks on my seat and also the centre console, which they never offered to cover me for.
When I asked why he left my seat uncovered he said he was rushing to put it back together. Also arguing with me in the shop, making a scene about taking up my key then telling me I'm not welcome back. I never expected this lack of professionalism, he acted childish and prejudice being that I'm BIPOC, black to be exact, there's a difference between how they'll treat you, regardless of their response saying they're Latino and Asian. I wouldn't recommended dealing with him cause he will throw a temper tantrum to force you into accepting his terrible service as well as lack of care.
In their response about taking my key up, it's simple as I lost trust after the rude phone call I received from Ruben, then showing up to see the state they left my vehicle in, I thought to myself if they were present and caring for my vehicle they'd know where it is and it wouldn't be unattended.
And in no regard does a missing clip make it impossible to install the system so the excuse is irrelevant. They're piggybacking off of their ratings so they think they can deal with customers anyway they choose instead of with manners and respect, that's all I'm about. I came to have a job done and when they fail instead of apologizing it was a childish tantrum from Ruben who confessed to me he drinks too much at night, probably why he's so miserable. read more
