Custom mount beryllium tweeter with custom re-finished box

AMAZING Results! I bought 80% of the materials myself bc a lot of them are not your usual stuff (beryllium tweeters, Mobridge integrated 3in 1 amp that saves me the extra money I blew on the tweeters lol) and honestly, to save money I asked Ralph to just do a simple tweeter mount but they went above and beyond to do a beautiful custom mount without charging me an arm and a leg like other mainstream places. I was very happy with the installation and the tuning. Again the amp I bought it might just be the first couple of this 3in 1 integrated amps in Vancouver and their first ever but they took it in anyways and did an awesome job. Very happy with the result. Lee is excellent on customer service as well.

I was hoping to get some better info, and as well as Bill valiantly tried, I just heard too many "I don't know's"....look, i get that it's a high-tech world, and on one hand, I do appreciate honesty in not trying to BS your way out of my questions, but for a $1,000 Navigation Bluetooth system, just not something you want to hear, know what I mean? Wanted to know if my Blackberry could be synced, limited # of contacts stored, etc.---"I'm not sure, I don't know"....this is your job! Very basic... These guys have been here for decades---same location, so to me, that has to bode well. Especially with Best Buy/Future Shop also selling car/audio solutions... It's a nice boutique store, and more specialized stuff you won't fine elsewhere all under one roof: radar sensors, dashboard cameras, remote engine start systems, etc. These are all high-end, no entry level stuff here. He did advised to go to Kenwood's website, check out online reviews,....and certainly willing to wheel and deal, which I personally thought he was showing his cards too early, as I wasn't in the buying mode yet lol....List price was $1099 but said he could bring it down to $750...but by the time you add parts and labour, that's another $250, and assuming taxes are on top of that. One irk about this so-called touch system, is the INITIAL touch is still needed to answer an incoming call --- unless I set this to auto answer, which totally defeats the purpose on 2 fronts: 1) certain clients I don't want to answer lol 2) police can still issue tickets for 'using an electronic device'... But we are allowed to fidget with our radio, a/c?! And girls put on their makeup not just at red lights, but even when cars are moving? Go figure!

I am THRILLED by the service I got here. Ruben, the manager suggested a sound system and said I could expect a 20 to 30 percent improvement. It has modernized my car, the sound is SPECTACULAR, and I also have a back up camera and android auto. I would give these guys 7 out of 5 stars if I could! The workmanship is superior! My husband- who never likes anything- is so impressed by the work they did - he just keeps saying "Wow! They did a great job!" I came upon Wall Mount Tronics and was impressed by their website and the number of 5 star reviews. I gave them a call and spoke to Alberto who was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. I told him that I hadn't purchased a new TV yet and he advised that he could not only source one for me but was able to book me in for that Friday. When I decided on the model I wanted, I texted Alberto with the details and he got back to me immediately. Not only was he able to provide the model I requested, he offered me the next model up at a nominal price. Alberto showed up on time and performed the installation quickly and professionally. Once it was installed he showed me a few features and made sure everything was compatible with my current set up.  Alberto was respectful of my home and took care during the whole installation. Having my TV stop working was such an unexpected inconvenience but Alberto turned this whole experience into such a pleasant one. Look no further, you will not be disappointed with Wall Mount Tronics.

About three years ago, I had a stereo deck, front speakers/tweeters, an amp/subwoofer installed at…read morethe Burnaby location of Sounds Good Auto. I bought the Kenwood deck and installation kit from the shop but had previously purchased the other items. The installation came to about $1100, which I thought was a high price. The salesperson wasn't very friendly and had a bit of a "cool guy" attitude. In the end, I was satisfied with the installation work, but the deck was glitchy for all three years of owning it. I take it back because I didn't want to deal with the "cool guy" again. Fast forward to the present day. I bought a new car and wanted to install a subwoofer and amp that I had purchased. The amp came complete with an eight gauge wiring kit.  I decided to go to the Coquitlam location of Sounds Good Auto because I thought they might be a little more friendly than Burnaby. I brought in my car with the sub, amp/wiring kit for a salesperson named Mike to take a look at and give me an estimate.  He looked over the gear and belittled the amp and installation kit; he said the subwoofer was OK and the enclosure would do. Mike said that my eight gauge wire was cheap and not safe. I said I was OK with the installation kit that I had. The amp/installation kit's rating on Amazon.ca was 4.3 stars from 848 reviewers. There wasn't one review mentioning that the wires weren't safe or had reported any electrical problem. My sub was only 200 watts, so that wasn't a concern. Mike took me back inside to breakdown the installation costs. Even though I wanted to use my eight gauge wire, he added an eight gauge wire for $60 to the estimate. Next was misc. Shop materials that were totalling  $60. I didn't need any other materials. They were all in the installation kit. Here's the kicker. Mike said that it would take six hours to install my sub/amp at $120 per hour for the labour. He read out the total with taxes, and it came to $940.80 and asked if I wanted to book an installation time. I thought that he was joking, but he wasn't. His face was serious. My sub/amp is only worth around $300; I asked for a printed copy of the estimate.  I don't know if Mike was having a bad day, didn't like me, didn't want my money, or thought my intelligence is under average, but I left the shop baffled and felt insulted. I contacted two other professional installation shops with one quote of $300 and $350 from the other. Both shops quoted three hours for the labour, not six, which is ridiculous. I went to the first shop for the installation they used my installation kit without any concerns or objections. It's been one month now, and my car hasn't burst into flames or has had ANY fuses blown or other electrical problems. The sub sounds fantastic.  These rocket surgeons will try to sell you a trip to Mars, with a couple of days along the sandy shores of the moon. Make sure you ask for Mike in Coquitlam, and Reuben in Burnaby. These guys really know their stuff well, and will provide you with the utmost honest service. In closing, how did I get a stereo deck (which has a lot of wiring to be done), front speakers and tweeters, the same sub/enclosure plus a similar amp installed for $1100 and then my main man Mike, was trying to sell me a  $940 install for same sub/encloser and a similar amp for almost the same rate? It doesn't make any sense. Really! Many people take advantage of others that aren't familiar with some specific area of knowledge or subject. These salesmen enjoy  talking over peoples' heads with their garble,  to confuse customers to make them think they have to buy something or they'll have a big problem in the end. There needs to be some kind of standard in this type of business.  Please don't waste your money with Sounds Goods?, and do your research beforehand so that you don't become another victim.  Or... you can just throw your money away.

Just seems like an unfriendly fella. When leaving the store the first thing that came to mind was arrogant. Reading these other reviews it's seeming like a theme. Did not seem like he wanted me in his store being that I'm younger and don't have as much money to spend as these big ballers. I set up an appointment to demo some equipment the store had and wanted to inquire about some phono preamps without the promise of purchasing but then just felt kind of pressured to because from the vibe of it, seemed like he wouldn't be happy demoing his products without purchasing something (after purchasing, he seemed more open to allowing me to listen to stuff, but was still stand-offish). I love Hi-fi audio and told him I'd for my ears to learn different hi-fi systems as well as looking for stuff to purchase. Walked between different rooms comparing songs and everytime I left a room I just felt uncomfortable in the open areas like I wasn't wanted there, lots of one-worded responses when asking about the different systems, didn't see one smile on any of the employees faces. No thank you's for supporting their businesses or anything. I was listening to a song in the room with the Mcintosh system, he had the volume set to 90 and either the streamer or receivers or whatever set to %50... I had opened the door to check something out and he walked over without saying anything and turned it down to %10 and I said "sorry was that too loud?" and he said "no, %50 was is fine, just can't blast it too loud because these speakers have been sold"... Makes sense yeah, but why turn it down to %10 when that was the volume you had it set at? and why the passive aggressiveness... 1st time I went there a few months ago I didn't have an appointment and couldn't listen to anything which makes sense, mostly dealt with the old man who also didn't seem like he wanted to give me the time of day, second time was the taller dude who was just not pleasant at all. Lastly, the old Asian fella. As I was leaving, he was at the front desk, I was looking at the items a little bit and he must have been trying to make small talk or something but all that came out was "so what did you buy"? told him I got a preamp and he didn't really say anything. That wasn't a big deal but really? Along with your coworkers being douche bags that's it? I also said thanks, didn't get one back or even a "have a nice day" (didn't expect one back) and got out of there with a sour taste in my mouth. I'm already pretty discouraged from going into hi-fi stores being that almost everyone in the business come at you like bad boujie car salesmen. After this experience it's just that much more discouraging. Hi-fi salesman love to judge. You are not pleasant people and it shows. I love Hi-Fi audio and I am in love with a good conversation where I can learn about why someone is so passionate in something I also admire. I love that there are hardware and software that a music and movie experience to something more beautiful than it already is, but the people in it are ugly. Thank you for a terrible experience!
