I had one speech therapist (not at this clinic) tell me that my daughter had reached her potential with speech therapy services (which was devastating given she still had a significant lisp). I was referred to Smalltalk last May (2018) and from the first conversation with Holly Willis, I knew they were in it for the service of the child and this clinic was tremendously skilled. Holly listened to my concerns, sympathized with me and showed a genuine interest in what she could offer us in the form of therapy - it felt like she REALLY cared, not just business or trying to fit her into the schedule for the revenue. Holly really does care profoundly about every child she works with!! Holly paired my daughter with Trish because she felt it would be a good personality fit. Oh my goodness, was she so RIGHT!!!! Ms. Trish worked with my daughter consistently this past year starting at the very basic level and they clicked right from the start. Ms. Trish had to be very upfront with her sometime when she felt things were not progressing and she quickly got her back on track (this is HUGE, given working with a pre-teen is more challenging than when they are really little). My daughter made TREMENDOUS progress and I can honestly say that my daughter FINALLY does not have an articulation disorder!!!! EIGHT years of therapy and only ONE year with Ms. Trish and BOOM--- tremendous breakthrough and effective remediation! Why didn't I know about her earlier????!!!!! Ms. Trish was always available to assist with extra support via texts and have my daughter send her videos of her reading her homework assignment providing feedback right away. She changed things up as needed and was very flexible with our schedule. Trish showed a genuine interest and tender care of her both social/emotionally as well as helping her along the way gain the necessary skills to self-correct on her own and articulate with great confidence! The time and effort Trish spent with my daughter is priceless, she would do it in a heartbeat for yours too!! My daughter not only gained the confidence, support and lifelong skills, but she gained a friend and mentor. When I had a hard time finding someone who could take my 8-month year old son for feeding therapy, Kelly got us on her schedule. She was a huge relief during a stressful time. Over the next several months, Kelly worked with him weekly on both OT exercises and helping him improve his muscle structure in his mouth to learn to chew his food rather than thrust it out of his mouth (which you can imagine is very stressful for a baby starting solids). She was a calming and reassuring presence each week. She taught me exercises and techniques to use at home between sessions and was always available if I had questions or concerns (I haven't experienced that amazing level of support anywhere else for either of my children when they've needed medical care). She would send me details on what to bring for each session which made me feel confident too. She was flexible with which location we held our sessions which helped this working mother be able to get her son to the appointments. Thanks to Kelly's expertise we made huge strides and helped get my son back on track with his eating and be able to add more and more foods into his meals. He receives physical therapy 1x a week, speech therapy 2x weekly, and occupational therapy 1x weekly. Because of his special needs he has had numerous doctors and therapists throughout his short life, and I can say that we have truly found a home here. The staff and therapists are all very friendly and have always been really polite and understanding. They will work with you with regards to scheduling, and figure out the best options for services depending on the type of insurance coverage you have. (We have a high deductible plan, but we plan ahead and budget for medical expenses accordingly.) As a stay-at-home homeschooling mom, I am on a budget just like everyone else, but Beelieve's services are well worth it to me. My son's speech and clarity have improved so much, as well as his strength and balance. He still struggles with symptoms of his diagnosis, but the work he does while at Beelieve has helped to improve his confidence and stamina, and that trickles down into every aspect of his life! The owner, and main Physical Therapist, Joanna truly cares about her patients and how she can best improve their health and reduce the struggles or pain they may be dealing with. All of the therapists here make going to an appointment feel like playtime! Even after coming every week for 2 years, my son is excited to get up and come back! He works hard during his therapy time and earns stickers and smiley faces that he can later turn in for toys or temporary tattoos. I think the best part about Beelieve is that they really take the time to listen to me as a parent. This is false. They assured me that my insurance did cover Therapy went ahead and charged my cc in full every time without first submitting it to my insurance. I also spoke to the billing department, all of which they had promised me that they would be returning the cost of the therapy sessions given the lack of transparency and the fact that all therapy was was playing around with my two-year-old son for a 30 minutes charging me $95 for these sessions. When I called back they recused themselves of ever saying that they would actually refund me the therapy sessions, and stated that it was my full responsibility to pay it because my insurance had now declined that therapy sessions. Those very same sessions that they had previously assured me that my insurance did cover. In addition they will charge you a $275 initial fee. I was told they didnt know what pricing would be u til they put it through insurance, thats false bc the. The billing dept told me the $275 is a minimum out-of-pocket expense because they charge your insurance almost $1000 for that first initial session. Told me this of course all after the fact. My son got nothing out of these sessions and I just dropped over $500 for literally nothing. This place is a joke and a lie and crooks!! This is not a Place that I recommend to anyone! save ur money, You're better off just playing Miss Rachel on TV for free. Also the pictures of this location on yelp is not the actual location.
