The previous shop I was going…read moreto, a pretty big name, was a little unfriendly especially considering I was pretty much a regular customer and I wasn't buying a cheap system. I decided to YELP Cart Starters and it recommended Mobile Car Pro in Shrewsbury, I emailed Scott and the very next morning he called me to ask a few follow up questions and a short while later we booked an appointment for me to bring in my summer beater Miata the very next day. I arrived at 8:30-- the shop is in the back of the complex it's located in along with a Baseball camp and a dance studio- but it's clearly marked with signage so you can find where to go. I pulled in and they took my car right away. Service was very reasonable and I was on my way about two hours later. Great guy-- really happy with the result, he went above and beyond and took the time to explain how this new key fob works. Some things to know; the shop is located about 1/2 mile from anything useful, like coffee or breakfast. There is a Honey Dew up the road but you're taking your life in your hands if you try to walk Route 20 for that distance so go before. The waiting room is very sparse, there are a few interesting things to look at, and they have free Wi Fi that works great but unlike the other shop I used to go to there is not a lot there to entertain me while I wait. So keep that in mind, bring things to stay busy. A+ service, and the starter works great.

I had to call in favors from three different people just to make this work: one to drop me off with…read moremy truck that morning, another to lend me a vehicle to use for the day since mine was just sitting there untouched, and a third to drive me back to the shop, arriving just before 4 PM, to retrieve it. That's not something I could easily ask of anyone again. The owner acknowledged he'd seen my truck sitting there all day, but told me he'd expected the key to be dropped in a box with an envelope, something he never once mentioned to me. The installation had not been done. When I brought up my two calls and the voicemail, he checked his phone and claimed he had no record of them. Given that he already knew it was my truck, since we'd spoken twice by phone beforehand, it's hard to understand why it never occurred to him to simply call me back and ask where the key was, especially after seeing the vehicle sitting there untouched all day. As a business owner myself, I would never treat a customer this way. This cost me an unnecessary round trip and a full day, for a job that still wasn't completed. I can't recommend this shop.

I could not be more pleased with the work John and the team at JDK Auto Sound & Security performed…read moreon my 2020 BMW 840i. I came to JDK looking for a genuinely high-end, professionally integrated radar and laser system--not simply equipment added to the car. After a great deal of research and discussion with John, we ultimately went with the Escort REDLINE Ci 360c, including externally mounted front and rear radar receivers and a five-head laser-shifter configuration--three front and two rear. The installation is exceptional. What impressed me most was the attention to detail. The exterior components are remarkably discreet and integrated into the BMW in a way that looks intentional rather than aftermarket. Inside the vehicle, John positioned the Escort display immediately adjacent to the instrument cluster, where the information is easy to acquire without becoming a distraction. The control interface is accessible but neatly tucked away. That mattered enormously to me because the user interface was one of my highest priorities in selecting this system. This was not an inexpensive installation, and I did not expect it to be. When investing in equipment at this level, my priorities are quality, confidence, craftsmanship and knowing that the installation has been done correctly. JDK delivered on all four. I also appreciated John's willingness to discuss different systems and approaches with me rather than simply bolt in equipment and send me on my way. I did my homework, had strong opinions about what I ultimately wanted, and John worked with me to turn that decision into a very clean, professional installation. The finished product feels like it belongs in the BMW. That is exactly what I wanted. Five stars for JDK Auto Sound & Security. If you're considering a sophisticated custom-installed radar/laser system and care as much about the quality of the installation as the equipment itself, I would absolutely recommend talking with John. Outstanding work--and a very satisfied customer.
