I brought two cars in with issues. Before I brought them here I took them to Andrew's Toyota…read more Andrew's Toyota diagnosed one with a bad AC compressor ($1050 fix), the other car with a shorted wheel bearing that required a wheel hub remove and replace ($1200). The Family mechanic (TFM) diagnosed my cars with thr same problem. So to both of their credit they appear to be honest. That is my most important quality in a mechanic. Price wise TFM price for the AC compressor was like $50 more but my car was already there so I had them do it and it works great. The hub replacement at TFM was only $600 compared to $1200, not sure why it so expensive at Andrew's. This was a no brainer. As with my other car this one is running great. Professions I trust the least are dentists and mechanics. I've heard great things from TFM which is why I took it here, and I was not disappointed. I hope TFM becomes my David Puddy.

Well, there is, of course, but still.... I knew zero people here, so I was glad to learn that O'Reilly Auto Parts recommends mechanics, which is how I found these good people. I embarrassed myself (story of my life) by letting them know I was pretty sure it was the starter when they found it was, actually, the battery. Out with the old, in with the new, price was what I expected. Gal (former teacher) I spoke with in the office was a delight! They have a happy customer who will be back when necessary.

Fernando took the time to hear out my situation and was extremely responsive. Let me know he'd have to order the window and it would be in the shop today and he and his team would be able to install it today. Once I got the call and confirmed he had it, it took about a little over an hour to clean up the small shards and install the new window. Overall I'm very happy with the work and price point. Would come back for any window or stereo needs. One thing I'd add is that their new address is the following: 2808 W Forest Home Ave

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND RICK'S CAR CARE!!!…read more I was visiting from California for the weekend when I discovered a nail in the tire of my rental car. The rental company wanted to charge me for a tow and a full tire replacement, talk about stressful! It was a Saturday and most shops were either closed or too far away. I found Rick's Car Care on Yelp and saw they were listed as open until noon. When I arrived, there was a sign on the door saying they were actually closed on Saturdays. I decided to knock anyway, and I'm so glad I did! To my surprise, a gentleman named Jimmi answered the door. After I explained the situation, he graciously offered to take a look at my tire, despite being closed for the day. He quickly assessed the damage and was able to fix it with a simple plug. Not only did Jimmi go out of his way to help me, but he also treated me fairly and didn't try to overcharge me just because I was from out of town. The whole repair was fast, VERY affordable, and I was back on the road in under 10 minutes. Jimmi was an absolute lifesaver! His kindness and willingness to help a stranger truly made my day. Thank you again, Jimmi! I won't forget it!
