I would give zero stars if I could. I had my vehicles windows tinted for the first time at Stereo1One on June 27. Almost immediately, the tint developed small bubbles from dust/dirt under the tint, so I brought my vehicle back on July 6 to have it redone under their lifetime warranty. Unfortunately, the second tint job also had bubbles and scratches in the tint film, showing the same lack of quality workmanship. On July 13, I returned to request a refund and have the tint removed, but I was told there was no manager on duty and no one could help me. I had to come back again on July 20, only to be told they would not issue a full refund. Instead, they offered me a $200 refund if I agreed to keep the defective tint. After paying around $530 for the upgraded carbon tint, I wasn't about to accept paying hundreds of dollars for a tint job that had already failed twice. With no reasonable resolution offered, I agreed to let them tint the windows a third time under the lifetime warranty. When I returned to pick up my vehicle, they simply handed me my keys and immediately locked the doors for the day. I didn't even have the opportunity to inspect the work before they closed. Once I was able to inspect it, I found additional scratches in the tint film, meaning the third attempt still wasn't done correctly. It even looks like lighter or different colored tint, which makes me believe they put the downgraded standard tint on. Since June 27, I've had to make four separate trips to this shop because they have repeatedly failed to provide a quality installation. A lifetime warranty means very little when the same defects keep happening and the solution is simply to keep redoing the same poor work. What disappoints me most isn't just the poor workmanship--it's how the situation was handled. After multiple failed installations, I expected the company to stand behind its work with a reasonable resolution. Instead, I was offered only a partial refund if I accepted a defective product, and after the third installation I wasn't even given the chance to inspect the work before the shop closed. I expected professional workmanship and customer service, especially after spending hundreds of dollars. Instead, I was left with repeated bubbling & scratches in the tint film, multiple wasted trips, a denied refund request, and a third tint job that still wasn't right. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Stereo1One. read more

This has been my go to place for automobile electronics and mainly remote starter's because of the life time warranty. My last one needed a new part but the company went out of the business so I upgraded to another brand with a life time parts and labor warranty. My remote start stopped working so I brought it over with my original receipt and the fixed it at no charge because the unit lost programming and the remote just needed to be reprogrammed, that's what I call service. They are in a weird location now between MC Donald's and and Lake Ford in the mini golf/amusement spot on the side. read more

Went there to get my remote key start & right after I got out the SOMEHOW gear shifter of my car broke FRESHLY out of the shop (it would shift without me pressing on the break), I called them & they told me that it was just apart of the remote setup, I went over to my car dealership and they told me it was not normal for that to be happening and it was a huge safety risk. I had stereo one remote start removed my crime stopper remote and install a viper 7857V. which didn't have the range advertised. I decided to have it removed and reinstall a new Compustar system, the new installer showed me the lack of professionalism of the last install and removal of the old crime stopper system. They had used the OBD data plug to install the new system, which caused an engine fault on the dash. They left numerous dead ended wire from the old system. They didn't seem to any pride or professional morals, that's probably why the viper installation didn't have the range advertised. I had it removed and a new Compustar installed, Don't waste your time or money by using stereo one to install a remote start! read more

They installed an amp and subwoofer in my car. They gave me the wrong subwoofer and the amp was installed incorrectly.

They did my tinted windshield and they didn't do a good job on my front windshield, I waited 3 hours just for one tinted. And I am very disappointed with whole result. All I can see is opening cuts on view mirror and tiny bubble start to form. The owner told me I can bring it for a redo, but I do not trust them to go with that company and let alone will not let them touch my vehicle ever! that make me waited 3 hours for one tint. NEW AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST IF YOU VALUE YOUR VEHICLEwhen I got home there was a scratch that made a dent in my 2023 Honda accord and I called the owner Moe immediately! This is after returning it to fix an obvious piece of debris that Moe saw from the outside looking into the tent in my driver side window from his tent job. He went straight into denial mode, but agreed that he would look at the tape and he would get back to me the next day. When I got there the next day, he said the tape showed nothing and said that I couldn't prove it. I asked can I see for myself. After and long hassle going back and forth about semantics, and him accusing me of accusing him, he told me to come into and wait til he got the tape ready. He keep tell me it take time for the video to load. I waited in the lobby for about over an hour until he came out to bring me back. As we were walking back he said nope, nothing before we watched the video together. As I stand and watch the video it was done before it started! A 3-4 minute video!! My car was in his possession for 45 minutes for him to take off and reapply his lousy tent job. I asked where is the rest of the video and his was that it only records on motion. My car was in a location where I couldn't even see them do any work to my car at all. Moe and I definitely didn't see them take off the tent and reapply it. But his stance was that I couldn't prove it. He left to handle some business and told me he'd be right back. I never seen him again!! He left me to talk with one of his workers. I'm totally disgusted at how Moe handled this situation. Totally bad business! Bet the greedy owner is proud that his bottom line didn't take a hit. I came to get a tent job and left totally angry and disgusted with my experience at stereo1one!! Now it's gonna cost me more money..... and you say nice try as if I need you for anything!! So anyway I had a particular great money making summer last year so I thought hey what an amazing tribute to my deceased father to put in what I thought and what I paid almost 5k for in order to show reverence to my deceased love one.. so I called up moe to have him Instead I got an amp that blew up within the first week that I bought it and they installed it so from then on I had to bring my car back on there separate occasions so they could fix what wasn't done properly in the first place.. I have had all of my cars 4 in total into Stereo1one for remote starts and for tinted windows. I have been going to this place for over 12 years and every time they have done a great job. Very professional and nice to deal with. They explain everything after the install as well. They do great work and I had an issue with my remote losing connection to the alarm and they fixed it right away and did not charge me a dime. They have tinted all of my cars and I never had any issues. These guys rock ! They did an excellent installation in my F150 and it sounds fantastic. The custom made sub box thumps hard. I had an issue after some maintenance was performed by the dealership and an input was inadvertently unplugged behind the dash. I brought it in, they diagnosed, and fixed on the spot for no charge. I've had high end stereos installed in all of my trucks since the 80s and this shop is the easiest to work with and provided the cleanest installations I've ever had. I have been going here for many years. The owner is a great guy and very accommodating, so why 2 stars? His installers are horrible! I had a 1 year old car when I went there just had a speaker upgrade and amp added. I ended up with broken plastic covers on several parts of the interior that are now held on with double sided tape. Scratches on multiple surfaces on the dash and console as well as multiple trips back for poor sound. I hope he improves his installation crew because he is a great guy with great prices. read more

Was looking for a remote start for my car and a friend referred me to Stereo One where she had hers done. I had done my research prior and beside asking around where people went and who had horror stories, I check with the BBB and found that Stereo One was a very reputable family owned store that did exactly what I was looking for. On their website I was able to send them a request based upon my car make and model and received a quote back within minutes from Moe, of what it would cost me to bring mine in. I was impressed. When I stopped in the store to see exactly what I would be getting, Moe was extremely helpful explaining the differences in the multiple units and brands they carry for remote car starters. I came back a different time to make my appointment and got in right away. When I dropped my car off it was super simple, dropped off and 2 hours later it was done and ready for pick up. It's been about 3 weeks now and I am so pleased with my new toy. Stereo One did a great job and I feel they were pretty honest in not trying to sell me things I didn't need like other places like, big box, Best Buy who wanted to charge me over $100 more for the same starter and charge me for options that are not even part of my car BUT wouldn't remove them off the price because they didn't apply,. Be patient, do your homework, check the BBB and be confident you should get good service from Stereo One, I did. read more

WARNING!!! I would look else were if your trying to get any work done or basically come at your own risk. If you come here, please do a walk around and take pictures of your vehicle.They dented my driver door and is denying it. They told me since I wrote a bad google review on them, I can't see their camera footage and I can't come down there. Also, the Manager/co-owner told me to give him two weeks and he could work something out with the owner because they have a body shop. Why would you say that if you didn't damage my vehicle? They are forcing me to take them to court and told me they have top notch lawyers and is going to counter sue me. I'm going back and forth with them through BBB right now and will post the report publicly when this is over. I've been a long time customer and this is how they treat me. They won't just own up to the fact that they damaged my vehicle but, instead are blaming me basically stating that I'm delusional and I probably didnt notice the dent before. If you take care of your vehicle, you notice everything. So make sure you have footage of your vehicle beforehand, otherwise you will be going through this stressful process like me. To add, one of my windows have dust in the tint and they were supposed to redo it but, now they don't want me to come down there so they did crappy work, mad because I made a google post and now they wont correct it or own up to the damage on my vehicle. Also they don't tint to the edges of some vehicles so it looks tacky. No need for me to make up stuff on this place, I've been here alot and this is the first bad experience and they are taking me through hell for something they did. I'll update this post with the final outcome. Until then, stay tuned and make sure you check everypart of your vehicle before handing it over to them. Also, the owner is going to reply to this post and make up stuff to make me seem like the bad person but, I haven't done anything to them. I just want reimbursement for damages to my vehicle. I paid over 2 Grand for a head unit, amp and box installed. They cut a large hole in the top of my battery cover. They jacked the power for the head unit with a wire into the side of a fuse instead of wiring it to the ignition. The amp wasn't grounded correctly. I recommend going somewhere else. read more

Bunch of liars work there! They've installed a start remote on four of my vehicles in the past and every time I installed the same start remote model. So, they charged me $150 for labor and $30 for bypass. Today I came in with my fifth vehicle and they charged me $200 ($150 for labor and $50 for bypass). The guy told me that they never charged a $30 for bypass in the past, so this liar ripped me off. I won't ever come to this place again. So, avoid this place! read more

They're not air bubbles. They're dust particles, which is even worse and guarantees the tint will need to be redone. Trash.

We have a 07 WRX that we wanted to have a cd player put in. The only good thing about this place was the price. We received our car back after several hours and we found chips in our stereo casing. Then the small box located under the cd player unit was bowed and did not properly sit. You could see inside to the wires and various pieces of metal and plastic. DO NOT RECOMMEND! read more

Called for an installation quote, they said it would cost $55 if I bring the kit and wiring harness. Drove there with 2 kids in the back seat for 30 miles and the guy says it is 65 not 55. They have 25% off coupon. When I mentioned that one of the owners said it is already included in the price. Stay away if a person lies to your face. I went to Stereo1 for tinting and questions regarding my Levison sound system...which nobody else in the area seemed to understand anything about. The staff was awesome, my tint ROCKS and LO AND BEHOLD I did not have a blown speaker as I was told by Lexus. The guys here were nice enough to take a look at it (no charge while car was there for tint) and found that a speaker cover was just a little loose. They fixed it for me and I'm thrilled! The tint is gorgeous, prices and service on point. These guys are talented and professional. I shopped around prior and did not feel comfortable at other places. You can trust these guys... It can be hard, especially for us women, to feel ok asking questions but everyone was great at Stereo1. I'm going to be a lifer! read more

Before i discuss the problems Ive had here, I have to be fair and admit I had been here twice in the past and had no problems. The first time was to get a cd player installed and the second for speakers in my door panels. Both jobs were done well and at a decent price. But the latest time I went here the experience was horrible. I came in to get two 12 inch subs and box with an amp, and also two tweeters in the front of the car installed while disconnecting the tweeters I currently had. The subs, box and amp are very nice but the tweeters have been a disaster. Let me explain. The day the job was done I received my car back and i immediately noticed that the old tweeters were still intact and playing sound while the new tweeters had no sound coming thru them at all. I took the car back and after another 30 minutes they brought it back out and said it was finished. A short while later I noticed the same problem was happening. They said they fixed the problem when in actuality they didnt change anything. I was busy the rest of the week working but the following week I brought the car back in and told the manager about the problem. He said he would take care of it. I sat in the store for at least an hour and a half before they even pulled my car into the work area. After another hour I got my car back only to later realize that they fixed only half of the problem. The tweeters on the right side are working exactly how I want but the new tweeter on left still isnt playing sound and the old tweeter(partially blown) is still playing. I have decided I have had enough of their mediocre service and regardless of them being willing to work on it free of charge I refuse to go back to Stereo One. I recommend this shop ONLY if you are low on funds and are looking for the decent prices. Do NOT expect quality work. I would definitely shop around before going here and even then It may be better to buy the equipment from them and have a different company install it. April 2015. read more

I had a remote start put in my SUV. The people there were so knowledgeable about the car starter and the different types and features. They didn't try to upsell me in the slightest, I told them what I was looking for and they sold it to me. I waited for my SUV to be done so I had an opportunity to see their interactions with a number of customers. They were very professional with all there customers whether it be concerning a stereo, amps, starters or just needing information on what was available. There estimate for how long it would take was spot on, and I was out of there well within the time they quoted. I like dealing with them and thought they were reputable and honest enough that I had a remote starter put into my wife's car a week later. Again, great customer service from these guys! Had a button on the key fob controller for my wife's Murano get punched into the body of the fob. The car no longer could be remotely unlocked. Luckily, we discovered this at home, and used the provided backup controller. I took the broken controller to the 27th street store, where I was told, if I took it to their 84th street location, they might be able to fix it, and if not, had some new ones in stock. He called ahead for me and when I arrived at the 84th St store, they knew what I needed. Turns out, they were able to fix my controller in about 15 minutes, and at less than half the price of a new one. Sure, they could have said, "To bad. So sad; you need to buy a new controller." , but they didn't. They took the option that was best for me, and in the long run, best for them.
