But they have the nice hard plastic cups that one can insert their straws into. After visiting and trying ice cream shops all along the East Coast during our vacation, Carl's still stands out as a true gem. The quality, tradition, and experience are every bit as special as I remembered. Thank you for continuing to create memories for generations of families. They've been in business for over two generations, and all of the ladies who work there are extremely friendly and they go above and beyond to provide outstanding customer service! I'm 70 years old, and if I were younger I would love to work there. They're doing it "ALL right" to still be in a thriving bakery business in our struggling times. I get my holiday orders in early, and once you become a regular customer you'll understand why! They work endlessly to make sure that they have taken care of their customers wants and needs long before Christmas Eve. They close the bakery from the afternoon on Christmas Eve, and they stay closed until after the New Year! We all realize how important it is for their staff to enjoy the holidays with their own families and friends, so we make sure that we're set with our bakery orders and needs before Christmas Eve. We'll be in line and happily waiting for them to open their doors again after the New Year!
