I came to Vickie with a lot of emotional baggage to unload. Childhood trauma, depression, anxiety,…read moreand relationship problems. She has been amazing in helping me work through my issues and I'm doing a lot better. She is a fantastic listener and offers realistic and honest advice. She does a good job of discussing difficult matters with the necessary gravity and makes me feel very comfortable. At no point have I felt like I've shocked or bewildered her with the sometimes terrible things I talk about having happened in my life. I don't know how to really phrase that other than she is adept at reading and responding well to my emotions. I really appreciate her help and highly recommend her.

Wish this was around when I was needing treatment. I work here now and am so grateful to be apart…read moreof this place. The staff is wonderful and the facility itself is cozy, warm, and welcoming. Redpoint offers group therapy, individual therapy, a full-time doctor who can help with medications, yoga therapy, art therapy, and community events. If you or someone you know needs support for drug or alcohol abuse or addiction, this is the place to call. Even if Redpoint isn't the right fit, the leadership knows how to make a great recommendation for somewhere else!

When I reached out to RedPoint for mental health support, I was met with an immediate violation of…read moremy rights. Tonya Ramirez told me outright that no service dogs were allowed -- a clear breach of federal law under the ADA. When I calmly educated the staff on service dog protections, rather than acknowledging the error and moving forward, the situation escalated in a way that felt punitive. Ashley converted my straightforward intake into an in-person interrogation-style interview. Taylor then withheld permission for Ashley to schedule my actual intake appointment, pushing my care back two full weeks. For someone seeking mental health support, two weeks is not a minor inconvenience. It can feel like an eternity. What troubles me most is the question this raises: if a facility cannot follow well-established federal disability law, one of the most basic legal protections afforded to people with disabilities, what confidence can patients have that other standards of care are being upheld? A mental health facility should be a place of safety, dignity, and compassion. What I experienced was the opposite. I cannot in good conscience recommend RedPoint to anyone seeking professional mental health care in Longmont.

By the time Dr. Thomas was assigned to do our PRE, we had already been through a very thorough CFI…read more The children's father requested a PRE because he was unhappy with the CFI report and was hoping to have the PRE 'overturn' the recommendation of the CFI allowing relocation. He and his attorney requested Dr. Thomas. I read reviews that warned of a bias towards men even in cases of DV. My attorney said I shouldn't be too concerned about a couple bad reviews, and advised it was likely that it was a disgruntled person that lost her case. I am here to tell you, in spite of Dr. Thomas' evaluation, I did NOT lose my case. At this time the children and I are doing extremely well and they are thriving. Her report was biased towards the children's father. His empty promises and what is best 'in most cases' weighed more than the facts. My words were twisted and manipulated even to the point that in several instances his bad behavior was deferred onto me as if I was the one behaving poorly. Her report was also supposed to give a professional opinion regarding the relocation. It was completely inconclusive - it had provisions for both staying and relocating, but no opinion (which is what we paid for) as to which option was truly in the best interest of these children in this case. In the end - I spent several months and paid several thousand dollars for NOTHING. Her "services" were a waste of time and money, and the report is not worth the paper it was printed on! I agree 100% with Julia D's post on 11/15/14 - victims beware!

Initial Review: I removed a former review, but finding it wise to put it back up for any females…read moreseeking a healthy therapeutic connection with this particular Dr-- the 2nd mentioned. The first therapist seemed to be undergoing a serious emotional burnout or fallout, and boundary-blurring issues- so I, myself, had to pause those grief counseling sessions (scary altho I did gain a few key positive takeaways and that is now my possession, not the Psychologist's). Finding a good counselor who has compassion for clarity and the grief I was dealing with is hard enough, but my experience here was incredibly frustrating. The subsequent psychologist, whom I saw--a male practitioner via video, who operates intentionally, internationally Out of the country-- the care was Utterly Disconnected. He helped with a few dream interpretations, clinically (not spiritually), and instead of listening, he relied on Rigid, Robotic clinical check-boxes (my experience and how impressive, Dr. ____ '-)....). As well, his academic Jargon like 'cognitive dissonance' really didn't apply! (Not quite, Doc. I know my values, know who I am, nor do I feel guilty when my heart/mind deviate because I've a Deep ability for self-control and self-awareness-- important for clients and is my direct advice. You be self aware when opening your mind/heart to any therapist!). He seemed to have problems connecting to me, anyway, and I was intially concerned he wouldn't connect easily with women, which was my initial concern). My personal conclusion is he Miscalculated due to implicit Bias. I'm talking highly educated psychologists vs. compassion and being Human which he obviously did not have toward Me anyway! PhD doesn't equal character, connection, compassion or high emotional intelligence! No Thank You! What I Would add is that this guy had an apparent, uncontrollable orbital (around the eyes/muscles) twitch. This in itself shows 'cognitive dissonance,' like he was fighting a feeling or a thought or was quite nervous (wink)...if you think about it. So I could surmise that his terminology was actually the projection of this clinician (is that as human as it gets?). As well, the clinic's administration also leaves a Lot to be desired. They were soo disorganized- telling me one counselor was not available, all slots filled; then, suddenly, there were 5 slots open randomly. Give us a Break! If you are a woman looking for intuitive, Respectful, ethical and Genuinely Connected care, avoid the international telehealth provider(s) on this roster. I'm all for counseling in any situation to any degree! It shows emotional intelligence and health to pursue & receive it & thereby gain from it; although now, I'm more on the cautious side because in straightforward honesty, Psychologists Can Be Weeeiiird! Yikes! Watch for the "weird" ones and discontinue as needed. Remain self-aware, Know and maintain your own boundaries. Never allow any psychologist or XMan-Psyshe-Dissector superpower to go anywhere mentally/emotionally with you unless he or she explains precisely what they're doing, which the 1st Psychologist Did Not, while asking questions that didn't entirely pertain to what I hired them for doing. A strange experience despite the take-aways. NOTE: Please keep in mind that this Practice seems more interested in their own financial gain to protect their revenues over patient safety. That's a one-star- and a detractor from any healthy therapist there.
