My husband and I did the 1 hour couple message and it was great. Wiki and the other girl were so good and very professional. Wiki was always asking me how am feeling to make sure that she is not going so hard. We got a nice discount from Groupon but the lady there told me that next time she can honor the same price of Groupon and to pay them directly. read more

This place gave me one of the most amazing and wonderful experiences I have had. Channa is a true healer. Her energy work and intuition is absolutely remarkable. She is so in touch with Inner/outside energies. She understands how peoples energies can effect the body and she truly knows how to get rid of the bad and infuse with positive. The vibrations bowls/sabat and other techniques she used not only healed me from being sick but helped my back/shoulder which was in so much pain. Took it from an 8 to a 2 in pain scales. If your feeling stuck, blocked, negative or down you need to come to Soul Awakenings for a complete change in your life Channa is absolutely amazing in every way!! Thank you so much for your help read more

I was driving by this establishment and noticed the front store signage. I was so intrigued and wanted to know more about reiki and the art of sound bath. This was my very first time time doing sound bath mediation at Soul Awakening. It was surreal to feel the vibration through my soul.. It certainly calmed my body and mind with deep relaxation. It was quite an experience and thankful that I've tried it. read more

I agree with some of the other reviews, the venue is not as impressive as some other places, and it was not the easiest to find but it was a good massage and worth the price. I think the Massage Therapists name was Bunnet, she escorted me to the room told me to undress and get under the sheet, she returned a few minutes later, asked if I had any medical issues and if ok to walk on me, but she did not check the pressure throughout the massage but it was ok, it could have been a little firmer. Nice technique on arms, hands, shoulders, back, etc. They use tables instead of pad on the floor but the room was a little cold, and the table was not heated. I was offered water at the end. Exactly 1 hour. I got the $48 special for 1 hour deep tissue/Thai stretching combo massage on the 1st Thursday of the month during the Laguna Beach Art Walk. Great price! Free 90 minute validated parking garage under the establishment. Located right off PCH. read more

Got the Groupon deal for a couples massage with my boyfriend. The two masseuses were welcoming; my masseuse asked me if I had any injuries or anything before the massage. They used virgin coconut oil which felt very soothing (and it's good for your skin)! I like that she told me to let her know what pressure level I wanted, making sure I would be comfortable. Later on, she used hot stones on me, which I never experienced until now. The hot stones were my favorite part of the massage because they helped me relax the most. It was at a good temperature level for me (but not for my boyfriend LOL), so I would only recommend hot stones if you're not too sensitive to heat. She also massaged my head towards the end, which left my hair oily (because of the coconut oil lotion) and feeling dirty/messy.. but the head massage did make me feel more relaxed. Also, if you decide to give tip, it's a minimum of $10 per masseuse. read more

The place is so comfortable, and gorgeous. Vicky worked on me for 90 minutes and my body is a thick one, she had me stretching and moving in ways I haven't in some time. 20 stars read more

Yesterday My girlfriend and I went for a couple massage after the massage was over, one the girls who massaged us followed us in the hallway and asked for more money after we tipped her! she was very rude and forceful and angry and wouldn't let us leave until we paid her more money! felt like we are being robbed and made us uncomfortable and ruined the whole experience . It was an awful experience just be aware of that when you go there I live in Laguna Beach myself and will tell people about this as well.I get a lots of Thai massages in different places and this was the first time I encountered this behavior. You can get a good Thai massage in other Thai massage places. read more

My husband and I wanted a massage so we decided to try this place out which is down the street from us. They got us in later in the evening which was perfect. Both massages were great. Exactly what we needed. They asked which areas we were most concerned about and they did a great job paying attention to those areas. We will be back. read more

My first time today using a Groupon. Was fairly easy to park, when I left I got a validation for 2 hours. The place is truly an oasis. I had cold symptoms and was looking for relief. My groupon included hot stones which really helped. My massage therapist applied just the right pressure and I left with cleared sinuses and more energy. I plan on coming back! read more

Fantastic massage. Channapassorn a.k.a. Lily is incredible. And what a cutie! Would recommend her to the most difficult to please. Made another appointment! read more

STAY FAR AWAY! Dirty, creepy! I felt violated. Boyfriend booked couples massage on a groupon. They talked him into paying more for feet and hot stones. The floor was dirty old Dixie cups with lipstick laying around- felt like we were in a "massage parlor". I love massages even mediocre ones- I kept my eyes open the whole time counting the minutes until it was over. I'm sure I had a beginner too- she DROPPED SCALDING STONES ONTO MY SPINE! Twice!! No Thank You! I'll stick with my 30.00 Lake Forest Massage place so clean and professional! read more

Channa is an amazing healing therapist. She is very in tuned with the issues you may have going on in your body and with your chakras. There is a great Groupon out for the body scrub and light massage as well as a 1 hour massage with the hot stone lava rocks. I have had many of the other therapists there and they all are very conscious of the amount of pressure being applied. I have been coming here for almost 5 years and I am always so pleased with the service I get. Thank you Bay Thai Massage for helping me feel better in my body and within my mind. The store is right across from the beach so getting the ocean breeze when you exit the building is so refreshing after the massage. I had a healing massage today and I left the office thanking God for his blessings. read more

We came into town for the weekend and came across this massage place. This is without a doubt THE BEST massage I have ever received. Leann (my massage therapist) was absolutely amazing!!!! She walked on my back, kneeled on my hamstrings, beat the crap out of me, stretched me, applied hot stones and hot towels... it was spectacular. I will, no joke, drive 4 hours to come get a massage from her. I will be back and if I could have given this place 10 stars, I would have. AAAMMMMMAAAAAZZZZZZIIIIIINNNNNNNGGGGG!!!!! read more

I GOT ROCKED. In a good way. There was no better way to start a five year anniversary of marriage than coming to Sawadee for a good ol' spanking. The wife and I got a tandem massage for $120. Booked for an hour and they spent 1:15 on us. I had never had a Thai massage before and I was delightfully surprised by the techniques used. They focused a lot on my legs and I got all twisted up and stretched. It felt SOOOOO GOOOOOD. :) A word of caution: If you've never had a Thai massage before, prepare to be put in interesting positions that make you feel a bit vulnerable. They also massage in spots that other traditional massages may look over. Just trust your masseuse and enjoy getting things rubbed and twisted in ways you never thought were possible. I spend hours everyday on my feet and this was the perfect remedy to achy legs and tired feet. Price is ridiculously affordable for what you get. I'm hooked and can't wait to get back! read more

The business name has changed to Bay Thai Massage. My sister-in-law and I are in Laguna Beach and went in for 1-hr massages 2 days ago. We were both surprised at what a fantastic experience it was. Though the venue isn't impressive-- the back of the Village Faire shops-- there is free parking in the back. More importantly, they offer a terrific 1-hr combo of Thai massage and oil massage, and use a hot towel to wipe off oil after working on each section of the body. We each had our own room and a massage table. Unlike my other experiences wearing loose fitting clothes for Thai massage, this one uses only a towel for coverage, though in a private room there's less concern for modesty. The women were clearly very experienced and attentive, checking in a few times about pressure and areas to focus on. We felt like we were floating on air walking out. Highly recommended! read more

I'm so surprised that there aren't more reviews for this place. I'm gonna make sure that my review makes up for that. Unfortunately for the owners of Sawadee Massage, I've never been accused of being eloquent... I just came from getting a combo massage a couple of hours ago. The woman who did my massage told me her name, but I was butt naked and zoning out on the massage table at the time. I wasn't going to remember nothing! She started the massage off by standing and walking on my back. No one's ever walked all over me before, but I really liked it. I guess it was a good thing that the ceilings were low! The actual massage was excellent; I feel totally relaxed now. At the end, my masseuse stretched me out, as is standard for Thai massage. My body was moving in directions I didn't know it could! I was there for an hour, and it only cost me $50. That's the cheapest massage I've ever received. I tipped well ($20) and promised to be back. At that price, you can't go wrong. I can't endorse Thai massage enough. It is by far the best massage I've ever received. Everyone else is a pretender. Thai massage is the truth! read more

I try to get a massage a few times each month and Bay Thai is now my #1 preferred location in Laguna Beach, which is also the town where I live. Great deep tissue, awesome hot stones, a taste of stretchy Thai - all masterfully done, with appropriate strength and great sensitivity. Enya asked for feedback on her level of touch just enough times to where I felt cared for, but not that my focus was disturbed - I could float and enjoy. When I can afford it, I'll be coming here at least once per week. (Maybe once a day...) read more

I tried this place twice in the last month with two different masseuses, and both time were great. Ms. Pita was excellent, professional and knew exactly what she was doing. My whole body was sore from working out, and after getting the massage, I felt back to normal the next day. The place is small, hole in the wall, but the massage is amazing. This is probably the most authentic Thai massage you can get. Will definitely come back. read more

I bought the Groupon for a couples massage which includes hot stone massage and Thai stretching in a private room. The hour long full body massage was one of the best I've ever had and staff was very kind and considerate. My husband and I made appts for today at 11:30. We originally requested appts at 12:00, but they asked if we could come at 11:30. When we showed up, the massage therapist seemed surprised and said, "Oh yeah, you have appointments." She had to call her boss because the other therapist didn't show up. She asked if we could come back another time. I said we were from Riverside and we were going home after the massage. She asked that we come back in a half an hour. We waited outside. We went back in at noon, and she said the other therapist is not answering her phone calls, so she was going to have to turn us down. We definitely were not happy. That is such bad business! We won't be returning. read more

Best massage ever. Last year my husband and I had 90 minutes couples massage - the massage included hot stones massage and overall I left like my whole body was worked on and stretched. There was no time wasted to change poses and when the therapist moved from one body part to another, constant skin contact. This is what I lacked in other massage places. I recently purchased as a gift for my husband for his bday. I will be back soon. read more

I had planned a massage somewhere else and they canceled me last minute. Disappointed, I called Bay Massage and they were able to accommodate me immediately. The place is small but serene as you enter and the room was well appointed. As for the massage, it was amazing - one of the best if not the best massage I have ever had. Traditional Thai style with a lot of body pressure including hands, forearms, fingertips, knees and feet (walking on my back). Lots of stretching and great deep muscle penetration. I opted for the 90 minute massage and it was so worth it. Hot towels, great moisturizer lotion. I was so very relaxed when I left. This place was very nice. It's not a place to hang out and drink cucumber water and teas. It's about the massage and as for that they really exceeded expectations. Thanks and I'll be back. read more

Great massages. It's not a grand spa or anything, but their staff do a really good job! And for a reasonable price and often can squeeze my husband and I in at the last minute for couples massages. read more

My boss got me a gift certificate for Christmas for this place for a much deserved massage. I was so looking forward to it. I called ahead to make an appointment and to ensure it hadn't expired. When I showed up they refused to accept the gift certificate that was pre paid for saying that they have new owners now so they could not accept it. (Worth over $100) not only did they waste his money but It's ridiculous that I called ahead to ask and told them I had an older certificate. Instead they made drive all the way to Laguna Beach only to refuse to accept the gift certificate. If you are taking on responsibility of a company including name, location & ownership of that company then why wouldn't you honor the gift cards issued? I am very disappointed and although I get massages often will never come here again as a result of this experience. read more

Its hard to put a correct rating on this place! Got a couple massage. Expected a fancy and spacious space but ended up in a dark and old room with very retired look and decoration. Very crowded space for a couple massage. But with all that said, the massage was great but I don't think we will go back. If they redo their decoration and open up the space I will be there again. read more

I have to say this place went above and beyond for my back pain. Bella was THE BEST! She opened up my entire back and really was able to walk after one session with her. Beyond grateful for her. Thank you will definitely be back when I'm in Laguna ! read more

My second review and I'm hoping that people take the time and read these reviews. I am so happy to have found this place. I'll make it short and sweet, it's the place for me. With all the broken bones and taxed muscles and joints from racing motocross I was a wreck for quite a while. I don't have insurance so taking care of myself can get expensive ya know!? I made a schedual with the technician and I have been committed to her appointments ever since. I want to scream to everyone, take care of yourselves and give the New Bay Thai massage a chance. You'll feel good when you get one or two sessions but your going the feel amazing when you stick to a schedual and just keep going. I'm 54 and I feel amazing, thanks New Bay Thai I hope this helps!! read more

This place is amazing! Vicky and Lee Ann were our massage therapists and gave us a very relaxing and thorough couples massage. I highly recommend the hot lava stone treatment as well. Took my best friend here for a birthday massage and it was by far one of the best massages I've ever had. They stretched me in ways I never thought possible. The deep tissue massage really helped with some upper back knots that I had as well. Very calm & relaxing. Great hidden gem in Laguna Beach! read more

Oh a whim, I decided to schedule a couples massage for our anniversary trip. I called and she preferred I pay her directly rather than pay through Groupon, which was totally fine. We have never had massages before, but we both loved it. It was very relaxing and felt great. They sent me pictures of the location to help me find it. The numbers don't go in order, so just keep looking for it (second floor). We will return on our next trip to Laguna! read more

I've had issues with my neck for a year and attended physical therapy. I was referred to acupuncture next, but I hate needles. I saw this place on Groupon and decided to give it a try. I had Rita I believe and she was really strong, but knew exactly what to do. After an hour on the table i felt like I was ran over by a truck in a good sense. It has been few weeks and my neck still feels a lot better than after my PT sessions. I just emailed them to setup another appt. read more

Purchased a Groupon for the 1-hour lava stone and yoga massage. Rita was my masseuse and she did a good job in working in my tight problem areas - which was everywhere. She is a strong masseuse - she did ask how much pressure I wanted. I also never had anyone walk on my back - this was a first experience for me and I have to say it felt really good. If you are not frail and have a pretty high tolerance for pain and you want to get the knots out, this would be for you - my back was definitely snap, crackling and popping. I would go back again. read more

Bought a couples massage off of Groupon about 2 months ago. Clicked the link to the website to check hours and website was no longer available. Called to book an appointment and was told there is a new owner and I should call Groupon for a refund (although the same deal is offered on Groupon still). The employee then told me if I get a refund from Groupon they would give me a deal of $50 per person which was more expensive than the Groupon deal I purchased. Be aware if you purchased a Groupon it might not be able to be redeemed. Also most reviews on here are probably for the previous owner. read more
