They were the most fun to peruse - variety of typical farmers market stuff, like locally made teas, foraged mushrooms, etc. Thankfully it was covered so we could poke around a bit. Inside, in one of the attached spaces, were craft vendors. Some unique art, vintage resellers, and trinkets. Lots of fur coats! The main part of the building was almost exclusively meat. As a visitor, this wasn't much fun to look through since we weren't grocery shopping. There was one breakfast spot inside that looked good. Otherwise, we went pretty fast through here since it was basically one long butcher shop. I'd have loved more variety and places to buy food or drinks to eat as we walked!

He loves what he does, and he enjoys talking about and showing off his numerous projects. Check out the book in his shop that shows the kind of work that he's done. This man is living the dream - he's doing what he loves, with incredible attention to detail. He's not doing it for massive profits, but because he really, really loves his work. And though he's an amazing restorer, he is most enthusiastic about repurposing older pieces to fit your current lifestyle. Ask him about his pump organ projects - something that was basically broken down and unusable was repurposed into a desk with hidden cubbies and secret panels like something out of that National Treasure movie. Which led me to basically dream planning having one of this pump organs be redesigned into a goth themed vanity of my dreams. Never mind that I live in a studio. And I was SHOCKED at how low the starting price for a project like that was - seriously, he is undercharging for the kind of work he does. I am seriously considering getting rid of my couch and tv cabinet just to make room for his custom vanity with secret cubbies and hidden drawers and expandable table tops. But if you're not ready for that and are looking for someone to fix/restore/recane/refinish cherished family pieces or even fix up that flea market find, Mr. McCann is your guy. He's a freaking treasure and he's absolutely worth the drive out to visit for a consult (or even just a chat )

I held onto his info and reached out to him to have him restore a 55 year old mid century one piece sofa sectional. It was my Dad's bachelor sofa. 10ft long. Over the years my folks had it reupholstered 3xs. When i inherited I had it done boldly in red Naugahyde. That was 21 years ago. Iron Gate Antiques just reupholstered in recycled leather and they added a lil height lift to it because she was a low rider. It's beautiful. The entire gang at Iron Gate made this project so much fun to do and I'm so pleased with the work they did abs the outcome

I have been working with Weschler's for over a year and I can not be more pleased. I help people…read moredownsize and also rehome property when a love one passes away. I was working with another auction house and found Weshler's was great for some items and the others I take to another auction house for my clients. Here is what I have learned.... when I am unsure of an item like upholstered furniture I send them a picture and they tell me yes or no. Now let me tell you a story, I had a client that had some very "expensive" art work according to the appraisal . Most of the art sold at Weshler's for about 20% of the appraisal others went for twice the appraisal. The client was disappointed at some of the prices but was blown away at one piece of art that sold for $66,000.00 and was only appraised at 20k. Another house I found some wonderful Danish mid century modern furniture and looked it up on line and I saw the same set listed on a few other sites for a 1k+, I took it in to the auction house and Mark told me that this was a less well know manufacturer and it would sell for around $200.00, it sold for $300.00. This is my advise, ask them, send them pictures and what you think is worth the most isn't.
