The second job was a complete fail . It was to replace , stain and seal my wood steps . Prior to starting I asked if we should wait until warmer weather and he said it wasn't necessary. His crew replaced the steps and did attempt to stain . The first day they looked good . Over the next 5 days it became clear that no sealant was done and the appropriate amount of stain was not applied . When contacted he said he would come back but did not call or complete the project. I have requested a partial refund and had no response . I will need to hire another company to complete the project .

The crew arrived over an hour late at 10:40 AM. By 1:00 PM, they had only covered about 50% of the area before leaving for lunch. They did not return until 4:30 PM, claiming they were trying to locate and purchase more vapor barrier. When they finally returned, I realized the new material was only 12-mil. When confronted, they admitted that the material they had already installed before lunch was also only 12-mil. I explicitly requested and paid a premium for 20-mil material and installation. I fired them on the spot for using cheaper, incorrect materials. It then took a week of back-and-forth communication with an office representative just to secure my refund. To finally get my deposit back, they forced me to sign a waiver promising not to pursue them legally. The entire process, from the initial quote by one female representative to the frustrating refund process with another, was highly unprofessional. Avoid this business.

The one this company installed in 2023 quit working in 2024 after the one year warranty expired and I had to pay $1,000 to have another one installed. March 2025 the dehumidifier quit again. I called and they sent a technician out here and he said the company no longer uses those dehumidifiers. He inferred that they are of substandard quality and if I purchased another it would be quite expensive. He checked the dehumidifier and said my electrical outlet had switched it off. So, I paid an electrician to replace the outlet with one that doesn't automatically switch off. The dehumidifier continued to quit working. So, I asked an HVAC company to come and check it out. He said the dehumidifier is fills with water and cuts off because it isn't draining properly. He emptied it out and said it hadn't been correctly installed. He said it needed a condensation pump and the tubing needed to be replaced. I tried to reach someone at Crawlspaces and More and for weeks never received a return call. I finally received an email from Jim and he said he would come out and make sure the dehumidifier was on and charge me $200. I told them to forget it. I called a reputable company and they installed a very nice dehumidifier and replaced the door to my crawlspace. Ours was wood and rotted because it was decades old. They said Crawlspaces and More should have replaced it to thoroughly encapsulate the crawlspace. The new company installed a custom fit door that is air tight and sealed. I would not recommend Crawlspaces and More.
