This place has been on my list of coffee shops to check out. I came on a Sunday afternoon and it was packed inside. The tables are quite small but there are maybe 10 two person tables. There's a single stall bathroom in the back. I got an iced vanilla latte and it was fine. Nothing special. I wish it was a little bit sweeter but I needed a little pick me up so it gave me that. The barista was nice!

Very cute cafe in bustling UWS on Amsterdam. I got the iced lavender latte, and they did decaf which was fantastic, and it was super delicious. But I didn't taste the lavender at all! I didn't mind too much because I enjoyed it but it did taste like just an iced mocha, not sure if they gave me the wrong thing. There's a good amount of seating, pretty quiet for working, wi-fi, tables were a tad small for working and putting a drink down. Solid work spot or place to catch up.

This place is incredibly cozy and welcoming, with a real homey vibe. Small tables, comfortable seating, and even a little couch that quietly convinces you to stay longer than you planned. The coffee is done right, smooth, balanced, and clearly made with care. The pastries are fresh and genuinely good. Service is very friendly and attentive without hovering, which immediately puts you at ease. It feels personal and relaxed, like a neighborhood café that actually gives a damn. Easy five stars.

Got the maple cinnamon latte and it was nothing crazy but good! They have a good amount of seating, WiFi and they were kind.

Great coffee but also great ambiance.there are not a lot of " cozy " coffee bars this day. A lot have boom boom music and no seating- so naturally this place was packed on a rainy Saturday Memorial Day weekend- but I got a seat. Tufted sofa... plants, wood, antique feel... one thing they need? Some cool etched mirrors and a little more artwork-

Petite, upper west side neighborhood cafe that provides an easy walk to/from Central Park. Things you should know: I. SERVICE They provide a small drink and pastry menu, along with a self-service water station. There's a unisex restroom for customers. Service is efficient and timely. II. QUALITY Nothing stood out as outstanding about the food or drink, but the cold brew and latte give you the boost you need. The ambience here is homey and relaxing. III. CAPACITY Seating is slim. We came on a late weekday morning and only 2 seats were available at the time.

Great ambiance! It's a cozy shop with small tables for seating. I was lucky enough to grab a table and spend some time here. There's free WiFi which is a plus, but not too many outlets. I ordered their gingerbread latte which was a special. I thought it was perfectly sweet and delicious. It was the perfect drink for a cold January afternoon. This is a great spot for a quick coffee or to stay a while and get work done, as long as your devices are charged up. Workers are really friendly and my drink was made quickly.

This is a cute upper west side coffee shop. There are some tables and chairs to enjoy your drinks. Great place it seemed to do work as well. The barista was very nice and suggested I get one drink over another. I went with the Maple cinnamon iced latte. You can get it hot too. I was debating between this and the Lavender iced latte. I would come back and try another flavor drink. If you are in the area this is a great place to stop by.

4.5 stars. I think I must have walked by this coffee shop several times in the past couple of months before I finally realized it was there. The front is quite unassuming, and it doesn't help that it's almost hidden by all the scaffolding on the street. It was a nice surprise going inside, and seeing how lovely and inviting the interior was. The plants, small wooden café tables, leather sofa and various framed pictures gave the shop a cozy, laid back vibe. It's no wonder that there were many patrons there during my visit. They have a small menu of specialty coffee and a small selection of pastries. I ordered Banana Bread ($5.50), Carrot Cake ($5), Blueberry Scone ($5) and an Americano ($4) to go. The coffee was full bodied and smooth. Exactly what a needed on that cold day while waiting for the bus. Both the Banana Bread and Carrot Cake were good, but I really enjoyed the Blueberry Scone. It was dense but light and had a nice crispy crust. Prices are also quite reasonable IMO. It's really nice to see small, independently owned coffee shops like this one instead of more Starbucks. And I hope more people support this great little neighborhood coffee shop.

Solid coffee spot. It's a small space but they still have a good amount of seating for people to lounge and work. I came in on a Thurs afternoon around 3 to duck from some rain and it was still pretty busy. I got a standard drip. Nothing amazing but not bitter and didn't need milk.

Great small artisan coffee shop on the Upper West Side. Not a ton of seating, but definitely worth a stop. Highly Recommend

Cute, small owned business in the UWS. While their menu is pretty basic, the real star is their specialty menu on the table near the register which I think they can do a better job of advertising. We ordered an iced raspberry matcha latte and a vanilla latte, with the former being the highlight of our visit here!

A charming and quaint neighborhood coffeeshop serving up a small but straightforward menu of coffees, teas, and baked goods. I tried the iced americano and it was very smooth. Definitely worth stopping by to enjoy a coffee and catch up with friends.

Cute coffee place! It's a pretty small space but seats open up quickly. I got a dirty chai and it was nice - quite spicy and sweet

I had the grassiest matcha (fuku no midori) prepared with just water, and it was the most refreshing drink I could've asked for during this unbearably hot summer. I came back a few more times in the same week to sample more of their menu. Surprisingly, my least favorite was the strawberry matcha latte. I think the fruit obscures the subtle flavors in the matcha and I recommend getting a plain matcha or a matcha latte instead. The shop itself is very tiny - almost standing room only - with 2 barstools by the window. Each drink is made to order and it seemed like there was only one, maybe two people preparing drinks, so if there's a large group then the drinks will take some time to come out.

Small hidden shop in Koreatown specializing in matcha and tea-based drinks!…read more I came to Mika's on a Friday morning, and while there wasn't a line, it did feel packed with the five people inside. I'd actually passed by this place multiple times but had no idea it was a cafe. This shop itself is more of a grab-and-go, but it might still take a while since all drinks are whisked and made to order. There isn't really space for a line to form inside, so you may need to wait outside to order (there's also a bit of a lack of room to wait for your drink once it's ordered). My strawberry matcha came out to $9.25 total, which is pretty pricey, so I expected a lot. In total, it took me around 10-ish minutes to get my drink with about 4 people in front of me. At first it took a while for our orders to get taken since the two employees were focused on getting drinks out ASAP, one person was preparing the syrups and milk, and the other was making the matcha. The matcha itself had a nice green color. I've had many strawberry matchas prior to this, and based on my experience, this place was alright. The strawberry syrup was nice and not too sweet, but I wish there was a bit more flavoring or more of it, as after two sips I couldn't taste the strawberry at all. Overall, it's a nice shop with cute trinkets around and their own products they sell, like matchas and tea sets. However, for $9, it was a lot for what the drink offered in my opinion.

And I commonly see the upstairs for private events like baby showers, bridal showers, or birthday parties on social media. After dinner with my friends, I was looking for dessert and I was glad to see this location closes relatively late on a weekday night at 11 pm. Upon walking in, I was greeted by a waiter who led us to one of the purple velvet chair booths that was perfect for two people and another waiter brought us a pitcher of water almost immediately. The menu is on a QR code already on the table and we were given ample of time to decide. My friend and I both already knew what we wanted to order. I got the purple Yam Souffle which takes 25 minutes to make and my friend got the fried squid tails. We also got a signature Rose Green Milk Tea to share. The waitress who took our order has great memory and recalled all of our items without writing it down. She also reminded me that I could adjust the ice and sugar levels of my drink which I had completely forgotten and would have got annoyed if my drink came out 100% sweetness. Another thing is that my drink order frequently comes out wrong at other locations so I was glad she got it right! Green tea instead of black tea and with milk instead of without milk. The purple Yam Souffle is just like the other locations. Hot, soft cakey texture balanced with an ice cold red bean Ice-Cream. So delicious! The squid tails on the other hand was not what we expected. It came out burnt and hard. The outer batter was not crispy either. We informed one of the waiters and he brought it back to inform the kitchen staff. We received a new batch that was not as burnt and had more flavoring this time around. However, the squid was still hard and not like the ones we get from other locations with smaller crispier pieces. Overall, it was still a good experience and I love the decorations at this location! This might be my second favorite location after the Flushing one. Would love to come back for brunch or hi-tea. Or regular food options when I have not already eaten dinner. My usual go-tos are the twister fries, Santa Fe chicken rolls, fried salted crispy chicken, and the trio dessert combo. However, this location has a lot more variety! FYI - there are two unisex restrooms in the rear for customers to use with really cute wallpapers too.

We ordered potted rose milk tea to share, Dubai affogato and Brown Sugar Boba Mille Crêpes Cake. We came on a Friday around 4pm. Originally I wanted to try the strawberry matchamisu, however, was told that it sold out. What a bummer. The rose milk tea came with a themed pot and cups which is really cute. The rose fragrant smelled so good and the milk tea also tasted good and has a hint of rose taste. The cake was good, the boba was well cooked, chewy and flavorful! This time there was an unpleasant experience. At first when the Dubai affogato was served, we did not realize that the amount of the coffee was little until we saw another customer's dish that the volume of their coffee looked significantly more than ours. My friend brought it to the waitress attention but the waitress brushed it off and did not acknowledge our concern. When we finished and were about to leave, the same waitress came over and showed us that the container of the coffee was different and hence the volume of the coffee looked different. At this point, we did not care for it anymore. We would have been fine if the staff acknowledged our concern. We thought that maybe using standardized containers for the coffee would avoid this problem. Other than that, the food and drinks were good.
