Wonderful services by my fellow Victoria & Tori !! I came today with the most amazing service, enthusiastic and couldn't be more thankful and happy after poor "service" the day prior! Delicious wine and beautiful atmosphere. Came yesterday and had a different woman (Julie) who was so unenthusiastic and sour with a bad attitude. She was rude and we in turned walked out after her asking "what she could do for us" (um, we're here to have a tasting, like anyone else who comes here) I mean is there something else they offer-no. We're here today to give this winery a second chance because wed'd hoped that she doesn't define this company. Please consider a conversation with this the lady who isn't sure of how to converse with customers or your company may drown. Thank you.

This place is a must visit while in Sonoma! It's a cute little shop but has such fantastic wines inside. They are French based which makes them unique to the area, and although they are small batch the quality of wine is on point. They are so friendly and helpful at getting you the best wine!

Julie was super sweet & she is originally from france. She was so friendly and explained all the wines to us. She started us with some sparkling wine then we had some still wines white and red. My favorite was the rosé of syrah. It was flavorful but so easy to drink and perfect for when its a warm day. Very reasonably priced tasting for the wine you get. Location is great right downtown in sonomoa square. We will be back

Enjoyed the wine tasting of whites and reds with education on the French style wines made in California. Wines only sold at this location. Walked away with the white wine sparkling. We had a tasting first thing on Saturday at 1030 am and it went quickly while enjoying the courtyard fountain outside.

Sosie Wine Tasting Sonoma CA Sat 5/7/22 © Stepped into magical world of Sonoma Court Shops heading initially next door to Sosie Wines... for Pinot at Fulcrum. Something stopped me from making it few steps further;) Saw Sosie Wines tasting room, was greeted by Gigi, she's such an enthusiast of the winery! Sat outside in the Vine Alley by the fountain. Felt spectacular! Loved Sosie, they're open now for about eleven months, fun place, the only tasting room, had some Pinot, brought home their sparkling, everything organic and naturally made (as winemaking process allows it) very personable which I prefer, or maybe just got lucky with Gigi there:-) È spettacolare! A taste of Pinot Noir 2017 from Spring Hill Vineyard, Sonoma Coast, to decide on the bottle. Very good, let's do it! Lovely. So here's what's coming to your nose: black tea (the only kind I drink!), Cherry (love!), juniper & hibiscus. And to your mouth: ripe plum (oh yeah!) & strawberry with equal measures of nutmeg, caraway seed, clove and vanilla. $45 bottle. Harvest day: 6 Sept 2017, aged 21 Mos. in 40% new oak. You can find all the details right on the bottle: elevation 500ft., soils, clones, fermentation process. Farmed organically and only 5 barrels made! Instantly feels exclusive. 95 points, Anthony Dias Blue. You can only taste these wines here at the wine room. Sosie (pronounced So-Zee) is French for look-alike or double. The concept in my interpretation: small artisan shop. Wines produced in small batches with minimal intervention and the lightest touch of oak, inspired by the wines of France. Owners Regina and Scott aim at pairing California grown wines with French soul. The soul which tells them when to pick the grapes and how to treat it in the cellar. They employ an old school approach to wine growing that favors restraint over ripeness, finesse over flamboyance. To make it food friendly akin French Bordeaux, Burgundy, Loire, Rhone... to craft California wines that are their sosie. One third through the bottle, my mood turned to bubbly. Gigi brought out the cork for the Pinot to take back home, and three tastes of Sparkling: *First Things First* - 2019 Sparkling white Brut Nature, 100% Roussanne. $36 bottle. *Bare Necessity* - 2019 Sparkling Rosé, Methode Champenoise, $36 bottle. *A Moment of Weakness* - 2019 Sparkling Red, Methode Champenoise, $40 bottle. Plums, boysenberry, cardamom on the nose. Ribbons of blackberry & raspberry. This bubbly somehow is both creamy and zesty. It finishes dry, with orange peel & baking spice. How can something this mysterious and brooding be so lip smacking and joyful? It's all about the bubbles! First Things First! Barrel fermented with full ML, then aged in neutral oak for 6 months, before its 2nd fermentation in bottle. Aromas of apricot, orange and brioche. Rich and creamy with a beam of ripe fruit. So I did things unconventionally, laughing - in backwards order! Since tasting fee is waived with purchase of any 2 bottles, and I bought 3, I got to try from both lists: Tasting Menu - 5 wines / $35 and Reserve Tasting Menu - 5 wines / $45. I won't bore you with the wines as I'm sure current releases will change with future visits. Plus, you gotta discover it for yourself. All you truly gotta know: Sosie is the place to be at! Gigi at Sosie is an amazing sommelier! Buonissimo! Cheers! *I wanna forgive and forget, and poison all my enemies Beat the savage drums of war all night, and in the morning pray for peace Baby, I don't ever wanna die, And I wanna hear the angels sing I wanna give every dime I own, I want all the gold for me I want everything, hmm I want everything [ Review #703 posted with 4 pictures on May 22, 2022 ] Gigi pouring Pinot Noir! @Sosie Wines Sonoma CA Sat 5/7/22 Sosie Wines tasting room in Sonoma Court Shops Vine Alley CA Sat 5/7/22 Sosie Pinot, 2017 superb! Sosie is a lovely little winery, tucked in the shopping center of downtown Sonoma, CA. It has a welcoming environment that promotes a relaxing wine tasting experience. If you have the option to have Gary assist with your experience during your tasting, I highly recommend him. He's very informative and delightful to talk with. As you explore the delicious and refreshing varieties of wines that are offered at Sosie, Gary provides excellent customer service that will enlighten and educate. Sosie is definitely worth taking some time out of your day to visit. This establishment provides comfortable seating for all guests to enjoy their experience.

    The entance

Being a fan of small priduction, hard to find, artusan wines, I was drawb to Sosie. Not your typical overdone, over ripe California style wines, these wines are definitely destined for the table. Located in Vine Alley, off the Sonoma Plaza, it's a nice little oasis.

You feel the warmth when you walk in. Carlo was a very kind and charming tasting room manager. He knows the wines, grapes and regions very well and captivates you with each story of the bottle he is pouring. He even explains the glassware. There are 3 different wine flights to try and you can taste by the class. The bar can also accommodate a flight that suits your preference. I was looking for an all red flight, and Carlo happily created one for me that I would for sure enjoy. For Designated Drivers, there are two non-alcoholic sparkling wines from Italy to try so no one feels left out. The tasting menu has light bites to complement the wines such as a charcuterie board, cheese plates, and chips. Carlo lets you know what goes well with the wine you're having. And for after tasting, a variety of coffees. The wines I tried were all delicious. I purchased 3 bottles. (Note: You can ask for a "dump bucket" but you don't need one because the wines are very good.) 1. Old Vine Rosé - So good and very popular that they have it on tap! 2. Whole Hog - A delicious Rhône! 3. Eleve Cabernet - drinks like a Bordeaux. When in Downtown Sonoma, please stop by and give them a try. It's a nice break from shopping or a good place to sit and chat with friends for the afternoon.
