With masks on its hard to breath.if I come here I will make sure to throw up all over the floor and cry my eyes out so they can take me ASAP. Why make 5 appointments for 9am and then also take walk-ins. Waited almost 2 hours the first time. We showed up early the second time to just stand around outside the door with three other people hoping to be first as well and then waited almost an hour again once inside. Extremely longest wait ever!!! I've worked in a GYN center with a doctor and neverrr does the patients with scheduled appointments take so long to get seen. If you have any plans coming here, make sure to cancel. Wait is over 2 hours just to check your vagina that should only take 15-20 mins max per patient. PREGNANT WOMEN BEWARE! I'm pregnant with our first child and my experience at Dr. Sorkin's office was so horrendous, I'm never going back. I booked his Jay St. location using ZocDoc. BIG mistake. Primary complaints: very disorganized environment, unreasonably long wait time, rushed visit, lack luster facility. The office itself felt more like an overcrowded clinic. I arrived 10 minutes early and was told immediately that Dr. Sorkin does not actually work out of the Jay Street location listed on ZocDoc. The women at the front desk were lovely, but informed me that none of them work for Sorkin. For me that meant nobody on site had a record of my appointment or the pre-appointment details I filled out on ZocDoc. They said I had to wait to see his Physician's Assistant (PA), Karina. After waiting for 45 minutes, they said Karina the PA must be running late and instructed me to call Sorkin's Ocean Pkwy office for her ETA. I called and they didn't have one. Karina arrived about 30 minutes after that and told me SHE had no record of my appointment or my pre-appointment files. She "squeezed me in" (their words) after all the other patients. I'd been at the office since 1:50p and wasn't seen until 4p. Unacceptable. But it got worse. I called for my lab results and was told everything was fine. Not 2 weeks later I get a call from the Ocean Parkway office telling me that I needed to schedule another appointment, but at their office, which is over an hour from my home. I ask why and they refused to give ANY insight over the phone. They were quite rude about it and said it was a HIPPA violation to tell me anything via phone. I checked online and found out that was a lie. I called them back and they changed their story to say it was actually against their internal policy. I'm glad I did my homework. They are gigantic time wasters. The last straw - my insurance claim showed up today and listed 2 visits for the same day. I'm of course going to dispute the claim, because I was only there once. At this point, I have no faith Dr. Sorkin's office or their ethics. I cancelled my follow up appointment and don't plan to deal with them ever again. So basically, pregnant women beware! Dr. Sorkin's practice isn't worth the chaos, frustration or misinformation!!! read more

The worst GYN I have ever had the misfortune of going to. Don't expect to be seen by the doc. He's too busy with his plastic-surgery-nightmare trophy wife. Instead you'll be seen by a brainless PA of which there are a revolving door. I've been here several times over the years because they are close to my house and accept Medicaid, but never again. After they repeatedly misdiagnosed me and tried to convince me to have an unnecessary, invasive procedure (without doctor what's-his-face even bothering to examine me himself), I decided never to set foot in this office ever again. Doctor Sorkin is great. But I can give him only 2 stars because his office is chaos! -long HOURS of waiting time (in my experience 1-3 hours! Even when I was pregnant, I usually spent at least 1 hour in waiting room having backpain and being dissapointed) -rude girls at the reception (I felt like I was at Russian Bazaar) -receptionists and assistants discusses patients' private lives, so everyone could here it (Girls, Brooklyn is a small village, be carefull of who you are talking about) -Doctor was always out of the office. Delivered my son with Dr.Sorkin in June, had a great experience. The front desk staff are great as are the nurses and pa's that work in the office. I saw Dr. Sorkin at almost every appointment. My baby was on the larger side and ultimately we together with the doctor decided that induction was the best route for me. Dr Sorkin was checking on me throughout the day through my induction, I ended up having to have a c section, and I was extremely scared as it was my first surgery ever! But it went well and Dr.Sorkin did his best to keep me calm. My recovery was very fast I was up and walking within hours. Dr. Sorkin came to check my stitches and check me out of the hospital. Overall I had a great experience throughout my pregnancy and delivery. Cant wait for baby #2 you guys are the best!!! read more

Let me start with this.... what kind of doctor lets his wife wear mini-mini skirts and 20 inch heels to work at his office??? I was shoked!!! Then his office manager is soooooo rude!!! Oh My God. I went to him just because of my insurance. After the first laser cervix procedure... I got checked 6 months later and he told me bad cells came back. He told me I had to schedule cervix biopsy again. I thought it was weird that they came back so shortly after the procedure, but I scheduled it with his office manager anyway. She told me it's going to be in 2 weeks and I had to come in 1 week before and give them blood. 2 weeks later no-one called and I myself forgot. THANK GOD! I switched my insurance then and had to find a different doc. I explained to him the whole situation with Sorkin and told him I was skeptical that I needed another laser removal. He then tested me again and guess what? Everything was fine!! Sorkin was about to do something that didn t need to be done just for money. Bad bad service. read more

I can't really say anything regarding Dr.Sorkin since I was never seen by him. However, I can say that having been to this office twice I will not go back again if I can help it. The first time I waited 3 hours for a 10 minute annual check up. Afterwards it turned out that I wasn't prescribed all the medicine I needed by their PA, Karina, and was only prescribed the second medication 2 weeks later. Karina herself was condescending and barely even introduced herself to me. The second time I came to office I again waited for about 2 and a half hours. I was again seen by Karina, who was once again condescending and very abrupt in her examination. She completely ignored my discomfort and just continued with the exam even though it was clear that I was in actual pain. Do not even try to go to this office! I made an appointment weeks in advance for 2 o'clock . When i entered there were like 20 (!) ladies, patients waiting for a doctor. When i asked about how long should i wait a receptionist said - about an hour or two !!!!!! I couldn't believe her! She said - yes, this is an office where you have to wait for an hour or two! I wish i could give this place 0 stars!!! I don't usually write reviews unless I'm extremely unsatisfied or very satisfied. Terrible service, terrible treatment at front desk, i have never even seen Dr.Sorkin himself, he's always away somewhere & never available. I wait for HOURS in the waiting room AND even the doctor's room just to be seen for 2 seconds. If i get lucky i get to see Inna Kremen, but most of the time i end up seeing some Karina, I don't even know if she has a degree. She gave me the wrong prescription & I had bad side effects. On top of that, she told me a scary diagnosis (which was not accurate!). Thank God i went to my primary doctor & she explained everything to me in detail about my test results & everything turned out to be completely fine with me! More than anything that completely threw me off is that i had a speculum shoved in me that broke my hymen when i was just a teenager! It was my very first visit to a gyn & i was bleeding in the office that day & to experience that was terrible. I am getting pretty damn tired of rude, unprofessional, disrespectful, experiences at doctors' visits. I had an appointment with Inna. Btw she is a PA. They keep telling patients they have a female doctor. This is not true. I specifically said her name. In walks in another girl, who looks like she just graduated, and she never announces who she is. What is her name? Is she a doctor? Is she a physician assistant? NO CLUE. Her name is Karina I found out. I see her for a total of five minutes. I overheard the receptionist saying she is tired and wants to go home. Guess what? I DO NOT CARE. She took that wand that is inserted into your uterus and she literally rammed it into me. I flew up because it heard so bad. She goes "sorry." Then she goes "Oh I don't like something I see. I will give you a referral to go get an ultrasound." She did not tell me why I have fluid or how this happens. I tried asking a question and she just left the room!! I am in shock and so angry. I called this referral place and they said by law they cant tell me anything, only my referral doctor can. Now I have to resort to google to try and figure out what is going on. This is not my first bad experience at a GYN. These Russian offices are so rude. The hilarious part was when the office manager said to me that she doesn't know why the office gets negative reviews. HA It gets better. I sat 2.5 hours in the waiting room WITH an appointment I made seven days prior to be told they LOST my urine sample. Never in the two decades that I have spent going to doctor offices, have I been told this. They also did not provide me with a copy of my blood test results which is illegal. My advice: Stay away from this office! They treat people like bags with money. Book more appointments then they can handle and their sonogram machine is often broken. That means if you are pregnant, they will use a doppler device to check your baby's heartbeat; (FYI which is not accurate bc it can only detect a heartbeat. It's impossible to count baby's heart rate bc it's too fast, but they will come up with a number). That's all....... No other measurements...... Very stressed when in their office due to 2.5 and 3 hours waiting time. Staff is very unpleasant. Good luck! read more

Dr sorkin is hardly there. When ever you make an appointment, you wait for hours and hours to see the doctor. Once I waited five hours and then they told me that I will have to see the physician assistant. The medical assistants are nice, but you need to see the doctor and have him pay more attention to his patients rather than go from one office to the other. It's more like a business. read more
