I want to first say I wish I could give this place 5 stars for the nurses. Very kind. Very comforting after the procedure. They were the best part of this process. Now.. For a doctor's office that is providing such sensitive services, you'd think they'd take the patients needs into account. You are having a medical procedure and cannot have your escort wait with you, they need to wait outside of the building.. The really ridiculous part of this is that you are waiting for HOURS. Just sitting with your thoughts. Nobody to talk to or comfort you. It was a terrible experience. The desk staff are okay. Not great but not terrible. The terrible part is the service. My appointment was at 9am, I wasn't seen until 1:30pm and then once you're called in, the process itself is about 1.5-2 hours. Again, the nurses once the procedure starts and ends were very kind and I wish I could rate them personally. I was recommended this facility by my gyn and I wish I did my own research. I wouldn't have ever gone here. I've gone through this with friends at other facilities and I've never experienced a wait this long. And, I was able to sit with them during their waiting periods. The chairs in the waiting room are small plastic chairs, they're so uncomfortable. You have pregnant women sitting in these uncomfortable chairs for HOURS. You also have pregnant women not eating or drinking for HOURS because of anesthesia. On the particular day I had the misfortune of being here, the staff ordered boxes of pizzas that were carried past all the pregnant women sitting hungry and thirsty in the waiting room. Yes they have to eat, but that was just rude. Overall I was extremely disappointed with this experience. This was my first time going through something like this and I feel like parkmed added to my trauma. I hope I'll never need to but I most certainly would never come back here and I would never recommend this place to anyone. Oh and my pain medicine somehow did not make it to the pharmacy so I had to purchase Tylenol that would've been covered by my insurance. And when I called the office, someone answered but I was told "the office is closed today" okay, thanks for nothing. Terrible terrible experience. read more

When I tell you this was the best decision I made in coming to this facility!! Planned parenthood almost destroyed my life. I came here and I was treated with kindness, humility and respect. No judgement passed. I was anxious and stressed and after my procedure I left not only feeling good but I left knowing I was in great hands. Ms. Flowers was like an angel sent to me. And every other single staff member made me feel safe and kept a smile on my face during a stressful time. Do not hesitate to come here at all for your GYN needs. Don't go here if you want to have all your money taken, be bruised when they draw your blood and be disrespected by a mean, hateful and disrespectful elderly female physician that wears glasses. Also, don't even think about asking about asking them questions about your health, they won't bother to help you. The staff at parkmed are ignorant and lazy and will instead respond with " check your personal portal, we don't have that here" or " I'm sorry LOVE, we can't do that its not within our policy" (my name is not love, i have a f-ing name on my chart, can you read? Then say my name and don't make some *ish up instead please) I wanted the pill and was early enough to have resolved my issue if it was provided initially; instead of resolving the problem, this practice used me to make a profit with my copays. They made me come in unnecessarily for blood and other unnecessary tests, saying that they needed to see something in my uterus in order to consider the pill. (b/c lab results and numbers CLEARY lie here) even after meeting all the necessary criteria for the pill they still said no and pushed for me to have a D&C. On the day of my procedure when I made one last attempt and pleaded for the pill I was told by an elderly female physician that wears glasses. " You don't have to do the D&C, you can just go home and miscarriage and bleed and see what happens" When I countered and said " seriously, you want me to go home and just bleed out? " This disgraceful physician responded with " ok , so you don't want the D7C today" and then proceeded to turn her back to me and walked out the OR/ Procedure room with no further explanation. You should be ashamed to call yourself a physician, your bedside manner is disgusting and you should not be practicing medicine at all Thanks for being so informative and sensitive to my needs Park med. instead of helping women in need you demean them and refuse proper treatment. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I had not wanted blood work and told that to the receptionist that booked my appt. When I got there for my appt, the very rude and dismissive front desk team claimed to not have any notes about this on my appt. Fine. They got a supervisor who said this was their policy and i couldn't have my procedure done without this. Most, if not all, other places do not require this. For a business that handles such delicate and sensitive matters you'd think they would at least be kind. Please listen to the many other reviews on here unlike me and don't go! Worst doctor office in my 10+ years living in NYC. I am still pissed as I am back home, so I decide to write a review. I went in and filled out the form, left SSN blank. As a background, I am a lawyer, I was educated that for your own benefit, just don't give out SSN easily, nobody has right to obtain your SSN, unless government, such as IRS. So I had been to numerous doctors, never gave out my SSN, even at emergency room, no problem at all. But today, here, at this office, the front desk told me "no, we need your SSN to go through insurance", which is not true at all. I explained. The front desk then talked on a loudspeaker to ask for a supervisor/billing/security or sth, treated me like I am a person did not pay them. Seriously?! I don't want to be at that office for even one more second. I left without seeing the doctor. How good or bad the doctor is does not matter at this point. read more

Never in my life have I been so uninformed about medical procedures. I waited in the office for 7 hours before anyone told me I'd be going under anesthesia that day. They blew out 7 of my veins trying to start an IV-Did not explain the procedure to me at all-I came out completely covered in medical tape that was put there for absolutely no reason-The anesthesiologist hit me in the eye with the wrapper for the IV needle before surgery and said nothing. The post-op nurses are the best of the best. Probably better than most places. Even still, fuck this shit. read more

This is not the type of place, where you have many choices. Ot could be the only place, where your insurance sends you . It could have been a recommendation. For the most part, women are here , 4 one reason. And, there should be no judgement. The front desk staff is lovely. The Phlelobotomist dept is also genuine. Most of the nurses in the back also appear to be caring. Some of the other staff, may call you sweetie and honey, but it's so fake. I don't want to get into specifics, but if you have a choice, do not-come here. Once you do, they have a medical profile on you, and you wouldn't want to read it. The wait time is un excusable. If you only have one sonogram technician, hire a PT person to help with the patient numbers. If your patients, are having a hard time dealing with, their wait time, you should be understanding. You shouldn't say, they are being inpatient. Most of your patients are waiting atleast 7 hours. Its a very tense situation for most women . It may be physical uncomfortable as well. Your chairs do nothing, but cause back pain. There is almost zero reading material . If you have a choice, go somewhere else. I made an appointment over the phone with this clinic. They were kind and polite over the phone however neglected to inform me of their policies of having a mask mandate. I have been prone to passing out when I wear a mask and in my medical condition I could not physically breath. Had I know their policy prior to wasting my time there, I would have gone somewhere else. As I walk in, they have all of these mandatory mask signs so I informed the receptionist that I felt as if I was going to pass out and could not breath. Dr. Micheal Molaei and his nurse both come to me telling me I must put my mask on for the safety of other patients as if my safety and well being was of no concern to them. Dr. Molaei becomes aggressive and starts verbally harassing me telling what I feel and say does not matter in that office because the only thing that matters is I put that mask on. I ask if I could stand in the hallway, he tells me no and at this point is screaming at me from across the room. As I am asking him to stop screaming at me, embarrassing me in front of the entire waiting area, he denies me service. This was the most humiliating experience in a doctors office that I have ever had. Especially since the fault was on their staff for not giving me full disclosure prior to making my appointment causing me to have to deal with my painful situation longer than necessary. I would not recommend this place if you want doctors who are consideration, not giving misinformation and respectful. read more

This place is a total scam and if I could give zero stars I would. Please do not go unless it's a matter of the last resort. Go to Planned Parenthood. They will advertise the same for the same price and not tell you they will have to do a 'blood test' prior and they will make you sign a form saying you are ok with this test being made In a small print on another paper will be that you agree they send you a bill. Even if you pay on the day. Reason being there is about $1000 hidden cost that they will try to trick you out of and if I didn't specifically ask about how much it is it would just arrive as a surprise. They won't tell you this condition when you are making the appointment - you'll find out when you get there. The woman refused to even tell me the cost actually until I made a serious fuss. So here, in their own handwriting you can see the extra charges on top of the standard $600 (if for whatever reason they can't do anything on the day they will keep $425 and you'll have to come back. They do and you a lot of personal details including social security! Someone should totally inspect this place. This place is a disgrace and a cash cow. read more

They are kind, compassionate, efficient and through. I am a healthcare professional so I have a deep respect for what they do here daily. I would like to say that I loved my experience. Just the long Wait was the worst part I was a two day my first I was there 9 hours my second day 6 so it varies . But waking up from the surgery is hard also. but I loved how caring they are and also meeting some very sweet nice people who were going through the same thing as me . I wasn't alone . Terrible billing-my service was supposed to have been covered, then about a year later $3000 showed up as a collections from them on my credit report. I have been calling on and off for about a year now to try to have this issue resolved and they are extremely unhelpful-seems very fishy to me. I love the blurb on their website about how much they care about their patients and that you won't receive an unexpected bill. You have to do what you have to do but I strongly advise asking a lot of questions ahead of time to be very clear about their procedure and what you can expect to pay, especially now that insurance seems to be covering less and less. read more

I was appalled to undersatnd that the front end is extremely unprofessional. I asked to speak with a nurse or medical staff member and requested the names of my Dr. or Nurse on a previous visit. The front desk clerk, Daris, was rude and cold, refused to give me accurate information and decided it was ok to hang up on me when I requested the spelling of her name. I called back requested her name again and I decided to take a better approach and write an email describungbher behavior instead. Park med saved my life. At 24 weeks pregnant, I had just received confirmation about a blood disorder that my unborn baby had inherited. This disorder would cause the baby to die in utero or shortly after birth. If I chose to carry full term, I'd be at risk, too. We had to make the hardest decision of our lives. My NJ care doctors referred me to go down to a clinic in Cherry Hill, NJ since I was past the 24 week mark for NY abortion. They said this was a clinic that goes up to 25.5 weeks. With no choice, we drove 1.5 hours to the clinic. When I arrived, I was horrified at how run down the clinic looked and how many women were there.I waited 3 hours to be called in for an ultrasound and finger prick, and was turned away from the clinic because my hemoglobin levels were low and because of the fetal anomaly. They did not feel confident operating on me. At that point, I felt so hopeless.During our 1.5 hours drive back home, I kept googling and calling abortion clinics nearby and person after person, I was turned away due to how late I was in my pregnancy. I decided to call the national abortion Federation and explained to them that I was 24 weeks along with fetal anomaly, they gave me 2 places to call, one of which was Park Med and the other in Boulder, CO. Of course, I call Park Med first and had a lengthy convo with the receptionist explaining to her that I had just been turned away from an abortion. She was very nice and patient with me and asked if I could come in that day. I said sure but also stressed to her that I was 24ish week pregnant, she assured me that park med performs abortions up to 26 weeks. I felt immediate relief at that moment. I just wonder why my NJ care doctors did not tell me about park med in the first place. I went in same day, got my blood drawn and got an ultrasound, spoke with the doctor and told him about my horrible experience at Cherry Hill. I had to go back the next morning, praying that my hemoglobin levels were okay enough for the procedure. Thank god it was. I can't stress how important it is to find a medical staff that gives you world class service when you're going through the worst thing in life. The doctors and nurses at park med really turned this traumatic experience into a peaceful one for me. I feel so blessed to have been referred here by the NAF, or else I would have ended up in Boulder,CO. Called and was able to book a procedure for the next day. Wait time was fairly long - about 4 hours. The waiting room and whole facility was clean and organized though. The staff was kind but at the same time, respected my privacy. I was crying at one point before the procedure. A few people asked if I was okay and I said I was fine. They did not push the issue. Before the procedure, I was given blood work and an ultrasound. The doctor (or nurse?) asked if I wanted to see the ultrasound image and I said no. Since I didn't have anyone to escort me home, I had to receive local anesthesia instead of being put to sleep. The doctor made sure I knew what I was getting myself into as some people find the procedure very painfulShe said that they could try to find volunteer to escort me home (apareny this is available) if I wanted to reschedule and be put fully to sleep. I declined and they respected my wishes to move forward with local anesthesia. The procedure was in fact very painful but quick. The staff commended me on how well I handled it. Afterwards, I went to the recovery area. The nurse said that I should stay as long as possible and eat as much as possible, but I stayed for about 20 minutes and left after 2 servings of ginger ale and cookies. All in all, i had a very positive experience with the clinic considering it was a fairly negative event in my life. I had no desire to hear any moral opinions on my decisions or receive any emotional "support" or counseling from the clinic, which I did not receive. Even though I was crying at one point, they respected my privacy and decisions. All staff was compassionate but not in a smothering or invasive way. read more

I was kind of surprised that my ob/gyn sent me to an abortion clinic to treat my missed miscarriage but as it turned out, these are the folks that do it best. This was no spa experience by any means but the staff was wonderful from the front desk clerks to the medical technicians drawing blood to the caring and knowledgeable doctors and nurses. My advise....bring lots of reading material. I showed up at 9am and left at close to 4. Emotionally prepare yourself to be hungry and thursty all day. You walk in. Wait an hour. Draw blood. Wait an hour or two. Get your sonogram. Wait an hour or two. When the nurse gave me my surgincal gown to put on, I thought, "Finally. Its almost over." Nope, now I sit in a different room with a bunch of other semi naked women in gowns for about 40 minutes. After the procedure, the nurses rouse you, give you some cookies and soda and most of the girls were ready to leave after they finished their snack. I think that had my gyno had room for the d&c in his schedule, I think i would have been in and out in 30-60 minutes. The exorbant amount of time spent aside, the folks at parkmed were very professional. I would trust them to do this procedure safely sooner then I would my gyno because they do this all day long. read more

Okay so there's not a lot of reviews that go Into crazy detail which is what my paranoid-self likes to read . I like to know what to expect . Well my over all experience was AWESOME . only thing I didn't like was the wait but still overall happy . So I found ParkMed through google and they booked an appointment as little as two days away . Perfect . I was told on the phone that there was a 6-8 hour wait period. I appreciated being told this since I mentally prepared myself while other women in the waiting area were very cranky . The only thing that really sucks is not being able to drink or eat after midnight before your visit , if you're going through IV sedation . So be prepared ! Now I'm a VERY NERVOUS girl . So when I when I got to the office , I waited , pee'd in a cup , waited more , got some blood drawn out and pressure taken , waited some more , got a sonogram and was told how far along I was , waited more and was told to go change into a surgical robe . They make you wait alittle more with other Girls also in robes in another room. I have NEVER been put to sleep before so as soon as they say me in the room I started to cry . The doctors , anesthesiologist, and nurses all comforted me even tho i was too scared to fully Calm down . They were incredibly nice ! I grabbed the anesthesiologist hand and just cried but she made me feel so safe . So she inserted the IV , it pinched alittle , and then she tried to distract me. I can't remember what i was saying since I started to feel VERY tired . All of a sudden I felt a hot rush run up my body and I closed my eyes and said " ooo that burns " while she held my hand . All of a sudden I WAS OUT . I don't remember being out . I don't remember A SINGLE THING. Which I really Appreciated considering how paranoid I am . I woke up in another room as if I had woken up from a nice nap . But once you realize you're awake , it kinda feel like waking up to Your period with intense cramps . But you can handle it . I told the nurse I was nauseous and felt pain and she gave me Ibuprofen and a baggie to vomit in . The cramping took a while to get over with and the more I woke up the more I felt better . I was amazed by how crazy IV sedation is . It's one hell of a drug . I was comforted by a nurse named Marie and she was so kind and caring I felt comfortable with her . They give you cookies and ginger ale or coke and then Once you feel better you're allowed to change and go home . IMPORTANT : THE MORE YOU WALK THE BETTER YOU FEEL . one nurse made me Walk around and it Made me feel SO MUCH better . THANK YOU PARKMED STAFF ! read more

I fly all the way from LA every time I need to visit Dr. Molaei not only he is a great physician, he is a great listener & he diagnoses on point every single time . This was my first time having any kind of abortion and I opted for the medial abortion. Though I was only 6 weeks and 6 days along, my experience was very unpleasant and scary. The physician did not have a wholistic approach at all. All he did was give me the pills, tell me how to take the second dosage, and after ask me about my family history. If only I knew how horrible this experience would be, I would be better equipped. Aside from the internal guilt and emotional hardship, the entire process was very painful. It took me 5 days to fully pass all the tissue - 5. Horribly.Excruciatingly. Painful. 5. Days. I felt very alone and without a medical support system to guide me through this entirely new, dark and scary undergoing. read more
