Sold a Sherri Hill HOCO dress to my stepdaughter knowing the zipper was faulty (one of the prongs was misaligned). Two employees -- including a manager -- showed her mom "how to zip the dress" and reassured her that the zipper didn't need to be replaced. The hook and eye also needed to be secured but weren't. Come the day of HOCO, the zipper completely gave out at the damaged prong, leaving the entire zipper broken. This was not an ideal situation for a teenage girl moments before her senior HOCO - running to buy supplies, getting sewn into her dress last minute, smeared make up, rescheduling group photos - stress and things that could have (should have) been avoided by simply replacing a zipper. Of course, no refund was offered, only the option to have the zipper repaired -- too little, too late. This should have been fixed before selling the dress. If something feels off with an item, trust your gut. Look over your garment and make sure everything is in place as is was promised to be. They seem to be more focused on selling at full price than on what happens after you walk out the door. read more

Regal decor and not cheesy all white stuff with all the fluff everywhere else trendy has. People appreciate tradition over being cool so you can post on Facebook that you went to Blanc De Blanc in Pittsburgh. This place also doesn't require you to put your card down for YOUR appointment in which YOU are buying from THEM. The sales lady, Marque, was maybe someone I'd consider even inviting to the actual wedding. That's how perfect she is at her job. Every mark was hit and I hope she stays there a long time for the sake of future brides. Only ONE thing that I would request to change and that would be the number of allowed guests. Loved my experience dress shopping at Sorelle in Washington, however the communication after with the alterations and necessary appointments was disappointing. My stylist had me come and try on the dress in October, I had left it there to get alterations....The employee said we need to take 4 inches of bottom and held it up to where it had to go. I left that appointment, and left my dress at the shop, thinking that they would do this. Now it's June, I'm finding out that alterations were never done, and they had not scheduled me another appointment when I was checking out with my veil and accessories. I had no idea I needed another appointment! This is my first time getting a dress tailored. The manager I spoke to said that this is the bride's responsibility, however I had no idea that another appointment was needed and nobody communicated this. My wedding is a month away, and my dress had sat there for 8 months completely untouched. The team was super helpful in helping me find my dream dress as I was very indecisive of what I wanted. They told me it could take up to 6 months to come in and it only took 2! They called me and we're able to get me in the next day to dress on my dress. My mom also got her dress there for the wedding and they were so beyond helpful and patient! I wouldn't recommend any bridal party work with Sorelle to order their bridesmaids dresses. This salon is super old school and not flexible at all for out of town bridesmaids. Firstly, everyone in our bridal party lives outside of Pittsburgh and had to be measured at other salons for bridesmaids dresses. I personally went to Anthropologie's wedding department, BHLDN, in New York City. I had to call Sorelle to give them my measurements over the phone since our bride wanted us all to order through Sorelle for the dresses. The woman, I believe her name is Michelle, told me that based on my measurements that I'm a size 12. I insisted that this must be wrong given that I'm normally a size 6. She insisted, and talked down to me like I was a child (I'm 27) that she's been doing this for many years and if I wanted a smaller size I should sign a waiver that I went against her recommendation. We probably argued about it for 15 minutes on the phone and I even called back a half hour later unsure about the order and she pushed me to get the 12. The bridesmaids dresses took 6 MONTHS to even arrive at Sorelle (I understand this waiting period for bridal gowns that are made custom but a bridesmaids dress should never take so long!). It came, I am SWIMMING in fabric and when I took it to a tailor in my new home of Portland Oregon, she told me that she has to remake the entire dress. Mind you, I picked up the dress in person at Sorelle when I was at my bride's wedding shower and the sales associate Genie told me that they can't help me at all offset costs of alterations given my measurements were taken on the phone... this is 2019. Just like how when we asked for a receipt in the initial ordering call they offered to fax it to us. (!!!) I asked for email confirmation. They said they're unable to provide it. What software are you operating your business on?! So that leaves me with $130 in alterations for a $140 dress and the only option from the Sorelle team is for me to come in the day before the wedding when I'm back in town to have it tailored. I noted "that's the day of the rehearsal dinner, for the wedding in which I'm maid of honor. That's not an option. And if this were always on the table as an option for me, why wasn't it shared with me when I was in town 3 weeks ago in the store?" Also in complaining about my alteration costs, she hung up the phone with me saying "Genie will call you back, but don't bank on today she's REALLY busy. Lots of appointments!" Needless to say I haven't heard from her but she did call my best friend, the bride, to do some damage control and told her that I was being rude to the salon? Can't we handle this as grown adults? Isn't the first rule of wedding handling to never involve the bride in petty frustrations? Nice work, Sorelle! Save you and your bridesmaids a major headache and have them order their dresses through Anthropologie which comes directly to your door in 4-6 days (NO shipping costs unlike Sorelle's flat $25 shipping rate...) and NO tailoring needed because their dresses are made based on normal sizing. Sorelle tried to give me this crap about the dress being from Europe. I'm like well I'm a size 28 in European jeans so why would you tell me to get a 12?! Can't be clearer about this - stay away and head to a more current boutique closer to Pittsburgh. Some much better options with WAY better customer service are popping up in Lawrenceville. read more

I find it incredibly sad how majority of the "not recommended" reviews are the ones with one star reviews. I wish i would have seen them prior to my appointment. This boutique is best suited for the bride who has picked her exact style, color, designer, etc., and does not want to try on anything else. If you're looking for patience and good listening skills, this is not the boutique for you. Our consultant started off really nice. I had explained to her that while i wasn't exactly sure of the exact style of dress i wanted, i was pretty certain on a few styles i did not want! The first two dresses were similar to a dress i had tried on before and i liked them. After that things went downhill fast. While I'm not a lace person, i don't mind it on the top of the dress only. I told the consultant i wouldn't mind trying a dress with minimal lace on. The next dress she brought in was absolutely covered in lace and just not my style. I told her it was too much lace for me. That seemed to not sit well with her. As she was taking the dress away i heard her say to the manager "nope. Doesn't like lace now".... a little unprofessional in my opinion but whatever. Fast forward to three dresses later of styles that i hated and didn't look good on my body type i finally lost it and started bawling on the "stage". I felt awful. I felt the consultant & the manager weren't listening to me, and i was extremely overwhelmed. Wow - allow me to sing the praises of Sorelle! I had been to a few bridal shops on Friday but didn't find anything that really felt like "the one," so I began browsing for dresses online. I came across one particular dress that I LOVED, and it happened to be in stock at Sorelle. I called the next morning (on a Saturday, the busiest day) right before they opened and asked if it would be at all possible to come in and try on the dress. They were able to squeeze me in to come in and try it on, and Whitney, who helped me out, was really amazing. I left the store to go to another appointment, but ended up driving all the day (40 minutes) back afterwards with my mom and sister in tow so I could show them the dress. Sorelle was so amazing and graciously allowed me to come back in for the second time in the day - again without a prior appointment - to try on the gown with my mom and sister present. Jeanie, the owner, helped me the second time around and made me feel REALLY special despite my having come in very last minute, without an appointment, on their busiest day of the week. As soon as I put the dress back on I knew it was the one and bought it right away. Jeanie, Whitney, and Sorelle in general made what could have been a really stressful situation into something amazing and I only wish I could have looked here sooner and seen more of their inventory!! read more

I had high hopes when I first came to this place, but it left a bad taste in my mouth. Before I say the reasons I was disappointed, I want to be clear that everyone was very nice and engaged my sisters and mom and made us feel comfortable there. But that's kind of where the good stops. I wasn't totally sure what I wanted when I got there. The stylist I got was nice enough, and did help narrow down the type of dress I wanted, but clearly was just trying to make a sale. I was consistently put in dresses over budget. There was a lot of whispering directions going on between her and her manager (take her to the big mirror, put a veil on, do the "close your eyes and envision" thing, etc). I didn't need the dramatics to know what dress is the dress for me, and I'm not naive and can totally see what you're doing. Even if I found THE dress here, which I didn't, all of that stuff would've made me walk right out and buy it somewhere else. Every salesperson told me I was beautiful in every dress before they even looked at it. I can recount a specific person literally saying how beautiful it was before I was even out of the fitting room just because she made eye contact with me - totally fake. The word beautiful completely lost any meaning by the end of the appointment. When I left without a dress, there was more whispering and disappointment that they didn't make the sale. Super unprofessional and didn't give me a reason to come back for another appointment to keep looking. We'll go elsewhere. read more

I was specific in what I hated and did not want and the girl helping me brought me the same look over and over. I couldn't have been clear in what I did not like and she still brought me them. If I could give Sorelle Bridal 10 stars I would. I had the most amazing experience selecting and purchasing my bridal dress. The staff is so amazing and made me and my family feel special. On Sundays they allow you to rent the store with a bridal brunch and you're the only customer. You then get mimosas and snacks. It's a great spread. I truly had a "Say Yes To The Dress" experience. Their selection is amazing and they really care about you feeling like your best self. We're even going back so that my mom and future mother in law can find their dresses. Their website clearly lists their hours, and does not mention anything about HAVING to have an appointment t even view a single product. I no longer live in Washpa, but made the trip down to see the shop recently and arrived at 3:40. They were open till 6. They were so unbelievably rude to me when I inquired about viewing a dress- you'll have to schedule an appointment for next week, when there was only 1 bride in the store. Seriously? You sell bridal gowns... You want people to view your inventory, and buy your stuff. I'm not a business person, but I think you need customers to keep it going!? The place looked so haphazard and disheveled. Stuff piled high in corners from what I could see stepping into the store front. Maybe I expect too much- but customer service leaves a lot to be desired as well as they need to put their "rules" in their website and save people time and frustration when you are not even allowed to look. I've heard this same exact story from a number of people too! I cannot thank Sorelle enough for the amazing and easy wedding dress shopping experience they provided. My sister and I both had Marque as our consultant. She was amazing! She listened to what you had to say but had her own flare and led us both to the perfect dress! The ladies in the shop were so enthusiastic and welcoming and it made the process for shopping for a dress enjoyable and easy. I was planning my wedding from Texas in a 6 month time frame and these women made the stress of making an appointment and getting a dress in time so effortless. My biggest thanks goes to Wendy, the seamstress. She was INCREDIBLE. I was hesitant to wear a strapless dress, I didn't want to be one of the brides who was either falling out of the dress or always having to pull the dress up. Luckily because of Wendy's incredible talent my dress fit like a glove and I didn't have to pull it up the entire night. Although she ultimately did not purchase her dress from this store, it was by far the best bridal experience she had over all. They were very very patient and selected such a variety of gowns for her to try on since she had no idea what she wanted. She found a top contender that was a top contender until the very end. We kept in touch with Michelle and she always responded very quickly to us. They bent over backwards for us even offering to come in on Black Friday even though we didn't have an appointment just so we could see that gown in different lighting. Let me start by saying, I didn't end up buying my wedding gown here but still wanted to write a review about what excellence service I had during my appointment. My mother and I visited the shop on Jan. 4, 2018. We were welcomed and offered something to drink by multiple employees right away, all of whom smiled and just looked happy to be there in general. My bridal consultant was Whitney. She greeted us with a smile and was so enthusiastic. I'm going for an Art Deco (20s era) feel for my wedding and explained that I wanted the same in a wedding gown. Whitney clicked with my vision instantly and pulled the first few gowns. All of which were beautiful. It was clear she understood what I was after right out the gate. She minimized any awkwardness in the dressing room by keeping the conversation fun! A day before this, I had tried on another gown at a different Pittsburgh salon that I fell in love with and knew in my heart it was the one to beat. Though Whitney's picks were beautiful, I kept thinking about that other dress. Then, she put me in this ahhhmazing gown that blew my mother and I away! Thanks to her amazing eye for fashion, she literally threw me a curveball with this one and I found myself totally dumbfounded as to which to pick. She put a veil on me and told me to imagine my wedding day and really did her best to tap into how I was feeling. After 15 minutes staring at myself in the dress I decided to change out of it, clear my head , and I set up a time to come back later in the day--Which they graciously accommodated as well despite a full schedule! I returned to the other salon and put the original gown on and simply decided it was the better one for me. I called Sorelle to cancel my afternoon appt and they were sweet as can be and understanding. Despite not purchasing from Sorelle that day, I had such an unforgettable experience and it was such a pleasure to work with Whitney. Plenty of gowns on their website, yet mysteriously when we arrived for our scheduled appointment not one cap sleeve gown that we showed them pictures of from their website existed in the entire store . My daughter was constantly given subtle jabs by the human helping her. This woman was extremely rude, staff was rude. Terrible experience. We left after 30 minutes. My daughter requested to try on a dress but was told "Oh honey that one costs $2,300. and I could never sleep tonight if you tried it on and fell in love with it but couldn't afford it." How dare her. Whenever our daughter would come out in a wedding dress she was told to wait, let that girl have her moment, share the stage, let those people take pictures in their street clothes on the one and only stage available. I can't say enough great things about Sorelle! I found my wedding dress there this summer, and my consultant, Dasha, was amazing! She helped me to find a dress that fit my budget, and looked great on me. She was absolutely honest about what looked good and what didn't, and I didn't feel the least bit self-conscious. Sorelle absolutely blew me away! First, their rooms are stunning and the atmosphere is great. I had an amazing group of women take care of me from start to finish. The manager did a fabulous job of checking in on me throughout my time as well and all staff were so attentive! After an hour or so, I became indecisive and overwhelmed and the staff were so attentive that they noticed immediately and suggested I take a break, get lunch nearby, provided free gelato coupon, and suggested to come back afterwards with a fresh mind. Bad experience. Only shop at this establishment if you want to be embarrassed and treated rudely. My wife, who walks with a cane, was treated horribly by a 20 something sales associate (could have been the owner). My wife was finally approached after waiting for a long time period............my wife told the young lady she was looking for a formal dress and was immediately informed "Well you know the cost of our dresses are $400 to $500 or "MORE". My wife was so embarrassed by this young lady who implied that my wife could not afford to shop at this dress shop. I can assure you this is not the case. To add to the rudeness, the young 20 something told my wife to put down her walking cane...........evidently the noise of the my wife's walking cane tapping the floor displeased the young lady. This was a HORRIBLE experience from start to finish. The end result... a beautiful dress missing 2 bussle loops so it slopped around on the floor all night. Through all the errors this store made on my dress, including LOSING it, they never offered a discount or anything to try to correct the situation. Im not looking for a hand out but when you drop roughly $2500 you kind of expect better treatment than someone buyng a prom dress (who by the way got a 25% discount for just knowing the owner...I know this because I was standing right next to the owner when she said it as they were searching for my lost dress, nice right!). The ONLY nice thing I will say about this place is that a little blond, I think her name is Marissa, ALWAYS recognized me and called me Miss Lindsey and gushed over me every time I walked in. I was highly disappointed in my first visit to this salon. I was looking for bridal shoes for my November wedding and the selection the have is crammed into a corner. No one welcomed me for at least 15 minutes and that wad only after I went to find someone to get me a pair of shoes. He came back 10 minutes later with no shoes that fit. I know he can't help the size (9) is popular, but didn't offer a different 9 in same designer. If there was a receptionist things would be smoother and more welcoming. read more

What a waste of time- and I drove 3 hours to get there. I wanted to go somewhere that was convenient for my mother to go with me, so I drove there from Columbus, Oh. I had an 18 year old sales girl who had only worked there for a week. She was very sweet, but not very knowledgeable about pulling dresses. You can NOT look through the dresses yourself, which made this a problem I was brought a total of 5 dresses to try, one being a prom dress and the other 4 from the off-the-rack variety. I had a budget, but I didn't think that meant the bottom of the barrel. 4 of the dresses were too small- and remember these can't be ordered to your size. One was held together by safety pins !!
