After a trying 3 different shops (3 different headaches) in my area I have decided to give SoReal a try. Steve, one of the owners got in my car with me and started listening to my system. He then asked me few questions to get a feel for what I really wanted. Upon listening to my system which sounded sub par, he suggested that he would have to troubleshoot my entire system. My system had many alterations to the point where he did not feel comfortable anyway other than starting at my head unit. I felt pretty skeptical at first because redoing the entire system seemed like an expensive job to me. Since I wanted a nice sound stage in the front of my vehicle, Steve suggested I went with a sound processor. SoReal redid my entire system which included running all the wires and new RCA cables from both of my amplifiers. They also took the time to properly tune the system (gains and equalization) to an optimal level. Not mention that SoReal only charged me for only 4 hours of labor plus parts! Very reasonable price for what I would call an ultimate level of service from walking in the door to final delivery. I remember just smiling and nodding on how good they made my system sound! Steve set in the car with me for nearly an hour, listening to different types of music in my new system and addressing any concerns I may have had. While waiting for my car to be moved from the shop I also noticed the neat display they had set with the top American and European brands of speakers. After inspecting my amps I noticed how clean the install was, no more wires sticking out like before. All the wiring was neatly tucked away. Steve is so knowledgeable and passionate about car sound that he does a superb job explaining the subject, which made me ask myself why would I go anywhere else?I was very grateful to rest assure that I would no longer keep spending money on my car just to eliminate the problems in sound system. After a month Steve kept in touch to make sure that I was pleased with the system. They even had me come in for a free adjustment after my speakers had completely broken in! I have worked with many car audio shops, and was also previously in the audio/video electronics business for many years in retail sales, management, and tech support for a major high-end manufacturer. So please trust me when I tell you that Steve, Hans and his crew are top-notch. Not only do they know their equipment and their business, they listen to your needs and strive to the utmost to satisfy them above and beyond your expectations if and wherever possible. They spent hours helping me with a situation that wasn't even their original install, a situation that existed because of a nearby competitor's lack of skill, experience, and because of their unwillingness to provide the proper high-quality level that myself, my system and my equipment demanded and deserved. These guys are not only skilled installers that will advise you properly without regard for their bottom line, but with your needs and desires as their main focus they will seek out and provide the proper solution for your situation. If you want it simple they'll do that, and explain it in a way that you'll understand. If you're more advanced they can provide that level of installation and experience as well. I know this because of my observations of their interactions with varying situations and customers while waiting for the completion of my install. A few years back, I had driven 65 miles for the services of a high-end installer who then become unavailable, and now that I am only 25 miles from these guys, I would say without hesitation that I would drive over 65 miles to continue with them. In today's business climate of the norm being mediocre and uncaring customer service, these guys will prove that good old fashioned excellence in customer service and value still exist. First off these guys are one of the best shops out there at what they do.There work ethic is one of the best I've seen,there commitment in helping customers are 2nd to none.They go out there way to help there clients and better yet help a customer that's not even a customer.I called them one time and was greeted with so much politeness and respect,I was shocked.I called so many shops to ask questions on a build I wanted to do and got brushed off on all of them! But not here they were polite ,kind, and knowledgeable,they made you feel like family,and made you feel imortant.They LISTEN!!!.and when I got off the phone it was 1-1/2 later! They answered all my questions,and where ready to take on the build ive been dreaming of doing.It doesn't matter what there doing they will find time to answer all your questions and help you with your problems even if you message them on Facebook.Guys you won't find that commitment from anyone.I know!! I recently (4/2012) went to SoReal Sounds to inquire about having a self starter installed as a surprise gift for my mom. Something simple, basic and easy to work. I shopped around, did my research and had an idea of what I wanted and how much I was planning to spend. I am not surprised at the wonderful service I received. Steve and Hans are awesome. They are attentive, thorough and patient. Hans made the appointment, told me what my options were, gave me an estimate, explained what I was getting, how long it would take to be installed, and assured me that the price would not change without notice to me. The day I brought the car in, Steve reinforced what Hans said and the car was ready within the time frame they quoted. In addition to explaining to me how the starter works, I brought my mother in and Steve explained it to her again and patiently. Other customers came in but that did not deter Steve. In my opinion this is the best mobile audio/electronics shop in the Boston area. I've tried to get a "better deal" from an another authorized dealer and did not get the same level of service. These guys are perfectionists, and when you have someone working in your car, these are exactly the kind people you want. They don't just make sure your installed equipment works and send you away. Steve (one of the owners) will sit in your car with you in order to understand what you want for your vehicle. He will also sit in your car with you after the install in order to make sure you got what you wanted. The shop also features the top American and European car audio brands making it a one stop shop for all your car audio/electronics needs. I had a car stereo and new speakers installed by SoReal Sounds and not only did they do a great job on the installation, they went over every option for stereos from most expensive to least expensive, took the time with me to narrow down what I needed/wanted and what I didn't until we picked the perfect system. They did the same with my speakers a few weeks later, to pick the perfect sounding speakers for my car with options to upgrade if needed! Not only are they knowledgeable they are very personable and easy to talk to. I don't know much about car stereos but they were able to explain everything in easy to understand terms. I drive a 2006 Subaru B9 Tribeca and have had problems finding an iPod integration kit for a while. The stereo is basically the dashboard so replacing it with an aftermarket unit is pretty much out of the question. I have tried many avenues, visited many audio shops, and returned many crappy FM transmitters and kits, to no avail. Luckily I found SoReal Sounds online and left a message explaining my issue. Excellent customer service and highly knowledgeable staff. Steve explained options available to upgrade my 2007 Ford F150 OEM radio. Had a Kenwood DDX-790 installed. Very satisfied with both my new system and SoReal Sounds experience. Had one minor issue related to passenger airbag light not working which generated a trouble code 18 (passenger airbag lamp detect failure), which Hans quickly determined problem was a burned out lamp. He then went to the nearby Ford dealer after determining they had the part in stock. Problem resolved after new lamp was installed. That's what I call going the extra mile. Super service! Customer service is what its all about! My Audi dealer recommended SoReal Sound for a remote start on my new Q7. I was a little concerned about installing an aftermarket remote starter on a new car 5 years later I am happy I did. I have dogs and need to keep the AC on if I need to stop at a store... Years later I wanted to add Carplay to my pickup. After year and a half I started having issues with the connection. Steve easily could have said it was out of warranty or it was a problem with my phone but he did not he was just focused on getting it fixed and that he did! I had problems with my radio in my car and the other stores wanted money just to check it. I went to SoReal Sounds and met Steve and Hans and told them my problems I was having with my radio. They fixed the problem for free, my radio needed to be tweaked a bit. While I was in the store Hans and Steve explain to me why this problem happened. Love this place! Great customer service from these guys and work done the right way... I got a great custom sound system that I love, and being a girl, most of the time businesses try to rip us off. I got a great price and the final product looks amazing. I went back a couple months later with electrical issues in my pretty blue 6-speed manual TSX, and they helped me in just a couple of hours.
