Very responsive in a timely manner & executed icing cupcakes in a difficult dark navy blue perfectly. Soft moist cake & buttery cream frosting so much better than the hard, over-sugary frosting found in store brands. read more

Ohhh so good. I ordered 5 dozen of 3 different flavored cupcakes from Grace for a baby shower. From the initial order to pickup, Grace communicated early and often. Everyone at the baby shower raved the cupcakes were the best ever and very moist. Grace is all about the details. The cupcakes were individually wrapped with a parchment type paper that exposed the top of the cupcake. This wrapping protected the cupcake and icing. The box that contained the cupcakes was a tasteful shade of pink and the classic bag that transported up to 2 boxes was a clear plastic with a sturdy white cardboard bottom and the handles and the accents were a crisp white. Her logo and branding was understated elegance. Yes, details matter. It is evident that Grace puts thoughtful details in all that she does to deliver a tasty product in a tasteful manner. Grace is customer focused. She reached out to me after the event to make sure everything was ok and to know if I was happy with the cupcakes. This was an effortless transaction. Grace is my go to for my speciality cakes and cupcakes events. Call Grace, you will not be disappointed. Thank you Grace! read more

Grace is the best! She made the most delectable cupcakes for my daughter's college graduation party. Selecting flavors was a fun challenge (she offers so many good options!). We decided on vanilla, green tea, and Snickers--all of which were amazing! Eating the cupcakes was an experience that we all enjoyed and continue to rave about. Grace was a valued partner throughout the entire ordering process. She coordinated with me in advance to receive cupcake toppers that I made so that I wouldn't have to rush to add them before the party. She also arranged for delivery of the cupcakes so that we could focus on the graduation ceremony and receiving guests for the party. Like I said, Grace is the best! read more

Delicious! I got vanilla/vanilla cupcakes made for my Prince-themed baby shower back in September. Folks are STILL asking me about the fabulous cupcakes. The cakes were beautiful and moist. The icing is absolutely perfect and the cake was bursting with flavor. And Grace made my cupcakes purple, which worked so well with the theme. read more

This is my first Yelp review and it's a little long! I use Yelp all the time & this time was no different. I needed a cake for my son's birthday and we normally just do a sheet cake but wanted something special for his first "big party" with lots of friends and our big family (normally just family and a few friends). We found Sophisticake on here and read all of the reviews before contacting Grace. I'm so happy to say that her reviews did not fail me! She was very helpful with giving us her opinion and different options as we had a budget and didn't know exactly what we wanted (just the theme). The cake was perfect! The look was great which my son was overly excited about! But the taste! The taste was even better! We went with chocolate and everyone loved it! I can't wait to work with Grace again! read more

Grace thank you again for my lovely tropical cupcake and my custom cake. The flavors were so delicious. The cake were moist and the butter cream was light and fluffy. I picked my Items up the night before my event. I didn't put my cakes in the fridge because I was worried they would get dried out. Needless to say I left them out and the butter cream held up very good. My guest enjoyed them so much . I don't think I had one cupcake left back. Grave was so easy to work with and bought everything I envisioned to life. Thank you again Grace. I will be using you again in the future. read more

I found Grace through Yelp, and I'm so glad that I looked here to find a cake baker for my son's first birthday cake. Grace lived up to her great reviews and flawless rep; the cake that she made for my son's Curious George themed birthday was beautiful, whimsical, and delicious. With her five-star average, I expected only the best and I was not disappointed. The cake was so moist and delicious. I took a chance and went with a simple cake flavor, banana, but Grace still managed to make banana cake as sophisticaked (see what I did there?) and light-tasting as they come. The cream cheese frosting on the inside was divine. So many party guests came to me after sampling a slice and asked, wide-eyed, "where'd you get the cake from?!" I proudly told them and offered to send them her info for their next event.I also appreciated that the cake was understated, not too over-to-the-top. As characteristic of everything I've seen posted here for her, Grace's creation for my son's milestone event was elegant while still matching the tone of a first birthday--playful and youthful. I think the elegance of her cakes is what drew me to Grace's work initially, and I assure you now that if you are going for more refined looking cakes, Grace is the best choice. To summarize, Sophisticake cakes are beautiful, classy, light, and scrumptious. Highly recommended. read more
