The name Soothe is definitely not matching with the experience I am having with them. Got a gift card to Soothe and I was so surprised to find out that they do not have a physical location, I have to use an app to request masseur to my house. To get a quote, I had to create an account with them which is annoying and inconvenient, not to mention that after I created my credentials their app/website bugged out and froze on me multiple times. A comment mentioned that i can message them on instagram to get a quote which I did, they were so "helpful" by telling me I can get one from their website. My friend and I booked over a month ahead of time for my Bachelorette party for massages and facials. I found a better deal on massages with another group and canceled the Soothe reservation. I heard that Soothe doesn't pay their masseuses well, and most of the money goes to the company and not to the employees! We still kept the facials even though they were overpriced. They had us pay over a week ahead of time, and then six days before our event, they cancel because they didn't even have an esthetician that picked up our event. One person on here posted that soothe does not have a rebook option but that is actually not true, you can rebook there is a button for it. Whoever comes to your home will be in your history. Soothe is awesome. I didn't expect to like it as much as I did, and if you're considering it, you probably are in the same boat. Think about it from the perspective of all the stuff you don't have to do. You don't have to drive anywhere, get dressed in any robes, you don't have to hand someone money (tip is included) and afterwards, the THERAPIST leaves and you can just enjoy being home. The other reviews are right though, my street has tricky parking and if you're not clear about that when you book the appointment your therapist can get into trouble. I just had my first ever soothe massage and it was a-MA-zing!! Like seriously. So awesome to not have to stress about getting somewhere on time and when it was done I could just chill- didn't have to drive home and sit in traffic etc. So nice!! And my therapist was the bomb and super professional! The lack of a 5 star rating is for a couple reasons. First was I tried to book an on demand massage and they couldn't find a therapist so it got cancelled. Kind of a bummer. They did call to let me know but a credit towards a future massage would've been nice. Then for the amazing massage I got I scheduled in advance and it was days before it was confirmed. That was a little frustrating because I needed to know if I should schedule somewhere else and the longer I waited the smaller my options became. Not sure why it took so long and there was no communication. Then when it was booked I used the app to "contact my masseuse". I tried texting but got a bounce back text telling me to call. So I called the soothe concierge and they tried to contact my therapist. They couldn't get through so they took a message to pass on and I never heard back from my therapist or the concierge. So that was a bit frustrating but everything worked out!! I love this service and will definitely use it again- there's just a couple things to work on before the five stars. Tried to book a massage at 10pm for 11:15pm (next available). 1st time user. Got a call at 11:05pm from LA saying that they could not find a someone to come out here in this area (San Diego). It seems to me this is a company out of LA who tries to get massage therapist to contract their calls. The problem is they have a small network. SO..... Don't count on getting a massage at the time that you book. There is a good chance that may not happen. They only put a hold on your card until the massage is complete then you are charged, so your card is never actually charged. I did request some type of credit or discount to keep me as a customer and to try again another time. They obliged. What a brilliant service! Massage therapists at your house, book with an app and request massage within an hour.....wow! This is my dream (and I think lots of mom's, busy people, or just people who like me like to sneak in bed after massage and not worry about driving etc. Most of my regular massage therapists have busy practices and can't do home visits, I found Soothe to be a great alternative! So far, 5 stars for the service. Now, the therapists, wow, my massage was beyond my expectations, I am very picky, but my therapist (female) was very very good, with lots of experience and did just an amazing work. My husband (we booked a couple massage) also had a female therapist and was his first "real" massage, she did a very good job making him feel comfortable. The professionalism, the punctuality, the treatments, all get my 5 stars! I had a really bad back injury and my chiropractor suggested that I try massage. I was super skeptical at first, but it turned out pretty cool. They're open pretty much whenever and every therapist seems really cool. Not all therapists are created equal, I definitely found some that work better with me than others.
