BUT... I had some pain in my neck and shoulders and my therapist went of script amd really helped that area. The two big issues were that we could hear a lot of noise from the lobby which took you out of the mood. And when we were still dresssing a lady walks in on us. Obviously she was embarrassed and we were a bit shocked. We were partially dressed but she should have knocked. Add to this -while we were still dressing- she started to clean the room. It was just off putting. We will be back but having the lady walk in in us was just not a great way to end the massage.

Lots of places don't have time slots that work for 9-5ers like myself. Anyway, parking can be a bit challenging in that area near the beach, but I found a spot close by. I was warmly greeted at the door. The lobby area has a large wall of products for sale. Also, there was cute artsy jewelry to look through. There is also a relaxing lounge to wait in, but I didn't have to wait at all. They were ready for me, even though I was a few minutes early. I don't remember the name of the person who gave me the facial, but she was great. She asked me a few questions about my skin. She also made some simple conversation in the beginning, but then was quiet so I could relax. I really liked the different masks and products they used. I felt like my skin was soft and hydrated at the end. The stuff smelled great too! I also like that I didn't feel pressured to get additional treatments or to buy anything in the end. The only thing that was a bit disappointing is that from the questions asked, I didn't really feel like they reviewed that questionnaire that you fill out before I come in. Maybe they did, but forgot some things. Regardless, it did not take away from my experience

I did not want to have to write this. I've been a loyal client of Therapy since 2014 and was…read moreunderstanding when prices went up a few times, especially since everything else has gotten more expensive. I believed the new owners were using the extra funds to upgrade the spa, buy new equipment and pay employees better, at least according to their emails. Sadly, there's been a rapid decline in the business. The spa now looks dingy and neglected, and there's a foul odor throughout. The quality of facial and massage services dropped so much due to the constant turnover that I had to stop coming altogether. I had been seeing Chelsea Bowman and the master facialist Ami Sheneman for years. Both left, and no one contacted me to let me know I wouldn't be seeing them for my next appointment. I only found out when I showed up and discovered I'd be seeing someone else. The new girl Kendall, bless her heart--she tried her best, but it just wasn't the same. On top of it when I asked the girls at the desk where Chelsea and Ami went, each time they looked scared and uncomfortable answering. For anyone wondering where Ami went: I found her! She's now at Pier to Point down the street at the other end of Voltaire. I've already been there and signed up for multiple memberships. I highly recommend you do the same. It's such a shame about this spa since it's been part of the community for so long. Edit in response to the owner's comment: Thank you for your response. I want to clarify that my review was written in good faith based solely on my personal experience as a long-time client of your spa. I did not create my account with any intention of coordinating negative reviews or promoting a competitor. I have never had a Yelp account prior to this, which is why it is new. I've also never left a Google review prior to this either. My intention was to share my honest disappointment about the recent changes and lack of transparency when my preferred practitioners left, which significantly impacted my experience. I understand privacy policies, but as a loyal client, I felt it would have been more considerate to inform me prior to my appointment that my practitioners would no longer be there, enabling me to make the decision if I wanted to see someone new or not. This would have allowed me to cancel, so I could continue my services with the professionals I had established trust with. I stand by my original review and hope future communication with clients will be handled with greater openness and respect. Thank you.

It also saves time when we have limited time without out kiddo. The tables, heating pads, sheets, blankets, etc. make the experience very similar to what you'd get going out, and they bring the music, essential oils, everything needed-I'm always so impressed at their efficiency! Check her out! --- It's been awhile since I've had an AMAZEBALLS massage - The last massage I got was at a student massage center and normally, they are fine but this last time, I felt like the therapist was just using the tips of his fingers and was prodding at my skin. I also failed to specify that I wanted a female so I wasn't the most comfortable (totally my fault). If you enjoy FIRM pressure, go see Florence. She was super sweet, really listened to some of the problems areas I was dealing with, and just worked away the knots. Deep tissue massage is too much for me to handle and is not relaxing at all; swedish massages can be so light even if I say they can add more pressure. The pressure was just the perfect in-between and hopefully I can make it back before I move away from SD.

This is his spot so I said I would give it a try, although my typical massage is in a more spa like setting. The place is not much to look at... a reception area, community style low beds for the foot massage/reflexology stuff and then a few private full body massage rooms, downstairs and up. Just like at the spas, you strip down to your comfort level and shortly after the masseuse entered and gets to work to get those knots out. My masseuse ensured my comfort level throughout and ask if the pressure was good a few times. Small talk was not made just a great rub down received. Only negative worth mentioning was that he went to answer his phone at some point during my massage... was not gone long but still, then it rang again later and he ignored it (thankfully) but I still had to be disrupted with the annoying ringtone. Regardless I will say the massage was much needed and completely relaxing during & well after it was finished.
