Very Disappointed! My warranty after years has expired. I expected to see someone on my last visit but instead the very young boy came up front in the waiting room with a tray he held out in front of me. I was to take off my hearing aids and set them on the tray. He barely said a word. He took them back to clean them and that was it. I asked if I was going to sit and talk with someone and he said no that's it. I asked about continued service he went back and gave me a flyer with their costly prices. I thought if they wanted me to continue with them they would have sat down with me. So I will move on with service elsewhere. read more

My experience at this clinic was highly disappointing. We were referred here for a wider selection of hearing aids, but the sales lady was only interested in pushing a premium model costing over $11,000-$5,000+. When we asked for budget-friendly alternatives, she showed us two options but claimed we couldn't try them on( not available currently). Her demeanor instantly became impatient and dismissive. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable for a healthcare clinic. Please avoid this. read more

Because my husband is a truck driver, it makes it almost impossible to request time off that coordinates with Dr. availability and hrs of operation. This office has canceled/rescheduled two times for the same appointment recently and canceled/rescheduled on the 1st initial visit. We loose $300-400 a day if his wheels aren't rolling. So they have cost us almost a $1000 loss. The one time they did see us, staff seams nice, technician who cleaned out his hearing aids was great. I wish I could visit his original location but it's in Lancaster almost two hrs from where we live now. It was much better customer service. Not, Dr had emergency twice or the equipment broke this morning! Our time is money. You wouldn't appreciate us not showing up for scheduled appts. keeping you from scheduling paying patients. He is due for new hearing aids, how am I supposed to get him seen. Called another office near City of Hope Duarte. Left several msgs over several days over a week. No call back, no pick up, nothing! This is sad considering his aids are his life, if he can't hear, he can't work or work safely. Wish this office took that more seriously! Do better for the hearing impaired! read more

Have been coming here to Glendora office for the last few years and have continuesly had great customer service and the doctor listens to the patients needs. They always have appointments available when I need them and take care of the problem no matter what it is. The Drs have been great although they're often changing, the care and concern for the patient is always there as well as the amazing service!! I have gone to other locations to ask for batteries or supplies I might need and the staff are always rude do instead I'd rather just make the drive out to Glendora where I know I'll be treated well and my needs taken care of. read more

Having to get a hearing aid in one ear for mild to moderate hearing loss in my early 60's would have been mych worse if I didn't have Sonus in Glendora handling my treatment and care plan. I had a rough morning where my hearing aid quit working. I called the Upland Office where my hearing aid was purchased. I've never been treated so RUDELY by Irene. After being told I could only come on Wednesday (I can't because I babysit Grandchildren) she told me I'd have to wait 2 weeks. I called the Glendora office and was treated like a human being! She offered to have me come by after lunch to look at my hearing aid. Super friendly, welcoming, and I was in and out of there in 15 minutes. I wish all your offices would help customers when a hearing aid is not working, instead of telling us to wait at least 2 weeks. I cannot hear without them, and I depend on them to survive daily. This is the second time in a month that these aids quit on me. I have put in a request with my insurance company to find a different provider after my first experience this morning. Sonus can do better than hiring rude people that obviously have to deal with patients. We are your livelihood. read more

So my primary care provider, for some reason, referred me to an audiology clinic an hour away in Glendora instead of the one (in the same network) that was practically next door to where I live. My insurance would only cover the most basic, no-frills hearing aids, and I was not prepared to pay thousands out of pocket for instruments that, even at the top end, are notoriously fragile and unreliable. But, I appreciate sound quality. I'm not a hard-core audiophile, but I do own decent studio monitors and amp-driven, over-the-ear headphones. So in a nutshell, I'm cheap AND picky. Ergo, the audiology patient from hell. The initial fitting did not go well. With my audiogram programmed in but most settings at factory default, I could only tolerate them for a couple of hours a day, with most sounds shrill and oscillating, like referee whistles. It was so annoying I had to tear them out of my ears and lie down until the headache went away. Jennifer, the clinic manager and dispenser, was sympathetic and patient with me, and I had my third follow-up with her a couple of days ago. Well, the referral and subsequent commutes to Glendora turned out to be a blessing in disguise, as I'm happy to report that Jennifer solved all the issues I was having with background hiss, warbling voices and the cutting in and out and moving left and right of constant sounds like fans and faucets. The sound is so natural now that for the first time in a month and a half I actually forgot I had my hearing aids in and almost wore them into the shower. The only thing I notice now is how low-pitched and muffled everything is when I take them out at bedtime after painlessly wearing them all day. Thanks, Jennifer and Sonus! read more

They only do hearing tests one day a week. It is incredibly hard for me to get days off of work, because I am a health care provider and I do not think it is right to cancel on them. I have been trying for six months to schedule an appointment with Sonus, but due to the limited number of testing days available (Four a month). I tried calling all the other branches to see when their days are, because the specific sites are unable to tell me any information about the other sites. All in all I probably spent about two hours on the phone getting my appointment. Today I spent the 30 minutes battling traffic, only to be told on arrival that the appointment was cancelled. What kind of company would not have the decency to give me a call to let me know this before making the drive? Guess I won't be able to get my hearing checked after all. read more

My mother has gone to this place for many years. It wasn't until the staff changed when things became very difficult. I don't really know much about the changes they're making but initially they requested that my mother were to get her new hearing aids all the way in Long Beach, which is very far from where we live so it's very inconvenient. One day my mother had an appointment at Glendora and the receptionist was uncooperative because my mother needed to hand her a paper given by her doctor but the lady only took a glance at it and did not accept it. My mother only speaks Spanish and understands some English, and the lady only spoke English so the language barrier must've made the receptionist very annoyed since she would not help my mother. I understand that not everyone speaks Spanish but putting the effort to at least try to understand and guide the patient is what should've been done. When I called the receptionist through the phone she mentioned how my mother "told her that she was being covered by a church and that a church was going to pay for my mother's ear molds" and how she found that unacceptable. That statement sounds ridiculous and when I asked my mother she was so confused because she never even mentioned a church. My mother never had any problems like this before, we thought we could trust this company like we've always had before these complicated changes. read more

Poor customer service! After a two week wait, we received a call that the hearing aide is ready for pick up. We arrived for our appointment and were told that the device is not ready, we"ll call you in two weeks. We were told the device malfunctioned and had to be returned. A courtesy call the day prior or even the morning of the appointment would have been nice. My parents live an hour from me and I had to pay an attendant to take them. That expense could have been avoided with a simple courtesy call!!! I will take my business elsewhere thank you! read more

My elderly mother went to Sonus for hearing aids. My mom was not familiar with the coverage that her insurance provided for hearing aids and didn't ask her children for help. The office never asked her for her insurance card. They were not a provider in her network so they would have lost her business had they asked. Even after my mom informed them that she could only afford one hearing aid they never asked about insurance. She paid $2,000 for one hearing aid. She had coverage where she could have received two hearing aids for the same price. It's so disappointing that they would take advantage of an elderly person that obviously did not have money to spare. After she lost this hearing aid, she informed me of this encounter and I found a provider across the street from this office! I was told that the office should have asked for insurance information prior to providing care. So shameful that they would take advantage of people that are struggling financially!! read more
