Valerie asked a lot of questions to see what was it like with my daily struggle of having one hearing aid, not being able to hear well with other people or being in a big loud environment. She made sure to help me find a good hearing aids that works out for my budget and also the style of hearing aids for my liking. I made and appointment and on the say of my appointment, the wait time for me to be called was short. While I was waiting, the receptionist even had to deal with a cantankerous man trying to con them out of getting free batteries for his hearing aid. He was difficult. Certainly one of those situation where many receptionists may lose their patience. The way the receptionist handled that situation was quite masterful in customer service; polite and respectful but not letting him get away with that.

However, she recently moved to Santa Clarita to be closer to us and we took her to this office today. According to her, this is the nicest, most professional and friendly office staff with all the up-to date equipment. Her hearing aid stopped working. It was purchased at a different audiology department. Audiology Associates sent the hearing aid out for repairs and contacted the previous business where it was purchased to get the most up to date records. The staff communicated regularly with my mother-in-law and kept her informed during the entire process. The hearing aid was fixed a week sooner than expected. It was very easy to make the appointments. Once the new settings were dialed in they told her she could come in any time without an appointment for any type of adjustments. The technician showed how to clean around the filter where wax was accumulating. The wax was barely visible. She used a small brush to clean the area around where the filter is inserted. The audiologists and technicians that I have seen only instructed me on how to change the filter. The office also sells small cleaning kits for $3.00.

As painful as it was to turn another chapter in the "growing old" handbook Charles Brrejcha made the experience bearable. He is extremely well educated and knowledgeable. I am now hearing things I hadn't heard in a while, and will in time come to terms with wearing hearing aids. I can't recommend him and his practice enough.
