I have taken both my parents to this place and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else because once they collect money from your insurance company they don't care about following up or giving you any services. My mother has an issue with her hearing aid and for the last 10 days I've been calling and leaving 5 messages and mentioning that it's an urgent matter and until this moment nobody has responded back. COVID-19: Social distancing is enforced at this establishment. All of the staff wears a mask. All patients are expected to wear a mask too. The staff also wears gloves. There are some hand sanitizers available for patients to use. This place is open, but at limited capacity. They are also sanitizing in between patients. COVID-19 Vaccination Proof: This establishment currently does not require proof of vaccination. They do not allow pets in their establishment unless it is a service animal. Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is pretty massive. However, this massive parking lot is shared by several other doctor's offices. So, the lot does get full very quickly. If the lot is full, park on the street. Staff: The staff here are very kind, efficient, professional, and courteous. They accept both cash and credit cards. What an amazing experience my parents had at Sonus- Arcadia. Lenny is an amazing clinic manager who runs a wonderful clinic. My mom needed a hearing test and their office was able to check her insurance ahead of time to let me know if there is a co-pay. Her front desk, Rosa, was so warm and helpful with the check-in process. The audiologist, Sue Bray, was so caring, thorough, and kind. They even had a mandarin translator on-site, Kelly, who made my parents feel right at home. I was very nervous that my parents do not speak English well but my mom said they took such good care of her and this was the best doctors appointment she has ever had in her entire life. My first pair of hearing aids lasted me six years, at the time I had really good health insurance. So I was able to purchase there top of the line. I needed a new pair of hearing aids, but I had ok insurance. They were able to get me new new set that works great. There customer service is great and I recommend them to everyone. read more

Amy at this office is exceptional. Prior to the pandemic, my dad had been a patient at the office for years. Since the pandemic, I have had to bring him myself. Amy is professional, patient, kind, respectful, compassionate, and knowledgeable. I am also a healthcare provider and was impressed with her "bedside manner" at every appointment. My dad has severe hearing impairment. I observed how well she performed the hearing test and the hearing device my dad has now is perfect. I'm happy to report a more recent and very happy experience at this location. I hadn't realized this is a franchise but it's where my mom got her referral for her hearing test so that's how we ended up here. But it's been a great experience. Her audio technician did a great job thoroughly checking my mom's hearing and being very patient with her (wish I remembered her name). Once it was determined she needed hearing aids we met with Charlene and she was wonderful too. She explained the apparatus to me and gave me the best price she could. It was a bit of sticker shock but I understand the situation since Medicare does not cover hearing aids (they should). The day we returned to pick-up my mom's hearing aids we met with Charlene again and she took her time to explain everything to me and was very helpful answering all my questions. My mom is thrilled with her new hearing aids and I'm really happy this office and its staff made it a good experience. Thank you all so much, especially Charlene. read more

I thought the San Gabriel location was bad, but this place was just as bad! HOLY CRAP!! My mom and my grandpa scheduled an appointment to come in for hearing aids, they came in on the day they were scheduled, my brother took half day off work to go with them so he can translate for them, but the staff COULD NOT FIND THE APPOINTMENT IN THEIR SYSTEM! Are you F*CKING kidding me?! They went back and forth and denied scheduling them for the appointment, until the staff that scheduled them REMEMBERED that she did. They rescheduled my grandpa. Strike One. They returned for the second appointment, got tested and sent home. We did not receive any calls or letters in the mail or any OTHER communications from this crappy place. It was WEEKS and finally his PCP told my mom that the request was DENIED. REALLY?! You don't call your clients now? So his insurance denied his NEED for hearing aids. If I were you, I'd call the patient and explain that the claim was denied. "We can try another route OR you can purchase it out of pocket from us". That's how a business savvy BUSINESS or person/owner SHOULD conduct business. You guys obviously don't care about your clients/patients. You'd figure a facility would check a patient's insurance benefit to see if hearing aids were covered or not. That's why you ask for their insurance information on their first visit to the office!! IS IT NOT?!! Don't call yourself PROFESSIONALS, you don't freaking deserve it! Your establishment obviously doesn't want or need any business. WTF??!!! IDIOTS. Do not get your hearing aid at Sonus in Arcadia. They are incompetent and unprofessional. We still have not received our refund for the hearing aid we returned. Even though we returned it shortly (less than 2 weeks) and we have 75 days to return for a full refund. Also, they do not answer the phone. All calls go to voicemail. They do not respond to messages. So essentially all communications requires traveling to the office to speak with the the incompetent receptionist. Costco offers better service at a fraction of the cost. read more

HORRIBLE!!!!!! Don't come here!!!!! After waiting 20min in the waiting room, I was called in only to be told that the code on my referral form was wrong. The lady at the front desk was incompetent because she couldn't get anyone on the phone from my doctor's office. However, when I tried calling someone, I talked to someone right away. I had emailed them my referral form so they should have caught that error immediately. Then they insisted on taking the next patient and skipping over my appointment and were rude in doing so. I love Sonus. Charlene and Ioana are fantastic and care and cater to their patients. I do not know what I would do without them. Trying to navigate a hearing aid and comprehend the use of it can be difficult at times, but they are so helpful and accommodating. Due to my previous multiple unsatisfactory experiences with the audiologist from a different Sonus location, I have once decided never go back to Sonus again. Last month I needed another new pair of hearing aids, but found out that my insurance has only contracted with Sonus, so I had no choice but to stay with Sonus again.
