I was a Tattoo Artist here for three days didn't I think to check the reviews the shop had the owner which everyone knows by Cali which his real name is Isaac Martin has zero knowledge on how to Tattoo or even pull a line and takes pride in his ABC method like he likes to call it, which basically means as he explained it to me to take the clients money as fast as possible, and rush the tattoo and get them out. there is no procedures whatsoever to maintain a sterile environment and I was actually fired for wanting to actually provide a good service I will attach pictures of the last tattoo I did there, which was a pair of Latina girls that wanted matching tattoos I executed mine perfectly well. Zero stars Wanted to support business in the new neighborhood I moved into. My tattoo was super basic. Two short words, so simple an apprentice could do it.. Printed the words for the stencil and went it. Met the owner at the address listed. Place was empty but it was early on a Sunday so didn't think much of it. Told him what I wanted and he said '$100'. This seems high but it's been two decades since my last tattoo (was getting it for my birthday). He started fast talking about how many tattoo businesses he had and for how long... (Fast talkers are a red flag but I ignored this) Then he says the person is in another location (2nd red flag?). He calls her and shows her the tattoo printout and my face. He charges me there and I walk to the spot. In retrospect, this place was not up to hygiene standards. I didn't see her open a new needle, I don't remember gloves, antiseptic or a band-aid (all the red flags!). The stencil she created was gappy but I figured she got enough to create it.. I went to get an African deity and it didn't come out nowhere near the tattoo I wanted. First time I went there a girl told me $700 and I came back they changed it to $800 and I told them how I was told $700 before then they wanted to tell me the prices be changing, I should of looked at that as a red flag, so they took my $700 and I did through cashapp cali was telling me I have to send him $730 then I was iffy and he dropped it to $715. I wanted to use the bathroom shorty told me the bathroom didn't work but yet I've seen her and tattoo artist using the bathroom. I sat there for a good 25 mins waiting for dude to finish drawing what I wanted and when he got started he was telling me how he has to leave soon so he started rushing on my tattoo not really paying attention to details and missed a whole lot. THIS DUMP WEARS ITS TERRIBLE REVIEWS LIKE A BADGE OF HONOR. The men who run it are extremely unprofessional, ignorant, verbally abusive, and misogynistic. I stopped by the location on the coliseum block on Sunday 5/26. There was only one employee there named Kat who was tattooing someone when I arrived. She walked over to me and I told her I needed a septum ring and help putting it back in. She charged me $50 for the ring and the service. Then she called her manager, Cal, to let him know and he told her she couldn't do it for me because she was in the middle of tattooing and that I had to walk over to their other location. I thought it was strange, but didn't pushback too much since I had already been charged and saw their "NO REFUND" policy blasted all over the place. I also heard him talking down to another female customer who had an inquiry with Kat. I told him I was on a time crunch and he agreed I could come back another time when they were open. He did not specify that I needed to be seen by Kat. I returned on Wednesday 5/29 and there were 2 women there; neither of them were Kat. I told one of them I was there to get the service that I had already paid for. She called her manager, but it was a different guy this time (WISH I COULD REMEMBER HIS NAME). He told me it was my problem I chose to pay for a service and then not follow through with the instructions to visit the other store on the same day, and that I needed to come back when Kat was there because the agreement was with her. I told him they should all be in communication about their policies, and that it wasn't cool that they collect payments without informing customers that they won't be providing the service at the location they are visiting. He said they are a joint location and operate together - I responded that the locations are obviously disjointed since they don't communicate with one another. He didn't much like that, but stated he could assist me then at the location at 92-20 Union Hall Street. I thought he was attempting to provide service recovery but he only lured me over there to try to belittle me and to retaliate because I had defended myself. As soon as I arrived he started speaking on logic and that I lacked any after paying for a service and not following through. I told him I wasn't there for him to mansplain his take on logic, and that he could refrain from his condescending comments. I should have walked away by then, but really wanted to get it done. He walked me over to the piercing station and started asking me personal questions about what I do for work and how much I make for a living. I told him to refrain from asking me personal questions but he insisted. It was so manipulative because he masked it as if he was just trying to make small talk and again provide what I thought was service recovery. After he asked me 3 times I told him I'm a manager at a hospital. He proceeded to "attempt" to put the septum ring in my nose. He said it was closed and that I should know piercings close after 3 days because I work in a "doctors office". He said "you're just an administrative assistant, you must be broke since there's no way you make more than $80,000 and you shop on Jamaica ave. I'm rich I make 7 figures." I was seriously taken aback. I had him give me my ring back and told him that I was leaving. He proceeded to say as I was walking out that I was an idiot for leaving because I needed my septum repierced and that he is the best piercer in the city, and that no one else could do it for me because he runs the whole establishment. He said that he knows what people like me come to this country for (I am Latina). I told him that I was born and educated here, and he responded "but not your parents". I came in and showed him the designed and he said $150, i thought ok $150 for the whole thing it's overpriced but ok; when he meant $150 for each hand. And at the time i did not care to pay $300, when he saw i only had $200 he said it would be ok and he'd do it for $200. My friend was supposed to help me pay by sending him a cashapp payment of $100, but didn't at first so i handed Cali the $200. TERRIBLE SERVICE!! The owner verbally abused and harassed my friend and l after trying to negotiate a price on a tattoo that they were severely overpricing. We had explained that we completely respect that they're charging What they believe their services are worth but we have gotten bigger and more detailed work done for less money so we respectfully declined the offer and tried to leave, upon that the owner decided to negotiate a reasonable price with us so that he would not lose the money but said we would have to pay for the service in advance. Once we had tapped our card to pay he immediately started attacking us calling us "broke" and threw his car keys at us saying " take a good look at these keys because yall will never see money like this again In your lives" and went as far as calling us ghetto for not being willing to spend the price they quoted us EVEN THOUGH HE OFFERED TO GIVE IT TO US FOR LESS. Once the designs were printed out we had asked if they could reprint the design smaller because they were way bigger than the inspiration photos we had shown them, and their response was "are you really going to make me waste printer paper?" then they started to gaslight us by saying we need the design bigger because we're gonna get fat when we're older and we should be listening to people with money since we're broke... after getting fed up with how rude the customer service was we had just decided to not get the services done at all and asked for our money back but the owner refused to give it to us saying there's absolutely no refunds even for a service that has not been given. So I recently went there yesterday. They were so nice and helpful I didn't have the full money for tattoo but they worked with me and we found a good price range of what I could afford. The whole atmosphere was just peaceful like one where you're hanging out with your friends. I got a Koy fish tattooed on my thigh and I forgot to tip my tattoo artist but they said it was fine and that I could come back to tip them which is what I'm doing today. This establishment is an abomination to any representation to tattoo parlors. The owner Isaac 'Cali' Martin should not be able to easily scam people with his heinous policies. He has employees that do not have proper certifications to perform the services he is providing. He is by far the rudest "Owner" I have ever encountered. As an owner to a few establishments myself I can easily say he lacks professionalism. I'm in shock that he is actually still in business. He is incognizant to the industry! He is just an individual who is scamming customers so he can pay his locations rent. Unfortunately I was in the area to try an old pizzeria with my family when my son just randomly asked to pierce his ear; unfortunately we stumbled across this horrendous establishment. The employees were very helpful but the piercer did not know what she was doing. He did not want neither myself nor my husband go accompany our child to get his ears pierced. I guess his policy is above the law. They messed up my sons piercing. He literally had 3 different holes poked from the piercer retrying. As an owner he took no accountability and was not remorseful whatsoever for ruining my 11yo sons experience. I went in to get my ears pierced and was told the piercing for 2 ears was 50$, cool I paid before I got the service and sat down in the chair, he pulled out some earrings and I said no I have my own earrings to put in, he then said that he would have to use the needle for that and that I would have to pay another 50$, I thought that was a little fishy so I said hold on let me call my wife for advice, he then rushes me saying that he is super at is other shop. He pierced my sister on an angle so now it's slightly crooked. He put to small of a barbell on one of my nipples and I had to go to another place to get it fixed. Piercers don't sterilize, use gloves and they overcharge. I got an industrial here and the piercer knew that I did not have the anatomy for it and pierced me without marking it anyway. I ended up getting an extra hole formed in my ear under the bar (anti helix region) because it was pressing into my skin due to poor placement. If you value your skin and health avoid at all costs. Owner will brag about how much money he makes and how he owns 5 shops. How come you only have one shop on your card? I worked here in 2021 and had to quit. This was the most toxic work environment I've ever witnessed and worked in! I was a piercer/manger-in-training/counter person (it wasn't a part of my job but I was also a personal assistant and babysitter at times while working here). The good thing I will say about working here was meeting the other employees who were friendly and talented. The bad things however all stem towards the husband/wife duo who were the bosses/owners. As I write this review, I am still owed money by them after I quit last year (I am debating whether to sue or not because it's not a lot of money I'm owed but it's still money I worked for and rightfully is owed to me still!) It's a new year and I have not seen a dime of it. Also, they have not sent me any of my tax forms for this year and they never even gave me tax forms to fill out when I started working for them last year. While I worked for them, they were late with my pay numerous times, with no apology or explanation why I wasn't getting paid on a promised pay date. The one good thing I have to say about them is they taught me how to pierce BUT they weren't at the same time, the best teachers (I was told to teach myself by watching YouTube piercings, which I did during work hours even and outside of work hours) and I was often forced to do piercings when I was new at it, that I wasn't familiar with or comfortable doing. There's MUCH more I can say about working here that isn't good and could possibly have their business shut down... but this is the shortened version of how bad it was working for these people. It's just funny how money hungry people are. I came here, got my septum re pierced here cause it closed. They told me septum not $20 no more and how it's $50. Cool. The short goofy looking black man with the big white teeth said he was gonna pierce it through the same spot and said that was why there was so much scar tissue and blood. I also spent $220 on back dermals from them. So $270 altogether. Never came back for a follow up or anything. I came in on Saturday cause I wanted them to screw the balls in for my septum ring cause my nails were too long. They say it's $10. My cousin and I got our noses pierced here. First of all he didn't sterilize anything infront of us. He didn't clean our noses either. Then he pierced our noses so fast the piercings ended up crooked. When my cousin went to confront him about it he argued with her and told her she was wrong and it was her fault the piercing came out crooked; he even had the nerve to say that maybe her nose is crooked not the piercing. In all honesty he shouldn't be in business without learning proper techniques and sterilization. read more

I came here to get a septum piercing, the place seemed very clean and professional, they didn't ask me to fill out a form or ask for parent consent, I'm 15, that was my first mistake. The lady brought me over to a room and put the clamps in my nose which were not septum clamps, she did not even look for the sweet spot in my nose to pierce, she pierced right through my cartilage which was very painful, any professional pierced should know that septum's should be pierced on the sweet spot not cartilage, I was in sore pain for a week and I left it for a month and it looked ridiculous, I took it out and now my nose is has permanent scar tissue, PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE FOR PIERCINGS read more

I wish I could give the owner 0 stars. He has a location on 165th street and Jamaica. My daughter came in to get a tattoo for her birthday. He charged her $250 for it. She waited more than an hour because his machine was broken. Meanwhile, the lobby became super crowded from other people waiting to get serviced. They asked my daughter if she could come back the next day to get her tattoo finished. Everyone knows that you cannot come back a day after to finish a tattoo because sensitive at that point. She didn't know. She came back the next day and they were unable to finish it then. They asked her to come back that next Saturday. When she came back, they couldn't finish it because the work they had previously done was not healed so they asked her to return the next week. She showed up and the location was closed. She made multiple calls and finally got the owner who then asked her to go to his location on Union Hall. She went there and when they saw the work previously done, they said it wasn't healed and she would have to return again. I called the owner to see what was going on because I felt like my daughter was getting the run around after she had already paid her money. The owner was very rude asking why was I calling and he had just spoken to my daughter. I explained to him that I was calling because she was getting the runaround and I wanted to ensure she would get her tattoo finished. This man started yelling saying black people don't know business. How can you work at an establishment where minorities frequent yet feel we aren't smart enough to know what's going on? My husband had to intervene in the call. At that point, the gentleman promised her tattoo would get finished the following week. I would not recommend this place at all. If he feels minorities are not smart enough to handle business. We should oblige him and boycott his shops. read more

My Tattoo came out exactly how It was supposed to. The artist was really nice and took his time. The Owner was super friendly and very reasonable. I will definitely be going back for the rest of my tattoos! read more
