I chose SonRise Mechanical after getting 10 other estimates to replace my entire HVAC system because it was 20 years old and had not worked in a few months. I am beyond happy with the work completed and the service they provide. Mike came out to do the estimate himself and was extremely thorough in examining the whole system. He was the only person who came out to discover the gaps in the upstairs ductwork and one of the only who even went upstairs. Mike's estimate was the only estimate I received which included replacing the ductwork and fixing the water output. He provided me with three different pricing options with different systems and we went with the Bosch system that has the option to use as a heat pump or gas. His pricing was right in the middle of the estimates I received but it was a much better system than any of the other options around the price range. I went with my gut and just knew Mike was the best option because he knows his stuff and really cares. Mike is a great communicator and gets back to you really quickly. He answered all of my questions and was clear on all aspects of the project. When Mike and Luis arrived to conduct the replacement I knew I had made the right choice. They immediately put down these tarps to make sure they didn't track dirt in the house. Throughout the whole project they were extremely tidy and the little mess they did make here or there, they made sure everything was very clean by the time they left for the day. Mike explained everything to me thoroughly and showed me how our old system had standing water and mold in it. He also made sure our carbon monoxide output was in a safe location because the previous location was extremely unsafe. He also came back today and installed an EcoBee thermostat after it was back in stock to ensure we have a monitor upstairs too because our thermostat is located in the coolest place in the house downstairs. My husband was in urgent care and Mike offered to have Luis bring me something from Starbucks. It was such a kind offer and went so far beyond any type of contractor service I've ever received. I am so glad we went with Mike and SonRise Mechanical. He goes above and beyond in his work and communication. Luis was also exceptional and consistent in his hard work. Our system is working amazingly and I am happy to have found someone like Mike to rely on for our future HVAC needs. If I could, I would give SonRise Mechanical 10 stars! Exceptional craftsmanship! We contacted Mike at SonRise to give us a quote to install a heat pump with splitters in our 112 year old home. His price was very reasonable, right on with what we expected to pay. He is so knowledgeable and experienced with heat pumps and the best manufacturers, explaining the pros and cons of each manufacturer to us. After some rainy weather postponed installation on the original date that had been scheduled, Mike and his assistant Luis came every day on time and had the job done in the estimated time as promised--four days! My one-year-old AC unit was installed by SonRise Mechanical Company. I notice the unit has been leaking whenever I turned it on. I sent an email message directly to Mike MacRoberts last Friday and he replied to my email and said he is going to stop by to take a look next Tuesday (which was yesterday) from 2 PM to 4 PM. We all agreed with it. I sent a confirmation to confirm the appointment for tomorrow (which was yesterday), but I didn't get a reply back. On Tuesday, I waited and waited but Mike MacRoberts never showed up. He was no show and no call. Please advise! read more

I am a senior citizen and in all of my years, I have never found a contractor as honest, knowledgeable, reliable, and who isn't afraid of hard work as Mike. Mike came out to check out an air conditioning unit installed by another company and he said there were a lot of problems with their work and to have them come back out. They came back and didn't do a good job the second time. Recently, I had Mike come back and I had the Air Conditioner and my Heating Unit replaced. I know that the job has been done correctly this time and I will sleep well knowing the job was done by Mike. If you think your contractor that is giving you an estimate is a bit off, call Mike at SonRise Mechanical. Our furnace in a rental went out, of course during the coldest times in SD County, and Mike came to our rescue. He immediately diagnosed the problem, gave us several options and ways to go knowing this was an unexpected expense for us.
