Three people provided me with INCORRECT guidance/directions in how to obtain my children's negative COVID results for our upcoming Hawaii trip. I did everything that. I finally get to speak with the correct person to provide me with our negative results, request to have them expedited because we are short on time (given all of the incorrect directions), just to be hung up on. Finally called Customer Service to file a complaint. Give yourself at least two hours to complete a simple task. read more

Coming here is a lot like going to the MVD: You get greeted by the people who are unhappy to be working there, and the people who are unhappy to be waiting. You take a seat and have no idea how long you're going to have to wait. Eventually you get called up, and they ask for papers you don't have, or don't understand, and then you get treated like an idiot. The people who actually performed the service were competent and efficient, and not all together unfriendly, and I sympathize with them, but in the end, I can't imagine anyone going here unless they absolutely have to. This place is horrible. I set up appointment for Earl location. 2 weeks later just prior to the appointment I received a letter out was closed. I went on the website and filled out another appointment after searching for Biometrics near me. Twice it sent me to a location on Washington. Got there for my appointment and was told Biometric test weren't performed there. They sent me to 5111 N Scottsdale. I was here 5th in line 10 minutes before opening. It's 80 minutes later, the waiting room is PACKED (COVID be damned), Im still not in, and was told 30 more... maybe. read more

I had to go have blood drawn the office staff was great. The first person could not find my vein and I was starting to get queasy. They sent in Vitore and she was amazing. She was very friendly and professional. She found my vein right away. She and her team were making sure I was taken care of when I was dizzy afterwards. All the staff I encountered were amazing. This place is a SCAM! I got a bill 6 months later for some random tests they decided to run when I had the annual exam. I requested to do the basic annual exam but this lab now claims that they tested for more stuff that I NEVER even requested nor needed and sent me a bill! Trying to dispute the charges but cannot reach anyone. They must keep a sample of my blood and whenever they feel like spamming people they decide to run more tests and send a bill. We keep getting notices in the mail that we need to pay for services. Every time we go there, they ask for insurance information (and we give it to them). Why are we getting bills that state we have not paid. I spoke with a supervisor today that indicated it would be taken care of and apparently, he had the information because he never asked for the insurance information. Well here we go once again. I have had the same insurance for years and go to Sonora yearly for my blood work. Then about a month later I receive a letter that they need my insurance info and a photocopy of my insurance card or I will have to pay out of pocket $800 BTW for a couple of blood test.. Well they always take a photo copy of the card at the front desk and I fill all the other info in as well on the form. Yet they almost never get it right in the past 20 years. I am not exaggerating. Before you could at least upload a photo of your card on the site when this happened. But you can't do that anymore. Everything is automated. Even customer service which has no option for the help I needed. And try and find an email address Good luck with that. So I go to the site hoping for the best and then I waste time filling everything out hit submit and keep getting error messages. So then I call on the phone and get nothing but automation. I hit zero and get a live person and she says I can't help you I'll connect you to the department that handles that. What did she do? Transfer me right back to the same automated system. This is pretty much what happens though when a place gets a monopoly. Oh and did I mention sometimes they either lose or mishandle my samples and call me back to take them again. Today i had again, as during the past, requested to have Edelyn at their Frye/Dobson location, draw my blood samples. I am very happy with how she flawlessly and expertly performed the task with ease. Edelyn had mentioned to me that her thorough knowledge and expertise was her work during the Gulf War in Iraq. I am so proud of her being a US Navy retired veteran, myself. She very professional with a good sense of humor. read more

This is the worst laboratory they take walkins but not really as they make you wait for hours as people with appointments come in late and still get put in front of you. When you ask the answer is always and hour wait most have to fast and it seems like they dont care or even try to make things faster I will do everything I need to not to go to Sonora Quest again. read more

Every time I go to Sonora quest there's a problem. This time I had to do a 48 hour urine collection. Not a terrible thing to do but not the easiest either. When I brought the container back to them today they told me it was the wrong container. It have to be a different container to test the metals in my body. Like how the heck should I know that. They gave me that container. can't they be tasked with the simplest of things like knowing which container to give somebody? Don't they read the lab orders? You would just think that the people that work there would know something like that. It's always so frustrating dealing with Sonoran quest. I won't go back to them again. They just don't give a sh*t. Not even covid-related: unprofessional staff, unbelievable wait times (even for temperature-sensitive drop-offs), refused to test samples well within their requirements. I'd heard bad things but genuinely thought they were outliers and I'd have a different experience, but at this point, it's just failure after failure to perform their services effectively! 1. Unfriendly front counter workers. 2. Friendly person took my blood but told me I would get lab results "in about 48 hours" 3. Stated on their paperwork - results take 7 - 14 days 4. It has been 21 business days and still NO results 5. You cannot get anyone on the phone, straight to voicemail 6. I left a voicemail a week ago trying to get results and no follow up (7 days later) 7. I sent an email today trying to get results on day 21 Give customers accurate information, provide good follow up and service until results have been provided to customers. Go elsewhere, there are plenty of providers that can do lab work in a timely manner. read more

Sonoraquest is the worst lab ever. Last summer, they screwed up two specimens. First specimen they let expire waiting for another code from the doctor. Second specimen they contaminated by adding a special preservative. Fast forward to today, my lab results I know are incorrect. I have no faith in their ability to do their jobs properly and don't trust the results at all. Thankfully, I change insurance soon and can go to Labcorp. And, yes, as other reviewers have stated, they get defensive when you point out their mistakes. read more

Okay... so no one really likes going to these places, let's be honest. I had to bring my 4 year old here for a blood test following a change to some medication. PARENTAL TIP: Bribes do not stop the screaming. We did not have an appointment because they didn't have early morning appointments for weeks. Still, I showed up shortly after 7:30 a.m. and since the patient was a fasting kid... they rushed her in within a few minutes. I have had both okay and great experiences here!Most phlebotomists there are good, but If you are afraid of needles, Vitori (I might be misspelling her name) is the best person I have ever had draw my blood! I took my wife to this location this morning for doctor ordered blood labs. Upon entering the office, while both of us were wearing masks, we noticed several people without masks. We also noticed there was no social distancing being enforced. Frankly, we were both quite apalled by the fact that a medical facility would run their offices in this way considering today Arizona posted the highest gain in COVID-19 cases to date. read more

It cleared the bank 6 days ago, today I received a voicemail with that account number as the reference. I called and got through after a 30 min hold. Went to the lab at 63rd and broadway last week. Very good check-in and fast scheduling- I was a walk-in due to feeling very light headed and weak, not a covid check. A result of cancer treatment drugs which is unpredictable but needed to exist. Location recommended. read more

Newly discovered location. I was impressed, the lab I usually go to no longer exists, so I had to find one at the last minute. I debated whether to make and appointment or do the labs without fasting. It was my choice. After the very helpful receptionist and I decided my schedule and theirs would not match up I decided to go for the walk in wait. To my surprise I did not have to wait long. A lady walked me back, went over my labs and what I had to do to complete and all was good. I tried to take note of her name, but it was not a common name. I could detect an accent as well. She was the best. No bruising from taking my blood! Yes this is unusual for me! I was happy. I left with time to visit my favorite Starbucks! Great job! read more

Horrible experience. I went in with my 20 month old child and they poked her 4 times and drew blood for only one of the total 5 tests her pediatrician ordered. Totally inexperienced and careless staff. I am not sure what the difference between routine and pediatric appoointments. I set up a pediatric appointment and the staff that drew blood dint even seem experienced to draw blood from adults. One of the ladies forgot to even bring the tubes to take the blood before poking her. Now I have another appointment set up for the rest of the tests at a different lab and I have to wait another 2 days for it and the results and delay in treatment based on it for the sick baby. read more

This is my second visit to this location. While I can't say the staff is the friendliest, they do get the job done. This location is very busy. The first time I was a walk in and it took about 40 minutes from check in to walking out the door. I would definitely suggest making an online appointment. For my second visit I walked into a standing room lobby. Thank goodness I did have an appointment for 9:45 am. I checked in at 9:39 and was driving away at 9:55. If you can at all, please avoid going to the Sonora Quest Lab in Oro Valley! I have gone there for years and the personnel they have right now is awful, no greetings, no "hi" just barking orders in a very mean spirited tone. The worst is a tech named Sloan Adkins, please don't let her touch you! Not once did she smile or even make eye contact. She spoke in a drill Sargent tone and was so condescending in everything she said. She is a terrible representative of SQ and really should get a job where she never has to interact with the public. More often than not I need to go up to the desk and ask what the delay is considering they're not terribly busy and my appointment was 20 minutes past. I went to Sonora Quest Labs website and made appointments for the next six months. I am a kidney transplant candidate and Mayo Clinic wants monthly labs. Due to the Corona virus they are now just taking lab work by appointment. I filled out the forms and made appointments through February only to arrive this morning and be told that I had NO appointment. The person at the window was rude and when I questioned and tried to explain that I had made appointments through their website she said that I didn't appear on her computer and that she could "throw me out" of the office! I have never been subjected to such rude and unprofessional treatment in my 73 years of existence. I am a former trial attorney, I did not yell or curse to the employee and I do NOT believe that a patient should be threatened by a Lab's Employee! I will NOT ever darken the door at Sonora Quest again and I will never recommend any outfit that tolerates such behavior from its employees! read more

If you seriously hate your job that much, then go across the street and work somewhere else. This place is consistently packed with people. The people behind the desk treat you like cattle. My father and I made appointments to avoid a wait and still sat in the lobby for an hour. I finally walked up to complain how people after us had been taken back all she said without looking at me was the guy sitting off to the side on the phone was entering us into the computer. Seriously, what the hell does that even mean. Hate coming here and doubt I will ever come back. I'd rather pay more and be treated with some assemble of respect. Front desk staff is uniformly rude, deliberately slow, refuses to make eye contact and acknowledge person standing right in front of them, and apparently doesn't give a rat's a** about how they treat patients. I went for a blood test. distancing was very good, but one person was with no mask and no one asked that person to put one on. The service was very good and easy. everyone seems to be very professional. the wait was not too bad considering that the place was full of patients. It took about 15 minutes. The employee who took my blood was Edelyn. She was very friendly and very good and very enjoyable to talk to. she was very efficient and knew what she was doing. I recommend them highly. read more
