I had two separate Doctor's orders for my recent blood draw. In order to save money on repeat tests (the tests were called by different names on the two forms) I needed her help. Today my wife went in to drop off a specimen. The normal receptionists have been fired and the phlebotomists are now suppose to be receptionists and take blood and log in specimens. Are you kidding me? It was already chaotic. It was a huge mess. What happened to customer service? What's next will we will be asked to draw our own blood? Poor customer service. I had to wait an hour or better. The lady who advised me to use the kiosk and I did. For some reason the kiosk didn't submit my check in information. People came in after me were called before me. After a while I inquired as to if appointments were taken first. She said yes. By this time there was only one person in the office besides myself. I explained I checked in at the kiosk. My name wasn't on the checked in board. She tells me, "I don't know what to do for you." She knew I'd been there. I was upset to tears. read more

Just got back from the Senora Quest location at 3805 East Bell where I have gone for blood work and urine specimen collection roughly every 4 months for years. They have a new procedure obviously designed by some bean counter at corporate headquarters. No front desk staff. Kiosks don't work for appointments which I always make - never have worked! The person drawing your blood and giving you the urine sample jar is expected to do everything. I sat for over 25 minutes while this person tried to enter my order on the computer. Finally she was ready to draw my blood and provide me with my urine sample cup. On the way out I asked who was responsible for the changes resulting in this type of a shitshow. I was told "corporate" and to complain on google if I don't like. Absolutely no consideration for the patient or patients time schedule! read more

Ariel took my blood today and let me tell you, no one describes a blood draw as pleasant but she made it as close to pleasant as possible! I Didn't even feel the needle go in, she was incredibly quick and clearly experienced. I was in and out of the office in probably 25 minutes thanks to her! I sent the following email to websupport@sonoraquest.com. "My PCP DR. ordered a COVID-19 test for me at Sonora Quest Lab in Sierra Vista, Arizona. I registered, opened an online account, and scheduled to do that at 12:30 PM on 11.21.2023 I have Medicare Advantage coverage. I tried hard to find out if the total cost of the test would be covered by the insurance. However, there was no way to find that out through my account and patient portal. I was forced to call and there was no option to talk to anyone about that. I pressed the option 7 button and the respondent transferred me to someone else, who told me that order from my doctor had been received but she could not inform me if the cost would be covered by my insurance and I should call my insurance to find that out, instead of asking me for my Insurance ID numbers and doing that herself. All the other medical facilities and doctors' offices do that themselves and provide the information to the patients before scheduling. I cancelled the appointment of 11.21.2023 for the above reason. You need to make changes in patients' accounts and portals as well as in phone options so that one can find out such important financial information before scheduling. If you provide me with the information that I need, I may reschedule the appointment." read more

I paid a bill right after the visit, but I keep receiving invoices after a year and it is impossible to communicate with them to clarify. They just send me over an over and envolope to send them a check. They have a phone number but it is impossible to get help in this matter... they a chatbot that it doesn´t help either. I was able to fill out a form for my request, and I just received an email saying that I need to call to the same phone number that never gives me an option to get help. The bill keeps increasing and nobody responds for explanaitions. read more

ABSOLUTELY THE WORST lab in the city. Used to be convenient and well-run. Now you MUST (attempt) to make an appointment through their terrible, user UNfriendly website. Can't make an appointment in person. When you arrived there no longer is anyone in reception. You must sign on on their stupid, impossible 'kiosks" which are ALSO an exercise in futility. "Customer service" is no longer part of this lousy outfit. I'm sure SQ is making lots of money now that it doesn't have to pay staff to man the front desk and assist clients. Wow. It's difficult to express how bad my experience with SQL is without cussing, but I'll do my best. I have tried to pay a bill using their website for several months. I've made a few attempts. Their system refuses to verify my card. I have checked and re-checked my info. It's good, and my HSA card is good. The only reason I have an unpaid bill is SQL lost my blood sample, I had to give more blood, but my insurance didn't cover the second batch of lab work. That only compounds my frustration... this bill I cannot pay is for services rendered after they lost my blood/test results but were paid for a test I never saw the results for. Good luck fighting that. Sonoran Quest is borderline incompetent, from billing to handling your bodily fluids and test results. read more

Personal nice treat us with respect. We ( my husband and I) walk in for a Covid test we knew it that we have to wait. After test was done they told us that they will send results in 3 days . Pointless. iT'S A COVID Test!!!!! Two days pass by we are getting worse and no results. We are an older couple. 70 years old and my husband has a lot of health issues , can someone figure this out. I don't know which department is responsible of results . It's just show no compassion and lack of kindness. read more

I usually get an annual check up, routine blood panel. I am in excellent health. The BIG problem I have EVERY year is with Sonoran Quest Labs. I do self pay and usually you get abouit 25% discount for self pay. I received my bill a few months back and spoke with representative. She told me the amount would be adjusted for self pay and then told me the new amount to pay and I did. About a month or so later, I received another bill for the other portion. I tried calling in...the automated system hung up on me even though I was well within business hours. I tried doing the call back....no call back so I wrote on the bill the specifics that I'd already paid....well...I received another bill today. I am currently waiting for a call back. I have ALL of my calls recorded...especially for nonsense like this. This is a MAJOR waste of my time. I am going to tell my primary Doctor that I won't be getting an annual anymore if we have to use SQL as I've had this problem before and won't do it again. Normally I don't give reviews when it comes my blood work because it's never a good experience. I have extremely problematic veins so the experience is never anything to talk about. Well today I had to make yet another visit to Sonora Quest for blood work. Today I was met by Lakisha and she was very welcoming and personable. I told her my veins are problematic and immediately she calmed my nerves and I felt at ease. I really felt the need to express how professional and personable Lakisha is and to recommend if you ever need blood work completed at Sonora Quest located on 27th Avenue and Baseline, do yourself a favor and request Lakisha. I scheduled an appointment here and parking was pretty full on a Wednesday morning. Definitely schedule an appointment if you can. They do accept walk ins but you will keep getting pushed back if people with scheduled appointments show up. The waiting room is small and outdated. The computer chair in one of the exam rooms was torn to shreds. The check in module glitches so I had to check I with the front staff. This place definitely needs some updating. The two front desk staff working there did not seem too friendly but the phlebotomists were amazing and much more personable. Another tip is to call your insurance to make sure certain tests are covered if you do not want to be surprised by a hefty bill. They don't pull insurance ahead of time to see what is covered and I was told if I wanted to know what was covered I need to call my insurance company beforehand. read more

Sonora, quest, labs, awful, terrible place that after the treatment of the people in office the last time i went and vowed i would never go back! Well lo and behold I get a debt collector bill yesterday for Sonora Quest in the mail. Of which I pay my bills in full each time. So I get my 2022 tax folder out to see what I paid and if there was a bill in there. And of course no. so I have to call Sonora quest to see what's going on and I got the rudest most disrespectful girl in the whole entire world on the phone after 25 minutes. She proceeds to tell me that I have two addresses one in Scottsdale and one in Glendale and I said never in my entire life have I lived in Scottsdale. She says well obviously you must!!! She won't give me any more information of where they sent these bills or anything like that but says you need to pay us - so pay RSI enterprises.! She then hangs up on me. Now I got poor treatment when I went there, I have no idea how long ago. And now I get crappy rude treatment in regards to a bill over the phone years later- obviously they are sending my bills to a Scottsdale address and not to my actual address of 24 years, and she wouldn't change that either! Worst company ever ever or at least one of them! I am so thankful my doctor doesn't use them and I never will either! Spoke to a SQ rep about why they sent a debt collector for $82 and she said we sent a statement 4x and said to your address in Scottsdale! I have never lived in Scottsdale! I had a medical issue last night and my doctor prescribed a lab. Because of the medical issue, I cannot walk. My husband went inside to get a wheelchair which they didn't have, so I had to crawl into the building. My husband asked if we could borrow one of their chairs with wheels. They refused and told us they could not help or touch me other than to draw my blood. I'm sure the lawyers have set the ground rules. The staff avoided looking at me. A guy followed us in the room to once again tell us that they couldn't help me or touch me, and I was on my own. The only redeeming experience was the person who drew my blood and was sorry she couldn't help more. She gave me gloves, so I could crawl into the bathroom to give a sample. She is the reason I gave them 2 stars. It is a sad day when a place of medicine lacks compassion and concern for another human being. read more

I went in around the 1st of August. The kiosk wasn't working well and 2 older gentlemen struggled with it and no one was at the front desk to help slowing checkin dramatically. I had an appt as indicated on the screen in the lobby, but everyone that checked in before me without an appt were taken before me which begs the question, why make an appt. I was finally called 20 min after the appt time and the only friendly person was the man who drew my blood. It was a pretty pathetic experience compared to previous ones, so I am hoping it was a one off. I do have to apologize for being short with the girl that came out to get the last man before me in the place when I asked how long it would be and that I had an appt but watched as others were called. I wasn't wrong in what I was saying, but I didn't say it with the grace and patience I would have wished to have in the situation. For that I am sorry. read more

Walked in today. three girls at the desk, not one was wearing a mask! Only the technician was. To check-in, you need to be less than 6 feet. None one of the four people waiting wrote a mask. What were they thinking? One of the front desk ladies had to open a door for me, not wearing a mask and 3 feet away! To draw blood you have to be closer than 6 feet! Anyone NOT wearing a mask is putting the technician at great risk. Selfish? Dumb? ALL the lab employees must be required to wear masks at all times. ALL laboratory testing facilities should require ALL patients to wear masks. Loew's was giving them away free today! YOU should also! No mask no entry and no test! Scheduled an appointment if possible! They accept walk-ins but depending on the day you may have to wait to be seen since they prioritize appointments and timed lab tests. I scheduled mine as soon as I had the lab order. My appointment was at 9am and I was out of the office by 9:17am. My phlebotomist Carolyn (excuse me if misspelled!) was excellent and was very gentle with the big needle. Everything went smoothly even though I was nervous. read more

I received orders for labs that needed to be done ASAP. No lab draws done in Gold Canyon. Tried to make an appointment at Sonoran Lab on Southern or one on Crismon. Both over 15 mile drive for me. Not a single appointment open for over a week. I drove to the Southern location, I electronically checked in and waited 45 minutes. I went to the desk and asked how many people ahead of me, I had 15 people ahead and told it would be another 1-2 hours as a walk in. This is totally unacceptable. I have scheduled the first appointment available, over 1 week away. This is after my Dr appointment that I need the lab work drawn for. Ridiculous. read more

The reason for the 2 stars is because you can never get anyone on the line in billing without a ridiculous amount of wait time. It is every time I call! I literally just waited 45 mins and hung up because I couldn't wait any longer. The lab itself is good! People on the phone are good! Very poor customer service. They do not try to work with you. I was triple charged for the way my doctor coded the bloodwork. First they said my doctor's office could fix it; my doctor's office promptly did. Then they essentially said, "oh well, we are going to charge you anyway." I escalated the matter, to no avail.
