We have used this store 3 times. The cards we received all 3 times were excellent--top notch. We…read morewere planning to continue using this store over Staples as it is obviously a local business and we wanted to support local business--no brainer. This morning I called to ask if I could get some cards done asap. I would not have minded being told "Sorry, we can't do cards in 2 days" but was told all was fine. When I came in I was told unceremoniously right off "We can't do this font" although the font was very basic. The tone in the room was already unfriendly as all get go. hmmm..I felt like a misbehaving child. Then both men tried to put my file on their computer which was almost impossible for them to do because I "didn't have a mac." There was lots of grumbling. It was becoming obvious that being up to date was not a priority this particular store, but I didn't mind. I just wanted cards that looked nice. I asked one of the men "What do you think--would this font look better in blue? You print so many cards, you must have an opinion.." This was treated as an evil question...I'm still baffled at why. The man me "You shouldn't make cards in a hurry." I explained I make quick decisions and they are usually spot on--that's just my style, so could he please just give me an opinion based on his expertise about the color and we'd be done. I was all smiles but he just glared at me, annoyed and said "We can't help you." Not "I'm sorry, this is too complicated," which would still have been weird, but okay. He simply said "We can help you" because I asked his opinion on a color. And no, there was no one waiting in any line. We were alone. I have never, in my life, experienced such rude behavior from a store owner. All I did was smile and ask one question about a color. And for this, I was shoved out the door. On top of this, the price I was quoted was thirty dollars more than last time when we had art. These cards were to be simple fonts with no artwork--yet all of a sudden, the price almost a hundred dollars for the smallest amount of cards. And for the record, he was rude before I heard the price. I am baffled and wonder what in the world I did here. If you want old fashioned cards and can pretty much figure out everything yourself and have a week to wait, this may still be the shop for you. The quality is fine. But if you'd like to be treated like it's okay to ask an expert what color he thinks would look best without getting booted out the door rudely for daring to ask..Woah. Sorry. So much for supporting our locals. I'm on my way to Staples where people smile back. I wasted half a day in the end and was made to feel like a misbehaving child. How do they stay in business?
