Such a great spot. A must go - if the truck is anywhere near you, make it a priority. Great food and even better service. Mahalo!

Best burgers & snow on the West side! Highly recommend. I'm mean why not? Can't beat a delicious burger & snow on a beach.

Summer, Carrie, Reydel, Sadie, Malia, Bishop, Greg, Roz (to name a few) are awesome and always make us feel welcome. Great service, plenty of laughs, and that comfortable local atmosphere that's hard to find. And the food! Some of our favorites are the country smash burger, pupu steak, poke (from fresh caught Ahi) and short ribs. The new pork chops are really good, and the loaded omelette is definitely worth coming in hungry for. Of course, we've also managed to create our own unofficial drink menu. My drink is the "Trish-A-Rita": jalapeño tequila on the rocks with a side of soda water and lime. Spicy, refreshing and perfect. Mike's is the "Mike-Tai": fresh pineapple juice over ice in a tall glass with dark rum floated on top. Simple and dangerous because it goes down way too easily! But what really makes Lilikoi Lounge special is the people. Come for breakfast, lunch, dinner, special events or just a drink and you'll find good food, cold drinks, familiar faces and plenty of aloha. We're really lucky to have a place like this right here in Makaha Valley. And if you happen to order a Trish-A-Rita or a Mike-Tai, tell them Trish & Mike sent you.

We went to the Lilikoi Lounge for brunch on Sept. 25. It was a recommendation from my daughter…read more They are temporarily located in the same building where Lanterns in Waianae is. They are up the same stairs you take to go to Lanterns. Hours of operation are from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. The original location at the Makaha Resort was damaged from Hurricane Lowell. They are currently serving from a smaller menu, the food is delicious! We ordered the Lilikoi Rolls.. the best yet! Lilikoi breakfast; egg, breakfast meat, toast AND!!!! A choice of buttermilk or Lilikoi pancake. I chose the buttermilk. It was very good. Shrimp burger was a hit.. served with fries.. the fries were the best!!! Crunchy even after it cooled down! Friends ordered the plate lunch (forgot what it's called) it came with friend noodles, Kalbi, Mac salad & rice!. I got to sample some of it and it was very good! We even got to order the Lilikoi Cheescake! Another hit! We got to meet Chef Bishop! The mastermind behind the tasty food!! Chef and his crew know how to serve with Aloha ! It has a cute cafe vibe; with a beautiful view of the ocean just across the street! The prices are very good and the portions are generous! We want this business to survive after the damages of the hurricane. Please go and visit them. It's worth it and the drive going there is beautiful! I can't wait to back!!

Cute country feel eatery in waialua…read more Since it's semi outdoors it can get humid and prone to flies. I ordered the coconut shrimp and the locomoco. The coconut shrimp was pretty good. Size was decent and the portion was adequate. 6 pieces of golden flaky shrimp. I loved the coconut shreds on the rice. I wasn't a huge fan of Mac salad and the lettuce on the bottom but I understand why the plating was how it was so it's not a negative thing. The locomoco was dry and overcooked. I wasn't satisfied with this one and it unfortunately did affect my ratings. The party smelt amazing but as I bit into it, it was extremely crunching and a little bland in flavor. I think the gravy was great and wish I had more of the gravy to help the patty. The food came out fairly quickly and the staff was kind in bringing out the food. I'm glad I got to try this place out since I've past it several times and always seem too early or too late to try.

This was one of my favorite spots in Oahu!…read more I loved how many authentic local dishes they offered including lū'au, kalua pork, and lomi lomi salmon. All of the food was sooooo delicious--my favorite was the lū'au which was made with octopus! It all tasted very fresh and much better than the stuff I found in Waikiki. For the big platter pictured in my photo, it was approximately $25. Not the cheapest lunch but definitely worth it! They offered seating both indoors and outdoors. My only wish was that they would have had fans outside or something, to disperse the flies more easily--those were quite pesky. Great spot if you're up in North Shore and/or getting some rock climbing or hiking in out near Mokuleia!

Headed to Waianae to checkout the thrifting in the area and I needed breakfast. Found Pokai Bay…read moreRestaurant on Yelp and it looked easy enough to get to it. Once we turned the corner at the park, the parking lot in front of the restaurant was full. It looked like they had 4-5 parking stalls. So we parked across the way at the beach parking lot, like 10 steps from the restaurant parking lot. Cute! They have tables outside and a take out order window but it's hot and so we went in to enjoy dining in the AC. Cuuute the restaurant! It has a beautiful farmhouse theme and therefore they do have some farm house inspired dishes. For eats, I got the noodles with garlic chicken and that was a massive portion of chicken! Was ono though and so i was happy to have for dinner that evening and lunch and dinner the next day. I did my best to eat a third of my order at the restaurant. The noodles were delicious as well. It didn't come with rice so I'm glad my sister ordered the country fried mahi mahi. I had a taste of the mahi mahi and it does taste like country fried steak batter. And the way they served the fish gave it the country fried steak flare. It was very good. It's fish, so my sister was able to finish her dish. Oh, and Mac salad was good too. Service was AWESOME! There were three other tables being served by the one server but he did an excellent job. When we left, it looked like there were cop cars everywhere. I was a bit timid going out but then I noticed five cops ordering lunch at the take out window. So you know this place is winnahs! I'll be back for sure.

A case of baked goods draws your attention at the front counter. We were greeted and told to sit anywhere. The table service is friendly and attentive. Our server told us about the popular garlic chicken or fish fishes. The menu offers breakfast and lunch options. The portion of Garlic Chicken was huge (shareable). The coating was crispy but the sauce was overly sweet for me. Mac salad was good. I substituted the rice for green salad, which was fresh and delicious. My daughter had the Two Egg Breakfast came with four large pieces of bacon. She substituted rice for green salad. The eggs were perfectly cooked. Her breakfast was perfect. They do not have a kid's menu, so we shared our meals with my granddaughter, which was fine as we had a lot of food. Our server brought an extra plate for her. They serve ice cream and have a selection of beautiful desserts but we were full so will return to try out. There is a small private parking lot. The restaurant is walkable from the park/beach.
