He didn't stop until he was confident with the results and they came out fabulous! Sonny's team was very efficient and got the job done in record time! I hired him in 2015. Don't waste your time with him. He kept coming with extra charges, didn't stick with promised time line, did an awful job. My first review was removed, I don't know how and why, he replied with bunch of BS, don't use him. He threatened me to leave the job in the middle and no, I did not hire anybody before him to ruin my floors so he can save my floor. I did get estimates from others like him, he wasn't cheap, he was in mid-high range. DO NOT HIRE HIM. He is very disrespectful as well. If you answer this do not create lies, be honest if you can Sonny floor. read more

I called Sonny in a panic after the first flooring contractor I hired turned out to have no idea what he was doing and suggested I install laminate flooring instead of refinishing our hardwood floors. Sonny came by the very same day to look at the project and give me a quote. His team was able to start earlier than anticipated and they finished the job under a time crunch to allow us to keep our original move date which I hugely appreciated. Beyond the timing and efficiency, Sonny and his team did an impeccable job. The hardwood we were refinishing was pre-finished wood which required a special sandpaper to refinish. Without any prompting on our end,Sonny contacted the company who manufactured the wood to procure the sandpaper without skipping a beat. I loved that he notified of me the issue AFTER he had found a reasonable solution instead of calling to just tell me the bad news. The original floors had some pet urine stains from the previous owners but these stains are INVISIBLE now. My husband and I were so pleased with Sonny and his team in every way. If you are looking to get hardwood flooring refinished in your home I would highly recommend him! read more

My cat unfortunately damaged my apartment closet floor (like many guys he missed the litterbox a lot), and I needed to get it fixed before moving out. Sonny quoted me a very good price to replace the hardwood, and his crew were able to remove the badly stained floor and replace it in no time. They even made sure the subfloor was completely dry before putting the new floor down. Cat is not allowed back in the closet, but I would trust Sonny's crew to fix the next floor my cat ruins. read more

This is my second home that Sonny and his crew worked on. My first home, 10 years ago, was a new install and came out perfect. My second home was a partial install, repair/weave and a refinish. I'm so pleased with the results and would refer him to anyone needing this work done. read more

Sonny and his team did an amazing job on our wood floors. We had a lot to do, and he was exact with the timing. He and his team were professional, kind, and extremely hard working. They came when they said they would and even came for half a day on a Saturday to make sure they kept to their schedule. The price was very reasonable and Sonny was a pleasure to deal with. The workmanship could not have been better. A+ all around. I recommend him to everyone. On time, on budget, and perfectly done! read more

Sonny is the real deal! Him and his team ripped up old tile in our house, laid down new flooring and stain and sealed all of it to perfection. Couldn't ask for a better experience. read more

I hired Sonny to repair a small area of buckled floor. After the completion of the job, the floor is still wavy and not flat. I was then told the floor was too badly damaged that the boards will need to be replaced to repair the issues. He should have let me know before I spent hundreds of dollars on the repair. The top coat of poly was not smooth to touch after it dried. I ended up smoothing it out with sand paper by hand. Unfortunately, I do not recommend their service. read more

Sonny and his team installed new hardwood floors (removing old tile) in our kitchen and refinished the floor in our family room. They were extremely professional, clean and efficient. Sonny was always very responsive and added some extras we asked of him late in the job with no problem. He worked around our schedule with no issues. We would certainly use Sonny again!! read more

Sonny and his team completed 4 bedrooms in our new house fast and beautifully done. They even blended the new hard wood into the existing hallway seamlessly. We've added value to our home without spending a fortune. Will use again. Thanks ! read more

Sonny and his team were excellent from start to finish in re-finishing two rooms with wood floors. Sonny arrived on time to see our house and gave us a fair and competitive estimate. He was able to start the work on the day we needed and even fished early by working on a Saturday. The end result was beautiful floors. We highly recommend him and his team! read more

Sonny was so responsive - we texted throughout the entire process which made it so easy. His team did a great job! The reason I hired him over the competition is because he really knows the product. I had to do some patching because we took down a wall and combined two rooms. With that, we had to match the existing wood. I though we had red oak but once Sonny took a look, he said "no, that's white oak!" He really helped me out but making sure we had the right product and that was before he was even hired! He also bought wood filler and filled some nails for us. I would definitely use him again. I've posted some before and after pictures! read more

I hired Sonny because of the positive yelp reviews. Huge mistake. He made my floors worse. The floors at 150 year old pumpkin pine. He ruined. I asked his to fix his mistakes. He said I had to let the loot cure. Then he refused. Here is a visor of the finished floor. Wtf sonny. IMG_0043.MOV read more

Sonny was wonderful to work with. He was literally a text message away when he first came and quoted me. I was getting quotes from different places he had the unbeatable price. He made the process so smooth. What amazed me was when I still had carpet over my hardwood he just stomped the floor lightly and told me I had great wood under it. Once I removed the carpet myself I wasn't too sure how it would come out and when I called him on a Wednesday he told me he would be there on Friday and man he sure was. He looked at the floor and said this is going to come out nice. They were able to do everything in three days and he also recommended me a floor cleaner to use. I wish I could give Sonny more stars. If you want your hardwood floors refinished PLEASE CALL SONNY. He will take care of you I am happy on how they came out. read more

We've just bought a house in Quincy Adam area and was looking for someone to help sand and refinish the floor. Since we needed to move in asap, we did some quick research on Google and found Sonny Floor Services. The first thing we're impressed about them is being on time and schedule. After calling them, they showed up at our house instantly to check the floor, provided us a quote as well as eta for the work. The cost was reasonable and they're able to finish their work in 3 days as planned. Secondly, we're amazed by the quality of their work. It's just beyond what we had expected. Our current floor looks brand new and greatly improves the look of our house. We'll definitely recommend Sonny to our friends or anyone who needs their floor redone! read more

Sonny did a great job on our wood floors that were in bad shape. Looks like new now! He is reliable, responds very quickly to any question, showed up on time and did the job in the time he said. Customer service couldn't be better and excellent price. I highly recommend Sonny. read more

Update review: I noticed 10-15 tiny holes in the wood. I first called Sonny and sent him several text messages. He denied that it had anything to do with him. I had it inspected by a pest control company who said that it was not caused by insects, but that it was damage that probably occurred when the wood was installed. In addition, there were another 10-15 light spots, which I thought also could be insects, but was told that it was wood filling. So it was known that there were damage to those spots and they were filled in. They are concentrated on the 2 ends of the room, so I am assuming that the pieces were placed there since they would be less noticeable. The rest of the wood looks good but still not a perfect job and I wasted a considerable amount of time in getting the wood investigated. read more

Sonny was great to work with. He came in, gave me an estimate for new hardwood floors on the spot, and had the materials ordered very quickly. Delivery was on time, and he worked with our schedule so that we could get the floors installed before we moved into our new house. The floors look great, as do the stairs. I would definitely use him in the future. read more

Sonny and his team did an amazing job installing some oak floors in our house. They ripped up the old carpet and installed the floors, then sanded and finished them in the house. He recommended that over pre-finished due to the uneven floors/sub-floors in our old house. They were efficient, reasonably-priced (about $1000 cheaper than the other quote I received), and they look great! I think it took about 1.5 weeks total to do somewhere between 500 and 700 square feet. They hauled away the carpet as well, which was great! Thanks, Sonny! read more
