The same two men had previously replaced a fan in my living room. I met them at the door wearing a mask and asked them if they could put a mask on because I have an immune compromised roommate. They stood at the door looking at me with no response. I said I could provide the masks and still no response. I repeated that I could provide the masks and one guy finally said okay. Very unprofessional. I showed them where the fans needed to go. The fan in the dining room just needed to be replaced. Then I showed him where I wanted the fan in the kitchen and he immediately said, we're not prepared to do the work. He said because there's no electricity going to the area and I have no attic and so on. I told him I had told the guy at their company that there had not been a fan nor light in the kitchen and he said the guy at the office didn't understand the scope of the job. He didn't say it was going to cost more or that he need different tools that he didn't bring, just that they were not prepared to do the work. He even called his boss and I guess his boss agreed. I didn't understand, because I had 5 fans in my house all installed from scratch, by a different contractor without any issues and I told him this, he said my fans had been installed wrong. I said you replaced that fan a couple of years ago, he said I probably did, but I didn't do the wiring. I asked if he was going to still replace the fan in the dining area. He reluctantly told his worker to go get the ladder. Then he said to me, you know, I wish I could do the job for you. He was talking about the kitchen fan. I told him I didn't believe him. I told him I had saved up for this installation and he said, yea I understand how you feel, I have four kids. I said you can't compare our situations, you are an electrician who can pick and choose the jobs he does, and I am a struggling female senior citizen. He repeated he understood, because he has four kids and I repeated not to compare us and then said, you know what, I can't work for you! and stormed out, yelling to his worker at the truck, we're not doing the job! I called the office and explained what had happened and if they had anyone else who could come out. He said, let me call you back in a few. When he called he said his BOSS said that I should find someone else to do the job. I'm not sure what happened here, but if you decide to hire this company, make sure you don't make a Friday afternoon appointment and make sure you don't ask them to wear a mask. And if any problems should arise, don't bother calling the office because the BOSS at Sonner Electric, doesn't care and will not make it right! read more

I called Sonner Electric for an electrical problem on one of my rentals in Lancaster, we made an appointment but they fail to show up, I called that night to complaint and they returned my call right away apologizing for the incident and assured me the next day will be there on time. Not only they were on time but they fixed the problem and the best part is they didn't charge me for the repairs to make up for the inconvenience of the previous day. I scheduled an appointment for an estimate with Sonner Electric and he confirmed with me a time, he said 2:30pm-3:30pm. 3:45 pm came along and no called and no electrician to be insight. So I called and I said are you close or stuck in traffic I had an appointment at 2:30pm. He said whats your name, I informed him and he said oh well whats your address..... I gave it to him again and he said okay ill send someone there in 15 minutes. That was unprofessional and unexceptionable. I work in the appointment and customer industry and this is a very bad no..no. The electrician Scott did an amazing job repairing power to miscellaneous outlets in my house. Not only did he fix the outlets I initially called about, they restored electricity to an entire room that had been without power for 2 years. I thought the work involved would be super costly, so that's why we didn't get it fixed for so long, but the repair was an somewhat easy fix apparently and Scott completed the job(s) under 2 hours. After the technician left we noticed one outlet was still disconnected, but the owner and Scott were quick to come back and fix that too at no additional charge. I hired these guys based on reviews. I have 3 complaints, not all that bad and I will live with it but I will never use them again. They charged me $635 to install 2 security lights; at the time I figured that's the price for electrical work and the reviews said they had good prices. Now I have someone telling me that was way too much for the work that was done. Also, the parts they used were just terrible and burned out after a month. I had to go to home depot and install some new lights. Also, the guy they sent out was a smoker, that's fine, but he flicked his cigarette butts into my backyard. read more
